This definitely satisfied my craving! A great place to get some filipino food. Everything we had was seasoned well. They have a menu of food that they offer everyday but they're also always changing their specials. Our food came out fast. This place is located on a pretty busy street with no designated parking lot so you do have to get lucky and find some street parking. There is outdoor seating with heaters when it gets cold. Also, you can only pay through venmo or zelle.

My best friend and I loved Lucky Three Seven! We ordered the G Fire Wings + Short Ribs with two cokes. It's been dope to explore and learn about the local Filipino American businesses in the area, especially since moving back to the Oakland after going to college in Chicago and having grown up in Frisco + Fremont. My only regret is I didn't come out and try the food sooner fr!! We're already making plans to come back + and I'm even more hyped because my work is ordering Lucky Three Seven for our holiday party! Shoutout to the Lucky Three Seven crew and to the owner, Mark, for all the great food recommendations for us first-timers and checking in on us! We really appreciate the fantastic service, and are so grateful to have shared a meal here!

POST-GAME AND PRE-GAME CAL FOOTBALL MEALSI'll admit the first time I heard about this place is what tragically happened to the owner. Due to that I wanted to come here to support Oakland businesses. Customers who ate here rave about the G Fire wings. The first time I came here was on a Sunday the day after Cal beat Auburn. Also that day was my birthday so I had two things to celebrate. I ordered the G Fire Wings along with two scoops of rice. I also ordered the XL lumpia as that is another item that customers rave. The G Fire Wings hype is real. They're worth ordering. These wings have a texture similar to the Korean chicken wings I ate at two Chinese restaurants in San Francisco. The XL lumpia is long and the pork filling is flavorful. After eating here I noticed the "Special of the Day" consisted of coconut chicken adobo with rice and G-Fire beef short ribs with rice. I knew I had to come back to Lucky Three Seven. The second time I came here was on Saturday October 5. Earlier that day I was at Berkeley (arrived around 3:50 AM) for ESPN College GameDay. I was hoping to order the coconut chicken adobo, but it wasn't available that day. I ordered one of the daily specials that day - pork belly adobo. I have a love-hate relationship with adobo as either it is a hit or miss with me at Filipino parties or restaurants. There are some reasons. I have had some adobos with the broth too soupy or oily. Other times the meat (pork or chicken) is dry and stringy. The adobo I ate at Lucky Three Seven was the pork belly adobo. The broth had that vinegar taste that associates with adobo. Also the broth wasn't too soupy. Most importantly the pork belly was moist. The fat was rendered well enough to eat. The pork belly adobo was one of the few times I've enjoyed eating adobo at a restaurant. The third time I came here was the following Saturday prior to the Cal-Pitt game. I was elated to see that the chicken coconut adobo was one of the specials of the day. The parts for the chicken adobo I had were the chicken wings. Regarding the broth the coconut milk cuts the sharpness of the vinegar. Yet there is still that adobo flavor from that dish. The use of the chicken wings results in a moist meat for this adobo dish. The chicken coconut adobo is the most unique adobo dish I've ever ate. The fourth time I came here was Saturday after the North Carolina State-Cal game. I came here close to 6:00 PM. One of the "Specials of the Day" was the G Fire short ribs with rice. The G Fire short ribs had a different flavor than the G Fire wings - the flavor similar to the short ribs on a Hawaiian lunch plate. The short ribs at Lucky Three Seven are meatier than most of the beef short ribs I've ate from other Hawaiian eateries.Whether before or after Cal sporting events if I am hungry I'll go to Lucky Three Seven.

I kept seeing raving reviews of this place on tiktok so I decided to come give it a try. Hands down the best wings I've had in a long time. This place is cash only or Venmo. You order at the window and they're extremely efficient. The food came out quickly and piping hot. 5 g fire wings and rice came out to be $15.50. The wings were perfectly marinated and saucy but still crispy. A must try if you're in Oakland.

Now here's an example of a place I would've never patronized had I not seen the YouTube videos of two separate local food vloggers, both of whom praised this spot to the skies. Granted I'm not a thirtysomething slacker that uses the word "hella" like five times in the same sentence, but I can appreciate a family-run business focused on the food of their heritage, in this case, Filipino, so I girded my loins. It's on Fruitvale close to 580 and definitely not the most parking-friendly area of Oakland. I found out later that the owner was tragically killed a couple of years ago, but the family has trudged on as it was attracting a lot of regulars when I visited in the middle of the day. There were over twenty choices on their menu, all of them served over rice. You order through a barricaded window much like a bank drive-thru window.Being that this was my first visit, I went with one of their basic plates, the $15 Pork Adobo over Rice. There was a huge pile of marinated pork belly in my carton and also two scoops of white rice (photo: https://yelp.to/YPo79dHXtv). In hindsight, I probably should've gone for something with veggies to provide textural contrast. I also wasn't expecting the adobo to be so sour. You can probably tell I'm not a regular Filipino foodie. No Diet Coke to wash it down either.FOOD - 3 stars...not my favorite pork dish but certainly plentifulAMBIANCE - 3 stars...it's more a takeout spot with some patio seating, no view of the kitchenSERVICE - 3 stars...little interaction and muffled by the window barrier TOTAL - 3 stars...I'd come back for other plates...in the daytimeRELATED - Exploring Oakland? Here's my collection of places I've visited and reviewed: https://bit.ly/2ObVcpQ

One of the best Filipino food spots in the bay, hands down! The pork belly adobo was perfectly marinated and they give huge and generous portions! The g fire wings is a must (it's what they're famous for). Wings had hella flavor and were super juicy. Don't forget your XL lumpia! RIP JUN

You know the spot is good when you see people waiting outside before it opens up. Lucky Three Seven has been on the list for me to go to, and I finally made it out. G Fire Wings has been seen everywhere on social media, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The wings are massive. The taste is incredible. It is a soy sauce base with sesame and a few over spices that I can't pinpoint. It is unique and a one of a kind taste. I will definitely come back to just get the wings. Just a heads up that this is cash only but they also accept zelle and venmo.

In the mood for Filipino food and Lucky 777 did not disappoint! Love the rotating menu that keeps things moving and lets you try different dishes each time you come. Also a big fan of their staples that are always available like the G Fire wings (little small but tasty) and tocino (cured pork).Service is quick and easy out of a small window with buzzers to let you know when your order is ready. Ambiance is super casual with a moderate about of outdoor seating. Portion is generous and definitely lots of vinegar which is perfect for a hangover. Cash/Venmo/Zelle only. Would come back and hopefully will give their pancit a try.

G Fire wings!! So good! Place your order through that yellow window, pay with cash, cash app, or Venmo. There's an ATM on the right side if you really need cash but come prepared! Street parking and quite a few covered counter seating. Next time I would probably just pick up the wings with some garlic rice to go. The adobo was pretty good, but I think it would be even better next day. We ordered pork tocino but they ran out so we had chicken tocino instead, surprisingly good though. (I prefer longsilog, but they ran out of that so we ended up with adobo).

G fire wings are their specialty. They're good sized fried chicken wings with a semi-sweet sauce. Definitely worth trying. $2.50/piece.
