Saw someone post the food here had to come in and try it for myself and this places led was PACKED. I got thrrr at 5:15 and it was packed and they just opened at 5:00PM, I got the shrimp fried rice, Mongolian beef chow mane, and the salt and pepper chicken wings & fries, everything was good, THE SHRIMP FRIED RICE WAS THE BEST FRIED RICE IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE, I live in Sacramento and I've had mostly all the Chinese food places and don't really like their rice and I get out here and they have the best rice I will be coming back Food: 10/10Taste: 10/10Price: 10/10Tip: 0 (spent alot of money on food

Another night out with a rather large group. They usually visit, but this was my first time. It was very cold inside, but we stayed for less than an hour. The menu was very big, but I knew I wanted chicken wings. I had the korean chicken wings and they were very good. Not too spicy, and were still good airfried the next day. It wasn't very busy and service was quick. I didn't drink anything, but the bar looked like it had a creative menu.

Been going there for years and was glad when they open the Pub Brewry down the street. My favorites are: General Tsu chicken Ginger Crab Fried Rice Dry Sting BeansThe only problem is parking is horrible.

Honestly they only have one meal I can eat there since I'm mostly vegan/vegetarian, and it's the garlic green beans and it is sooo good! Oh and the garlic fries are great too. For those who love chicken wings, they have great wings there also, remembered from years ago when I did eat meat.

Stopped by here with a couple of friends and we enjoyed the vibe here! I'm not a huge fan of breweries and pubs since I don't really drink beer but there were alot of food options here along with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages! We ordered the kimchi fried rice, garlic noodles, chicken wings and spicy string beans! Everything was delish and tasty. I liked that the brewery was right next door and the employees were very helpful with the tasting and giving samples so we can try out different beers before we commit to purchasing a full size one! Would recommend this pub for a chill Sunday group hangout!

I've been coming here for the past couple of years, but now I only find myself coming back for the garlic noodles. It was pretty loud, even for a pub. You order through the qr code but it takes awhile for the food to come out. Garlic noodles were 5/5. They were chewy, buttery, and garlicky. Mongolian Beef was 0/5. Sooooo salty I couldn't take more than 3 bites. Monkey King fried rice 2/5. It had good additions like spam and chinese sausage but also very salty. Salt & Pepper Wings were 3/5. Nothing to wow me. This place is located in a busy area so there is only street parking with some parking garages in walking distance. I appreciate the late hours. Next time my friends and I are craving asian food late at night, I would come back.

I haven't been here in years so thought we would stop by. This place is really not it anymore. The menu has downsized and the quality of the food also went down. It's very loud since it's a pub and you order on the QR code. Garlic noodles - 1/5 didn't taste garlicky at all. Really just tasted like a chow mien or something. And it was so much liquid at the bottom of the dish. This was not done well at allKimchi fried rice - 2.5/5 it barely had any kimchi in it. Was basically a regular fried rice with an egg on top. Back then this rice was orange...now it's brown. It tastes fine but it's definitely not kimchi fried riceKorean wings - 3/5 it's very sweet...kinda reminds me more of a sweet chili sauce vs a spicy Korean wing. Salt and pepper wings - 3.5/5 it's prob one of the better things we ate today but you can see all the msg on there coating the entire wingCalamari - 3/5 again the whole thing is coated in msg so it tastes good but ehhOverall I don't think I'll be coming back. Foods just mediocre and there's a lot more food in Alameda I prefer.

My first time here, a lot of people told me this was a great place. And right, they were! Good food, and a cool ambiance makes Monkey King Pub & Grub a good place to check out on a Saturday afternoon. Stepped up to the counter and placed my order with a really cool host. I ordered the Lemon Pepper wings, Lumpia, Dry Fried Ribs, and the star of the show, Garlic Crab Fried Rice. And a Thai Iced Tea to wash it down. The Lemon Pepper Wings were good and crispy, with a lot of flavor. I asked for ranch sauce, which went perfectly with the chicken. The Lumpia was decent, with a sweet chili sauce. The Garlic Crab Fried Rice was off the hook! Delicious, with lots of flavor, and crab in almost every bite. It was so good, I ordered another before I left! The Thai Iced Tea was the BEST I've ever had. It was made perfect with the right amount of ice. The only disappointment was the Dry Fried Ribs. No real flavor, and LOTS OF BONES rather than meat. I was thinking baby back ribs fried, but this is more like "rib pieces" but it has way too many bones. I wouldn't order it again. Overall, I had a great experience with good customer service. It didn't take long for my order, although I had to go back to the counter after 20 minutes because they forgot my Lumpia order. Looking forward to going back and trying something new.

I love the kimchi fried rice and lemon pepper wings and fries. I order at least once a quarter.

My first impressions of Monkey King Pub & Grub were that they are certainly the place to be for late night eating and drinking! Our host/waiter was a very friendly guy who greeted us and we waited a few minutes to be seated at our table. The place was very busy and a bit noisy but that's what to expect since this pub was filled with families and friends who were there to get their "Grub-On"!!! By the looks of things at other tables there were quite a few dishes that looked really good and delicious...this being my first time there my friend and I ordered their Wonton Soup (we ordered extra Wonton), an order of Garlic Noodles, Spicy/Sweet Korean Style Chicken Wings, Mango Lemonade and their Lychee Lemonade. Everything that we ordered was delicious especially the Korean Style Chicken Wings...they were Tangy and Sweet just the way we like them.
