Food is amazing! Service is excellent & friendly! I love the food! Everything we've tasted has been absolutely delicious. My favorite being gumbo & jambalaya! Hardy portions at a great price! Check them out, you'll keep coming back! Can't wait for the restaurant to open!

They were stationed outside my work, so I figured why not try? The basket was $16, in which they gave me 6 small chicken wings and a side of your choice (which I chose Mac and cheese). The Mac and cheese came out with half of the portion, and the chicken wings were tiny. They also forgot the sauce on the chicken, so I had to walk back and ask for that. Unfortunately, I also had to wait 45 min to an hour for the food. A little bit too expensive for what it is, so I wouldn't recommend.

Waiting... the waiting for food is not worth it. They don't tell you the wait time until after you've paid. The food was ok. Not great. Not shit. Just ok... not worth the wait. I guess I had high expectations since I paid $20 for a Po' boy and Mac. Popeyes and KFC are faster and yummier. I was really hoping to have kinder words.

Highly disappointed. There is a food truck event going on in Hercules and I've been dying for some soul food. The wait was long but that wasn't the issue. The issue is : raw chicken, unseasoned macaroni & cheese, no candy on them yams, super oily fried fish. On top of that we received one of the wrong orders. Missing an entire entree that was replaced with 4 ribs... wtf? We wanted to walk all the way back there to get a refund but we just took the L. Tossed everything in the trash.

Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the Lizetta's wings and the catfish Po'Boy. Hands down, some of the best food I've had.

I just want to point out that this review is about our Wedding Catering experience and the wedding catering experience only, and it was fantastic!Before the Wedding:The vendor selection process was probably the least pleasant part of our whole experience because we experienced the long wait that a lot of other reviewer complained here. Lizettas offered a tasting during one of their off-the-grid hour, but we decided to try their food incognito and get a real-life experience. The wait was, how should I say this, nuts! It was more than an hour wait so that was a big negative for us. However, the food was very good, we weren't impressed by the bland mac & cheese, but the Jambalaya (all our wedding guests loved it later) was great, and the fried chicken crispy, juicy, and and seasoned perfectly.Contracting and communication: They have a catering coordinator who, let me just bluntly say, was not doing her job. Thank god the communication and contracting accelerated and got smoother after we talk directly to the owner, Adriana, because I was already advocating moving on from them. I would say Adriana communicated very clearly and promptly via phone and text (I don't think she check email very often which is fine, but just fyi). The pricing was very appropriate compare to some of those bay area food truck vendors charging at Michelin star prices. Adriana was very flexible and patient with vegan/gluten options and adding items 2 weeks prior to our wedding. She was also truthful on providing extra food than contracted, because I saw some guests (some are not even vegan) kept circling back for more vegan options (we only contracted for 2 portions) during the reception because the vegan jambalaya and vegan fried chicken (oyster mushroom) was amazing! They are also very accommodating on some of our request like bringing backup generator, clean the food truck for photos, and travel to our remote location. Adriana was transparent about the details and pricing on some of those request and they fulfilled everything we asked for.Wedding Day: They arrived a little late, but that was understandable since our wedding was at a pretty remote location along Sonoma coast, not the easiest place to get to. However, they had everything prepared and ready to serve perfectly on time. Also, since their arrival, serving, to wrap up, they required very little instruction and attention, they figured out pretty much everything on their own.Food: This is the brightest highlight of Lizettas! So many wedding guests praised their food and I know they are being honest about the review because I saw a lot of guests packed full plates, circled back for more, and even packed some to go. The fried chicken and friend fish was crispy and juicy as we tasted 6 months before! Jambalaya was amazing and they were not stingy with the shrimp and sausage. Pork Ribs, hmmmm, succulent and tasty! The Bride loved their candied yam! Their vegan fried chicken, I thought it was gonna be some dry fried tofu thing, but no, it was the most delicious fried oyster mushroom. And Yes, I got some even I was never and will ever be a vegan. A lot of our guests praised the food, asked where they run their food trucks, and even asked for contact info.After Wedding: They placed the leftover food at the designated area very neatly. There was descent amount leftover not because the guests didn't like it, but because they really provide extra food! Guess what, they even provided to-go boxes, we didn't even think about that or talked to them during contracting, and a lot of guests packed extra food to go.Conclusion: after this experience I trust them to cater any of my important events, and I hope they fixed the food truck wait time issue (looks like they did based on some of the latest reviews) so I can keep going back for more delicious food!
