Mi Carnal Market

My love for Mi Carnal runs so, so deep. Where else can you get large avocados for 3 for $1 or two honeydews for $1? Or in the summer, 20 limes for $1? Or 2 lbs of navel oranges for $1? I mean the specials here are actually crazy. I regularly walk out of here with 20lb of groceries for around 10 bucks. Yes, the groceries outside are definitely some type of salvage and should be carefully chosen and then eaten IMMEDIATELY (or as soon as you can manage). Sure, everything else in the market is priced pretty normally. But seriously, how did this neighborhood get so lucky? This is THE spot for very ripe groceries at an incredible price.

Mi Carnal Market looks the typical mexican market with the usual fresh meat section, produce in front of the store, mexican pastries, groceries, spices, but no tacqueria.strange that they would carry asian spices, condiments, groceries. even stranger, the cashier spoke arabic (certainly not spanishdrink: Tropical "banana" 1/2 ltr. (1.99)-54 grams sugar, 46 mg sodium, articfically flavored!, yellow dye too-from Honduras, not mexico. (mexico only uses natural ingredients....-taste nasty after a few sips, doesn't taste like "banana"1 stardrips:-be wary of "mexican" products,, may not be authentic mex-pricey?, some items unpriced.2.5 stars.

This is a great local market. It serves a need in this neighborhood and offers a wide variety of foods at a fair price.

Very nice produce and reasonable.Example: special deal, beautiful mangos 2 for a dollar or 10 in a box fir $4.99. Persimmons at $1.29lb. Large pomegranates 2 / $2.70, abd lots more - compared to other stores- exceptional.

I've lived around the corner from here for almost 8 years now before it was even a market, it just got better and better I love running there when I need something or I'm cooking and miss something last minute they always have everything I need . . . The only problem is those lines some of the ladies in there don't respect the little space or the line I've got into conflict with different ladies Bc they just come up there cutting I always tell them do something about those linessss
