Los Pericos Market

This place has earned my business in some ways. The free chips are a nice touch--who doesn't love that? They also have a great salsa bar with fresh pico de gallo, and their tacos are loaded with plenty of protein. I've tried several, including the goat taco, which was decent but a little chewy and had tiny bones. Their chicken tacos, especially the pollo and BBQ chicken, are excellent.That said, I'm giving three stars because the staff could be friendlier. Most of the time, they don't seem particularly cheerful or welcoming, and there's often a hint of attitude at the register. If they improved the customer service--being more polite, upbeat, and communicative--it would easily bump up to four stars.Parking can be tight since the lot is small, but overall, it's worth giving this spot a try. The food is solid, and you won't leave disappointed.

This place has gone down hill in recent years.Don't get me wrong, it's a good place for a quick shop but weekly groceries are expensive. Plus, I hate hearing the disgusting things the butchers have to say about the female customers! They say it in Spanish as if they're talking about meat but the sexual innuendos are obvious. If I absolutely don't want to drive to Hayward, I will go here as a last resort but I honestly don't feel comfortable unless my husband goes with me or I send him. It sucks because I love the little old man at the front who gets the tamales or our baskets when we finish shopping. If they fix the issue with the butchers, I might be more inclined to visit more often.

This is our favorite taqueria! We enjoy their tacos de carne asada, and burritos. The papaya and mango smoothies have great flavor without being too sweet. The kids love the pico de gallo.

I can walk to this market from home. The staff makes me feel welcome. The peanuts with lime, chili, and salt is addictive so be careful, the fruit here is good, and the food in the restaurant is great, especially the chicken salad and the burritos. What more can I say? I love it, it's ALWAYS super clean, and I feel my patronage is appreciated. I also enjoy the pride of culture, language, and cuisine it brings to our neighborhood.

1 star because I can't do no stars... I got 3lbs of medium shrimp and 10 mojarras.. they were all spoiled.. stank up my car but I made them anyways hoping they still good... nastiest seafood ever! This place ain't the one for seafood.. tamales are good but damn they did me dirty

If I could give 0 stars I would. The food is absolutely disgusting. I got enchiladas de queso. The tortillas were HARD and the mole de enchiladas was basically canned tomato sauce. Complete waste of money. My mom got a burrito and it was so loose and aguado that it completely fell apart when he unwrapped it. Ugh literally threw my money in the trash. Smh. Never again.

Omg we came for some yummy tacos and I must say wow ! This place is pretty legit ! We got some tacos and burritos ! The tacos are good, slightly dry but they're good. Their Horchatas are not as sweet so it's perfect!

Whoever the cook was on Sunday June 26, about 6 pm, the guy needs to get a raise! I've been going to Los Pericos ever since they opened their first taqueria in Pelton Center. I always get the same thing, super burrito with shredded chicken. I have since discovered Shrimp fajitas. OMG. HUGE portion, lots of shrimp, it's enough for three meals. I've had this before, (last time was a bit bland) but this time the seasonings on the shrimp were awesome.To other reviewers, if you really like the place, why do you only give it 4 stars?

Fresh juice,food made with love.What's not to like? Delicious home made food from people that care.I'll definitely be back for more!

I am very glad to have this convenient market/taqueria in the neighborhood. Not always good for a large grocery run but they have a lot of the basics and nice tacos, nachos, burritos, etc.My only complaint would be the grandpa type figure who always sits by the door. Everyone else is very friendly but he never even smiles whenever I try to say hi. It's just uncomfortable having to see him each time being an unhappy looking grump.
