Most consistent taqueria in Berkeley. Best chile verde in my opinion and the chips are super fresh.

Open late! Order at the counter and they'll bring it to the table. Plenty of vegetarian options and they're clearly marked on the menu. We particularly recommend the enchiladas and the horchata, as well as all of the desserts (mmmm flan!). Not sure what it means that smiles are free on Wednesdays?Don't park in the lot, that's for customers of target and other places on that lot. There's metered street parking on university Ave but if you're here late enough it's free :)Plenty of room for big groups and you might even hear some live music.Restroom in the back.

i've lived so close to here for almost a year, and just now finally got to try it out! i can definitely say i've been missing out!i got a carne asada burrito, and it is huge! it can easily be split into two meals! the only downside is that they do kind of skimp on the meat hahahathe service is great! they prepared my food fast for pickup, and i can also see this as a great place to eat at with family. plenty of seating and a super fun vibe.

First time customer here and I would return for sure! Tried the Chicken burrito and it was very flavorful! A little bit on dry side but it wasn't a big deal. Still very good and portion is huge!

It was good for curing my enchilada craving but I will never get their mole again. Horchata was good!!! And I liked their salsa bar. The lady was nice

Usually I get the quesadilla Monte Christo here, it's so good that it's hard to consider anything else. It's perfectly browned, oozing melted cheese, and filled with your choice of meat. Two sauces come with it, one spicy herbal green, the other pink and piquant. The chicken mole and chili rellenos are also excellent. Their flan tastes homemade, thick and rich.

Delicious! Order at the counter. We loved the tortilla soup- very big bowl! The shrimp tacos were delicious. My husband loves the meat in his carne Asada tostada. We will be back. Also, props on the way they handled a disgruntled homeless man yelling at people in the restaurant. We left as he came up to our tableBut the staff was handling it well. Thank you!

I ordered from presumably the daughter of the owner and was surprised to find a bowl of lentil soup was 11.99 and added chorizo was 3.99. After taxes and tip my soup was close to astronomical 20 dollars. I asked for pan and mantequilla in the side and she said we don't do. I was like what? She said we don't have butter! Now what restaurant doesn't have butter. The vegetarian part of the soup was okay but the chorizo was burnt. The daughter alarmed informs her mother who looks at it and just says no that's well done. That's how we cook it. I wish I could get my money back but instead I'll just have to hope you don't waste 20 on the worst lentil soup of your life. I think the daughter stole 10 dollars from me because honestly when did soup cost more than 5 dollars? The free water is the only good thing. None of the food items showed up itemized. Just open food. I can't believe I got so scammed. No wonder the place was empty.

Late night, I was craving a burrito and this place was open. I ordered a carne asada burrito to go, and it was alright. Not the tastiest burrito, but not horrible. It's nice that they also put chips in your bag as well. I like that the restaurant is spacious and being open pretty late (as most spots in the area close at 9 pm or earlier). Cons, food didn't taste that great.Pros, open pretty late, order made quickly and a good amount of tables/seats.
