What a fantastic tour by Mashav (the owner and the chef of Le Couloir)! Richmond neighborhood in SF is known for its mix of cultures, but Mashav masterfully uncovers all the hidden secrets and gems - Secrets only someone who lives in this community is familiar with. And she does that through food and hand-picked dishes that you will never uncover without a guide. Even though locations may change per tour, our group tasted a mix of cultures and got some stories behind the dishes, the restaurants, and their owners. Few examples - * Russian cuisine - Herring with a pickled onion on fresh bread* Indian street food - I was surprised how much I enjoyed this vegan street snack - I would have never ordered anything without meat, and I dislike spinach, but the fried spinach snack was mind-blowingly good.* Mexican - Quesadilla with plantain. Again, no meat but it was soooooo good. * Chinese - Glazed Pork and pork-filled bunI won't spoil the surprise for some of the other locations. And more, and more - Total of about 7-8 places. You won't stay hungry, guaranteed. The walk itself is not challenging; there are no hills to overcome, even though it's San Francisco. Don't wait - Just go!

What a wonderful experience! I organized a team dinner to my foodie colleagues and looked for something fun and unique. Usually, when attending cooking workshops, you end up peeling an orange or cutting some potatoes while watching the chef doing all the fun stuff. Well, not here! We got to cook our own food from scratch! From a colorful salad to a black code that melts in your mouth.Mashav prepared the tables for us, came up with a seasonal, fresh menu with easy to make recipes, and guided us for 3 hours, while letting us experiment, make mistakes and just have so much fun! We just couldn't get over the fact that WE COOKED EVERYTHING, and everything was just delicious. Mashav went above and beyond to make us feel great (and full). We left the workshop with all the recipes and wonderful memories from that time we made our own gnocchi. Defiantly the best cooking workshop I've attended. If you are looking for an unforgettable team building event, contact Mashav and let her plan it for you. Thank me later :)

Whoa, this was hands down amazing.Mashav was the chef at the Good People dinner on October 15th. I came unsure of what to expect outside of some awkward networking (I'm not a stronger networker) but left with a stomach full of delicious food and heart filled with good conversation. The night started off with Red Snapper sashimi with a mandarin jelly, pomegranate syrup & quinoa flakes lightly placed in the spoon. There was also a roasted beat with balsamic and mozzarella cheese. The last appetizer was a cream of chestnut and parsnips with a Fuji apple. I genuinely can't even say which one was my favorite because they were all so good. I lean towards the last because it was so unique and I'm not sure I'll ever have that combination again. The main course was served family style and included: beef tenderloin with blue cheese shallots, honey thyme roasted carrots, fennel & herb couscous salad with yogurt, tahini lime sauce and orange segments, and a horseradish potato + celeriac purée. Let's just say that I busted my diet to shizzzzzz eating all of this glorious food. Last up came dessert. I'm so sad I ate so much because I definitely wanted more of the Persimmon pudding (more like a pie) with salted caramel and roasted walnuts.I don't have many pictures as the point of the dinner is to talk with people but I did snap one of the menu and a little of my food. If I could afford to hire her, I absolutely would. She's professional and the food was just fantastic!

My team and I did a workshop with Mashav and it was wonderful. We did the mediterranean cooking workshop with a group of 13. The workshop is BYOB so we were able to bring some wine and beer along. As soon as we got there Mashav greeted us and helped us setup our drinks. We then enjoyed drinks before getting started. We started off with a demo of hummus (P.S. I made this at home and its a terrific recipe). After that we were split into groups of two and made our huge spread of lunch which included salads, chicken all while enjoying the hummus and our drinks. At the end we sat down and enjoyed the delicious meal we cooked and Mashav provided us with some cookies and tea to end it with. Overall a fantastic experience and I highly recommend Le Couloir and Mashav for your next team event!

Mashav is fantastic! We took a 6-person food tour around Richmond, and had a blast. It's a great group activity, and Mashav took us to TEN SPOTS where we had samples of delicious food. Mashav is very knowledgeable in everything that has to do with the food scene in Richmond, and her taste is impeccable. Meshav, thank you for a great morning in San Francisco!

I've been to many food tours around the globe. Not a single one was similar to this one.Firstly, the tour is done by a chef! trained in Paris! This is not some tour guide that is paid to take people on tours with food..This is a person passionate about food, and the locations chosen reflect that perfectly.Without spoiling too much, this tour includes unusual locations like local shops that she uses to find unique ingredients for her dishes as a chef. The tour just oozes charm..For example, you can look away for one second and suddenly Mashav pulls a table out of nowhere and you have a small delightful taste of a unique dish in the middle of the street. It seems like she is home at that neighborhood... and she is kind enough to show you her house as a valued guest or a close friend, all accompanied with a marvelous smile and a very sharp and witty intellect!Go, you won't regret.
