Okay - this place has some competition in the area... so for that reason alone - I can't give it a higher rating. I simply can't. Their produce selection is not very good, the quality is questionable. The cabbages were yellow white instead of the standard light green. The fruits seemed to be over ripe or have many imperfections and bruises. HOWEVER. There is some prepared food trays of Banh Cuon that they sell for $10 - and those are a primary reason to pay a visit to this supermarket! Lucky for you if you snag a tray! They are near the cash registers with some other pre-made and prepared foods or drinks! So maybe the market side could be better in terms of fruit and veggie freshness - meats and fishes can be nicer -- but prepackaged goods are fine and the pre-made prepared foods are a plus!

Came here around 11 on Tuesday to pick up a few items for dinner. There is a very small parking lot so do NOT come around noon. There will be no parking at all and there will be longer lines inside as well. I like to come very latest 11am to beat the lunch rush. It's a pretty small store, but it has everything you need for an Asian grocery store, from produce, to snacks, to meat. The prices here are pretty decent as well.

Decent market for your asian grocery needs. I usually like coming here when I don't have the patients to enter into Oakland Chinatown. They have the seasonal grocery promos in the front, which dictates my grocery list :) . Depending on the time of day they might have fresh noodles up at the registers and usually the chinese fried donuts. I kind of wish they would cover them so it's not exposed to all sorts of dust that floats in from the entrance. It's not thee 99 ranch sized market but it has most of the basic needs you need to stock up in your asian pantry. They even sell baby eggplant. There's a small sized parking lot dedicated for customers but it's hell trying to get out. You might get turned off by the neighborhood but I've learned to know the good Oakland spots aren't judged by the outside. It's what's inside the building that matters. Another perk is Bambuu located across the street.

DON'T GO HERE!! Let this be a learning lesson to all my fellow non-Chinese Asians (viet, Cambo, Thai, Laos, etc.) My mom went here to buy crabs. And what she realized was that the seafood guys in the back played her and tried to rip her off! You wonder how.... she noticed the first time one of them checked the weight, it was $60. The guy turned around to "pretend" and dump out extra water, turned back to her and gave her the bag of crabs. My mom then noticed there was a new price label for $80!!! What I'm trying to say is that, the guy wanted to TRICKED her into paying MORE... good thing she asked another person to check the weight of the bag of crabs again! SOO UPSET with this place. PLEASE be AWARE! Always double check the prices!

This is place is UNACCEPTABLE. If you're not Chinese, the employees will follow you, harass you, and blame you for something you didn't do.I came here to buy a box of mangos, but there's a QUARTER-SIZE black mold on it and I asked the staff only ONCE if I can switch that mango for a non-moldy mango, but instead the staff SCREAMED at me and forced me to buy it the way it is. There was no prior conversation, just an immediate attack on me. That same staff also quickly change the price from $2.99 to $3.99 per box in the middle of the afternoon--I don't see why they can't do that before opening. The cashier from inside made me pay for the higher price after she was watching me from the outside. It was unfair that some customers get to pay a different price.I also walked inside to get some bok choy, but a previous customer was tearing it apart... and an employee saw her doing it. After the customer walks away from it, the same staff yelled and pointed fingers at me for damaging their products (they didn't make me pay for it though). What the hell! I didn't even touch it yet!As I was walking around, I noticed I was being watched... so I just buy a few things and left.I already reported this place to the FDB and hopefull they can get a taste with their own medicine.

I went into this market because my aunt wanted to buy some tropical fruits. I saw a pile of the yellow Manilla mangoes and they were all bruised and old. Inside, the market was crowded, dirty and smelled awful! I was afraid to touch anything. I've been in many Asian markets in the Bay Area and many older markets are in this condition, but I guess many of the old time shoppers don't mind..? Not for me though. Especially when they sell turtles and live frogs. Really? Of all the foods we have in America, do we really need to eat these "delicacies"?

I've been going to this supermarket ever since I was young and ever since it was "WIN LONG SUPERMARKET"... I'm not sure when they transferred over but today was my first time back... and I AM SO DISAPPOINTED! first of all, they moved and reorganized their sections FOR THE WORSE. c'mon now! Who the hell decides to put a cash register in between two frozen food aisles?? There customers are mainly middle-aged /old people who probably don't appreciate waiting in line and freezing their ass off! I'm so sad and disappointed that the place I use to be greeted by friendly nice people are now replaced my angry-looking gorillas! never again.
