My wife and I come here for their ham and cheese croissants. We prefer some protein over donuts, but we've tried the donuts too and they're always fresh. Mornings can get busy here, which is understandable. However, with rising prices, we might not visit as often since the croissant feels a bit pricey. The staff use to be more friendly but I think the break ins and crime may have changed the vibe.

Do not go here. The lady was very rude to me and my husband. I came in and ordered a blt with avocado. When we got our food I was excited until I saw there was no avocado. So my husband went back in to check with the lady who took our order. He came back to the car and told me she was very rude, almost mad even that he asked her why there wasn't avocado. And she told him that we didn't order a blt with avocado. That we ordered just a blt. And that in fact they did not have avocado. So when he came back to the car, I went back in to speak with her. She also gave me attitude, and told me I didn't say avocado which I know for a fact I did. And told me there was a difference in price which I also had no problem paying, but just have a better attitude. Especially working with the public/customers. She then charged me for the avocado and remade my sandwich. So I guess they did IN FACT have avocados. Very disappointed. Then the food was less than mediocre to say the least. I normally don't leave reviews like this but because of my bad experience I will not ever be going back. Also the display case where the donuts are HAS FLIES. I should've known not to order from here as soon as I saw it. Blah

Lucky Donuts & Sandwiches has been here for a decade+. Small shop with just a few tables for eating in. I have been going to Lucky Donut, almost every Saturday, for the past 3 years (its my weekly cheat day to go spot). They have fresh bagel sammmmiches, service is always fast & friendly! I recommend for anyone on the go in the morning... definitely advise to call-in before, if in a rush.

Donut shop on MacArthur in the Laurel neighborhood in Oakland. Great selection of fresh donuts, coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Try the chocolate chip chocolate muffin. Yum! All sorts of breakfast sandwich combos on English muffins, croissants or bagels. Definitely a neighborhood hub, with local TV up on the screen. Folks coming in to grab coffee and donut and on their way to groups of older men sipping coffee and holding court. Good food and good prices and friendly staff.

I ordered 3 raised chocolate donuts this morning via DoorDash at around 8am and they gave me 3 normal glazed donuts. Like wtf? How do you not have chocolate raised donuts at 8am? That's pathetic, never ordering from here again.

I've ordered from this place a few times but I won't be ever again the manager is very rude & hung up on me they have a ridiculous list of donuts that I believe is meant to confuse people they should probably trim down the list of items for Grubhub it's too much & confusing & the manager may want to work on his attitude

My GO-TO spot. Some of the best breakfast sandwiches in the area. Everything is freshly baked and made with care. You have a variety of options to get outside of donuts. I don't know why they charge super extra for meat alternatives) The coffee and donuts are pricier than pretty much any other local donut shop you will ever go to. If you get two coffees and two donuts you're easily looking at over $12 depending on the size you get. And the coffee is very hit or miss depending on who's making it as well if you get actual stirrers to make it with.They take Apple Pay as well if you just want some quick food and don't have cash on you. The ambience is great and the people there are very friendly. You can see them going back and forth cranking out fresh goodness. It gives up that nice, authentic, Oakland vibe that I grew up with.
