Located at 2010 Addison St, to the right of Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse, a small custard shop lives - Lexie's. It specializes in a small menu of classic flavors - chocolate and vanilla along with the flavor of the day - thin mint (on our visit) and a seasonal vegan sorbet - guava. There are seasonal sundae options available, which I partook in. All options are fresh, organic and house made. The flavors can be enjoyed simply in a cup or cone as a scoop or as a specialty item ranging from a concentrate, to sundae option, affogato or shake to a kids classic - dirt & worm sundae, which my daughter enjoyed. Don't forget to ask your little one if they would like a cup or cone. Cones cost and many parents were circling back to pay the difference since their kid saw a kid with a cone - this means another wait in line to do so.For the Kids Dirt & Worm Sundae, my little one picked Thin Mint as her custard flavor, which was layered with crushed/ground cookies and organic gummy worms. For $4.50 it's a yummy indulgence to create memories with. For the Concrete ($9), I opted for the Brownie Sundae which is chocolate custard, house made brownie chunks and chocolate fudge sauce all blended together and topped with whip cream (optional). The flavor was well balanced and the brownie bits were so plentiful I left a few behind to discard. I really enjoyed! The flavors were not too sweet, delectable and tasted of fresh, quality ingredients.Inside, near the register, are options of toffee popcorn, cookies, fruit chews and caramel. There is a mini freezer housing pre packed pints and cookie ice cream sandwiches. The interior was well maintained and clean, it is also very quaint and intimate. It is hard to distinguish between who is waiting on an order and who hasn't ordered - be kind and ask. Service can be slow due to one cashier and one preparer/server, based on the size of the shop it is understandable and the wait was well worth it - not horribly long with 3 families ahead of us. Following a Freight & Salvage performance (directly next door), Lexie's can get packed quickly. The staff was very friendly with smiles and patience, thank yous and assistance with add on options to assist with orders. Apple Pay, cash and cards are accepted. The shop is accessible by BART from the Downtown Berkeley stop, by car with street and garage parking options or by foot if you are close by. Lexie's opens at 1PM Tue-Sat, closed Mondays, and closes between 9-11PM depending on the day.*For those with little ones or little bladders*...there are public restrooms - traditional gender specific - to the left of the shop, open to the public (no key or code needed). The women's restroom was well maintained and clean but lacked toilet seat covers and some stalls have no toilet paper.

Cute mini sundaes are perfect after a show at the Berkeley Rep (and/or Freight & Salvage)! One can get simple, one-flavor cup of frozen custard or make other creations like sundaes. My friend and I got the Speculoos & Peanut butter and Oreo sundae (mini size) each. I thought it was the perfect serving!P.S. they serve real cherries so don't refuse your cherry on top if you thought it was Maraschino like me.

If you're a fan of chocolate desserts, you must go to Lexie's Frozen Custard! My friend and I had to fulfill our chocolate cravings and ordered the regular brownie sundae. The brownies had a rich chocolate flavor, and it paired well with the creamy frozen custard. Portion was also generous-- regular size is definitely enough for two people to share. Overall a great shop to stop by for a solid sundae!

Lexie's is a quick dessert spot in downtown berkeley offering simple yet classic flavors, perfect for a late night dessert. The soft serve is smooth and creamy, and their sundaes are well portioned. I'd argue it's better than YoPo but I still prefer Almare down the street. Overall, a solid spot for ice cream but nothing outstanding.

2010 Addison St Berkeley, CA 94701This was my first time at Lexie's Frozen Custard shop in downtown Berkeley. It was around 9pm on a Tuesday, and I was flipping thru the Yelp app looking for a frozen dessert place that was still open. Wow, Lexie's is open until 10pm! This is a small shop with a neat storefront. It's right next to the Center St parking garage. I was immediately greeted as I walked in. I told them it was my first time there, and they offered me samples if I wanted to try a flavor. They offer scoops, sundaes, shakes, pies, cookies, and pre-packaged goods. Oh well, I played it safe and ordered two scoops of chocolate & vanilla for $7. I should of tried the strawberry and fruity sorbet. They told me all the custards are made onsite in fresh batches. How was it? It's like a creamy soft serve, but not as sweet. It has a somewhat unique silky texture. It's not icy cold like frozen yogurt. If you want a quality frozen dessert, with great customer service, try Lexie's Frozen Custard. BTW, this shop has only been here for about a year. So all the 1-3 star reviews from years ago, don't apply to this place. This is pretty much a grab and go place. There's a few tables outside.Support Local Business!

Headed to this place for a sweet treat after dinner. Delightfully surprised by how much flavor these mini scoops came with. I got the hazelnut custard and my bf got the vanilla with bacon bits maple syrup and waffle cones. I personally liked mine on its own, it came with the nuts and ribbons of Nutella! His was also tasty, a little sweeter for my taste but we were surprised by how tasty the bacon and waffle cone toppings were! Staff was super nice and offered us samples. The shop itself is tiny. You mainly go in and order then take your dessert to eat outside. I only wish the custard wouldn't melt so fast. Yet overall, it's a cute spot to stop for after a show or dinner nearby!

Little ice cream shop in downtown Berkeley that serves soft serve, sundaes, and other cold desserts. We got the speculoos and banana caramel sundaes, and a scoop of the Vietnamese Coffee. Ice cream was delicious and I could tell they make it fresh. The Viet Coffee had a good kick to it, as it should. Servers are nice and welcoming. Parking can be tricky as it is in downtown but there should be a parking garage close by. Or you'll have to park on the street. Overall, would come back here - it seems like they change up their flavors a bit so would like to try other seasonal flavors!

Amazing hidden gem that I can't wait to go back to. Not sure why it took me so long to check this place out but I'm so glad I did. The vanilla is perfection. Smooth and not too sweet. The daily flavor was banana pudding and it was just enough banana to not feel like you're drowning in it. The homemade waffle cone was just the right thickness and crunch. Yum!!

Absolutely love this place! There's tons of flavors for frozen custards and rotations for sundae flavors. I've tried multiple sundaes so far but my favorite is the key lime pie sundae. I love all the handmade curds she uses in the fruit sundaes. They also sell pints. They're a little pricey at $11 but so good. I love the lemon blueberry yogurt and grab that in a pint when it's available . Lexie has been there every time I've come here and she is an absolutely gem! So friendly and you can tell, she takes a lot of pride in her business. It's a cute little shop right off Shattuck on Addison. Parking is a little tricky down in this area, so I usually double park right out front and run inside and am in and out quickly. Definitely one of my go to spots! Thanks, Lexie!
