This is the only bakery in Fremont known for its high-quality Kouign Amann. I have known them since Fremont Restaurant Week 2024. I ordered their specials online for Easter Sunday and forgot they are unavailable for pickup at Newark Farmers Market. They were kind enough to have someone deliver to my house for free. I wanted to tip the delivery man, but he was in a hurry, so I'll tip them on my next order in person. I returned to their kiosk at Newark Farmers Market to try their Salted black Tahini Cookie and their famous Original Kouign Amann. The cookie was gooey, a bit crispy, and tasted like salted chocolate chip but more like a rich brownie flavor. I gave my dad the Kouign Amann; he said it was a bit too sweet for his Asian taste. There's no store, so it's only online pickups and orders on the go. You can find their tent every Sunday, except on holidays. They sold out half the display by lunchtime.

I love this place!! I try to make it to the Newark Farmer's Market every other Sunday to get some of their yummy pastries. This is a family-owned business and they are usually out at a number of farmer's markets. They offer a variety of different and unique pastries such as scones, croissants, cookies, morning buns and cakes. But they are probably most known for their amazing kouign amanns! They have so many flavors, sizes and variations of the kouign amann and I love it. They're so crispy on the outside yet so soft, buttery and sugary on the inside. While the plain versions are amazing, I do like to try their seasonal variations and some honorable mentions are the caramel apple kouign amann and pumpkin pecan kouign amann.I have found myself now trying their other treats such as the kouign amann twist, kouign amann bites but my new favorite is their very own kouign amann cookie. Just imagine the original kouign amann but in cookie form and it's covered in chocolate and sprinkled with sea salt. This one is amazing!!! I love the service here as the ladies running the stands at the farmers markets are so friendly and welcoming. The prices here are very reasonable and you're getting high quality pastries that are made with high quality and fresh ingredients.

I LOVE their kouign amans!!! I get them in all their forms - from their classic "muffin" shape (in various flavors), to their twist, to their mini bites. They have a stand at the Kaiser Fremont farmers market on Thursdays and I always try to stop by early as some of their items sell out fast.Dont miss out, dont skip out or you're gonna pout!!

Absolutely the best Kouign-amann I have ever had! I've had Kouign-amanns dozens of times. B Patisserie was my favorite bakery for years since I first tried them in Honolulu. But this one beats them by a good margin. Anyone I've introduced them to have enjoyed them immensely. I highly recommend them. It's a family owned and run business selling mostly at farmers markets around the Fremont area. Their service has been top notch every time I've bought from them. I love to support this local, family owned business and my stomach appreciates it. Go and try it and I bet you'll love it.

My favorite bakery @ Newark Farmers market. I've had their kouign aman a few times and it never disappoints. Today I went too late so missed the kouign aman, but got the morning bun and salted black tahini cookie and both are delish!!

As a self-proclaimed kougin amann connoisseur, I was SHOCKED that I only recently tried Mamahouse's! A fellow yelp elite recommended this to me and I finally made my way to the Newark farmers market to try it out myself. The buttery flaky layers are a masterpiece that you will indulge in from start to finish. I picked up their original kougin amann, as well as the sweet lemon and turmeric flavor, which I believe is seasonal. Unfamiliar with how turmeric plays out in a pastry, I was excited to try this first and it was AMAZINGLY good. The turmeric gives the pastry its vibrant yellow color more than anything, and the sweet lemon filling matches the brightness by having that tartness. Location info and all other info can be found on their instagram!

Absolutely love Mamahouse! I try to avoid visiting them every Saturday, at the Hayward Farmers Market location , as my waist line bears the brunt of my love of these sweet and savory treats. However, this weekend I indulged. My favorites is their Kouign Aman - they have a variety of flavors - and I love when they have their seasonal ones. However what I purchase every visit is their salted chocolate tahini cookie - it's absolutely delicious. Not too sweet, the salt is a good balance with the intense chocolate taste, and the tahini just rounds out everything. Boy they really did their thang when creating this cookie. I also am starting to love their sesame honey cashew cookie. Aside from their delicious items the ppl are so kind and personable. I encourage anyone who hasn't had their treats to give them a try - you will not be disappointed!

Just tried their lemon meringue. The crust was buttery and flaky. The lemon curd was perfectly between sweet and tart.

So I had the pleasure of trying your treats a few years ago when my friend sent me a box of cookies by mail during COVID when we had a few funerals. With the cookies, I was BLOWN away by everything about it. Yesterday, we celebrated the life of my beloved grandpa. My aunt hosted a brunch with all kinds of pastries before the funeral. I had no idea they got them from here when I asked them where the pastries were from, because everything in the big order that they made was beyond fantastic! I am not sure why it's during funerals that we meet again, but thank you for sweetening the sadness. God bless!
