Los Cerros Mexican Grill

We have been coming to Los Cerros since the beginning. I have been living in Walnut Creek, now San Ramon for a over decade and still make it the place to go to when meeting my parents for dinner. They go there even more often as they live in the area. My dad meets his buddies there on Fridays, and they have become regulars on their own, even coming from Berkeley where they reside. The food is always consistently fresh and delicious. Service is always great. Owner Edwardo is a very welcoming owner, always seems to be interested in all aspects of quality and potential improvement when any can be identified. He never has been compliant. On that note, a critical thing to me is cleanliness, and they always pass me stringent standards. They just recently remodeled the place, and it came out great! A new server there, a young lady, was outstanding in all aspects of service.

The service is always great. Nice little spot to eat at. The food is so good. It's my favorite Mexican place. I come from North Bay to eat here.

A GOOD local Mexican food spot is always necessary! I'll admit that MOST of the dishes I've tried have a more Americanized taste, BUT my go to is the enchiladas verdes WITH CARNITAS! The shredded chicken is good, but the carnitas are always full of flavor and a little crispy the way that I like. Not the biggest fan of the tacos here, just because I'm more of a street taco girl, but the enchiladas never disappoint. I definitely recommend the mango margarita on the rocks and the guacamole is super fresh. I love the neighborhood feel of this place and the friendly staff. The ambiance is very casual with a colorful, home feel. If you're looking for something quick, in the neighborhood, and tasty, this is the spot.

Really good food - husband got red enchiladas and michelada. I only got dessert but the chocolate tres cake was soooo good we went back to order a whole cake for a birthday.

Enchiladas weren't very good. I blame the red sauce. It didn't taste that great and they poured so much of it on, that the entire thing was just swimming and soggy. The rice was also mushy and not well seasoned. The refried beans were normal. Tried to eat as much as I could because I was hungry but threw away half the dish. Had to fill up on chips dipped into the beans.

Always great food and service! I certainly recommend dining there for a wonderful lunch or dinner experience! Try it and I'm sure you'll love it!

We've tried Los Cerros a few times since my review of five years ago, and I'm updating my score because our meals have been consistently good. The atmosphere here is delightful with bright colors and tiles, and when you want a restaurant feel vs fast food, it's a nice spot. Our shrimp tacos today were oh so good, with a nice spice and grilled to perfection. They used catfish for the fish tacos, which is not our favorite as we prefer tilapia or cod, but they were still tasty. Service is always great! Friendly and fast.

Authentic menu. Friendly waitresses and the food was prepared nicely and was served not off the stove. Pleasant background music.

We always come here, at least once or twice a month. We are always happy with our service, and the food quality is always consistent and very good. Everything I've ordered has been good, but recently I've been getting the steak super burrito, wet with green sauce. It's one of the best burritos I've had at any restaurant. The enchiladas Verdes, fajitas, and quesadillas are also good. My husband switches it up, too, but usually goes with a combo that includes a chile relleno. And the flour tortillas are fantastic, my son will gobble them up!

Food is delicious. The staff is friendly and we always have good service. They are very accommodating. Recently renovated the dining area, it looks great. Definitely worth a try.
