Levain Bread

Driving through the area looking for something, we stumbled upon this new restaurant and decided to try it. The location is close to the recently built apartments and some homes, making it a walkable destination. Upon entering, we noticed the cleanliness, brightness, and clean lines of the building. We were greeted by a young lady. Choices, choices, choices. We opted for the soup of the day, Chicken Poblano, in a sourdough bread bowl and a Southwest salad. Both were fresh and delicious!!We were so pleased with our selections, my husband went the next day, ordered a pastrami sandwich and was quite pleased. Soup, salad, and sandwich. We were quite pleased and look forward to returning. They also a have a large coffee, tea, breakfast, and pastry selection. Perfect for those that wish to support a local business and not a chain.

On one lazy afternoon, when I didn't feel like cooking lunch, my sister reminded me of Levain Bread, since I told her I was craving a sandwich. She told me that their food is pretty good and not as expensive as Panera Bread, which is always a plus. Since I didn't feel like doing anything, due to being sick, I decided to order my sandwich and my daughter's lunch to be delivered to us.The food is actually really good! I believe I ordered the turkey and cheese sandwich with various vegetables. They add a good amount of lettuce, tomatoes, and whatever else I asked to be added, which reminded me of Togo's sandwiches; however, they don't add as much meat as Togo's. Regardless of the amount of protein that they may or may not add, my sandwich was well-seasoned and quite flavorful. I was very satisfied with my sandwich. My daughter also gobbled up the Mac and cheese that I ordered for her.Since we had delivery, I can't comment on the actual service and ambiance of the establishment; however, we really enjoyed our meals. We will definitely be back in the near future!

First off, I want to say that the people working here are great. Very friendly and helpful, which is why this is two stars instead of one. My gripe with the place is the raw sewage smell as soon as you walk in the door. I've been here a total of four times. The first time was a couple days after they opened and the smell was not there. The second time, there was a very faint smell. Tonight was the fourth time and the smell was so bad, my family and I walked in and immediately walked out because the smell was so bad, I couldn't imagine eating anything coming from a place that smelled like that. The food itself is pretty mediocre. Kind of stingy on the protein. Pricey for what it is. I've been here multiple times because I don't think you can truly judge a place by trying just one thing and I like to give restaurants a chance, but the cons definitely outweigh the pros for this place.

Updated review. My sando was ok. It's what i usually order. However my hubby got the brisket sando. He was super disappointed. Two THIN slices of meat he said he won't be coming back. I might bc it's the only sando shop near me. Also the thick main wrapper with the logo- smells. Like crayons or chemicals. Makes me not wanna eat the sando. So I'd change that wrapper and also add more meat. Also took a while to get the food.

The crave for a sandwich was strong this morning and I was quite interested in the Dutch crunch bread that Levain had to offer. I came in around 0830 on a Monday morning and was the only customer for the morning. The cashier was very friendly since I asked what they'd recommend - it was between the turkey pesto or the bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich. I opted for the BLT with Dutch crunch. I didn't have any expectations but was pleasantly surprised by the sauce that they used. It's similar to an aioli with a kick which is was totally not what I was expecting. The sandwich was good, I probably would try the italian over the BLT. The dining area was large and clean. Parking was easy and there are EV charging a little walk away.

If Lashes is taking or preparing your order it will be a bit awkward. Food's good though.

Ordered through DoorDash, so I can't speak on the customer service or ambiance. I ordered the smoked turkey sandwich with Swiss and on a sweet roll. I opted for no sauce and asked if I could get balsamic which they did provide. The sandwich ingredients tasted fresh and the bread was really good. I feel like the price is fair, but I wish it came with more veggies than just lettuce, tomato and onion. You can add other veggies but each one will cost you. I'd def go back maybe try something new, or stick to what I know is good from today.

first off they don't bake the bread. second off all. they don't make the soup either. third off all the customer service is the lowest of lows. my soup came not at all warm. Rather than just warm it or getting another bowl she chose to argue with me. horrible attitude. save your money. nothing is real here.

Food was excellent!!! Service was amazing, staff greatened as you walk in. The food was amazing! Soft yet crunchy Dutch Crunch bread with smoked turkey is a must try. The murals on the walls are amazing and definitely bring the history of Suisun City to life. The lighting in the restaurant is spectacular making it very spacious and comfortable. To top it off I ended up getting a vanilla latte which I must say is probably one of the best lattes I have had. I will definitely be coming back.

Nice addition to Suisun City. Great alternative to all the fast food places around here. Restaurant is clean, staff friendly. My veggie sandwich was delish and my Santa Fe salad was yummy. And the cookies are to die for! So glad you're in the neighborhood!
