Lee’s Donuts

There are a bunch of Lee's donuts around Oakland and Alameda. I'm not sure if they are related somehow or if they are all complete separate entities, but this particular one located about a block from MacArthur Bart Station is very good. What is very good about it? Two reasons.First and foremost, the donuts are soft like sugary glazed pillows of joy. Unless it's a buttermilk, cake or old fashioned donut which has a firmer exterior but the inside is smooth like butter. Second reason is the hard working family that works here are a joy to be around. The type of people that deserve our business not only during this pandemic but always. They make good food for a reasonable price.

The place is small compared to others, but I love the employee services and I like the food there and tasty and it was worth it to go! I can't say no to this place.

when i want to pick up a box of donuts for work i always come to lee's donuts, the donuts are delicious and fresh and the prices are great. it hasn't ever been too busy when i get there (~630am) so i'm in and out in 5 minutes. i especially love their old fashioned cake donuts :)

I have a tiny place in my heart for this establishment. I've been living in the area for the past 5 years and have to admit that I haven't frequented their business as often as I should.Let me first start off by saying that they offer a large variety of food items. Breakfast sandwiches, shakes, ice cream, extremely large croissants, and of course donuts.I was a little skeptical on the quality of their foods but after giving them a try I am pleased to say it doesn't give me a crash after eating.The staff is super friendly and you can tell that they've established long term relationships with their customers. I heard that the owners of this place have been there for over 20 years.Bonus tipIf they are out of filled donuts, they will kindly fill them for you or provide a side of filling.Please helpSupport local businesses like this!

They need to confirm their opening time. The ad says, 5:30 and it doesn't open until later in the morning. Consistency is wonderful!

Delicious glazed donuts at just the right sweetness level. Fresh and fluffy! Owner is friendly too.

Lee's is boxed in a corner shopping strip. parking's available but too tight. When I was an infant my first spoken word was "Donut".While that may not be true, it communicates that I'm a huge donut lover. I can eat donuts every day, at any time of day. And I have been to many, many donut stores.Lee's Donuts is a donut lover's donut store. These are fresh, cake donuts, ready to be devoured and send you on a sugar rush! There are no frills here, just a good selection of cake donuts. And croissants and coffee. ...and cigarettes and lotto. (and nachos?!).I have to compliment Lee's as well for refusing to serve Chinese food. (One of the gross factors involved with competing donut stores in the area).And the owners are super awesome. Support your local donut store, and make a trip a bit further if you have to. Get your breakie at Lee's Donuts!

I've been going here since I was a kid, I really do recommend. The prices are really good. The food is really really good, I usually get the croissant sandwich. The donuts are also good as well.

During the pandemic I started to try new donut shops. I finally got to this particular Lee's Donuts. Not all Lee's are the same. This one, 5 solid stars. I got a dozen because how else can one truly know? Wow. All of the dozen were amazing. The yeast ones were my favorite. The plain glazed rated as #1 best. Fluffy and light like cotton candy with perfect amount of glaze. My next favorite was the huge yeast dough butterfly shaped donut. It seemed to have a light sprinkling of cinnamon but not exactly as much as a cinnamon roll. Also great buttermilk donuts. I'll definitely be going back soon!
