Ledger's Liquors

I was looking for a gift for Friend who said I need whiskey with a bear on the label. I think the name says something about Republic. Turns out he wanted lost Republic whiskey. Venmo did not have it even though their website said they did. Luckily ledgers liquors had three varieties even though it size is 1/20 of Venmo. the staff was helpful on the phone and very friendly and directed me to what I needed immediately. Highest recommendation.

If they don't have it, it probably doesn't exist. We'll maybe not but the selection is remarkable.

This place has one of the best selections of whiskey I have seen in the East Bay. The service there was amazing, and they were able to answer all my questions and make some great recommendations. As others have mentioned, the store does not look like a lot from the outside, but inside they have packed shelves with everything you could need. I recommend checking it out, and I will definitely be returning again in the future.

Best Spirits store in the Bay! Hands Down

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's a legendary store. I've always encountered friendly staff and an amazing beer selection. They also have indoor bike parking, which I'm very thankful for.

The place to go to get your all your adult beverages! Ed the owner has anything you could want there!

I was looking for a peaty single malt scotch whisky, and got a wonderful education on some famous vs lesser-known names, and imported vs domestic distilleries. Also got great advice on choices in my price range.Also, was looking for arak. Other stores said, "What's that?" At Ledger's they asked what I wanted in an arak.I'm not going to bother shopping anywhere else.

A surprising selection of ingredients not usually available at grocery stores or BevMo. Need velvet falernum for tiki drinks? A chartreuse dupe? Sherries, all types. They'll have it or will order it for you. Chilled bottles, too. They're knowledgeable about ingredients. If it was closer to me, I'd come in more often but I make my trips count.

Ledger's Liquors at University and Acton in Berkeley will have the best selection of Scotch whiskeys west of the Mississippi.What they also have is a selection of exquisite bourbons and ryes. Their libations were warmly received at my 75th birthday party. Their might have been more compliments about the libations than the live music or the catered food. Bravo Ledger's!
