Lady fingers around the outside and I think between the layers. And the whipped cream is heavenly!

I failed to write a review for the Carrot Cake that we orders at Christmas. 1/4-sheet of deliciousness that was enjoyed by many! And because of nut allergies, I also had Phoebe make a few carrot Cake minis without nuts to make sure everyone could have the experience.Recently it was my friends mom's 90th birthday. I asked Phoebe for a Chinese style cake with Whipped Cream instead of Buttercream and fruit. I also asked her to write something in Chinese on top. She had me order a Mixed Fruit & Cream 1/4-sheet for 15 guests. Ringed with Ladyfingers all the way around, this cake was magnificent! Not super sweet, subtlety sweet, whipped cream was definitely NOT from a can, lots of fruit and mom was able to read and understand what Phoebe had written. Nothing positive comments on the appearance and taste.Thank you Phoebe and the team at Ladyfingers!

I had ordered a cake for my baby shower this past Saturday but was unhappy with what I got. I ordered over the phone and it was very easy, sent them a picture of what I wanted and the writing I wanted on there. However, when the cake arrived to me (I had a family member pick it up) I noticed the cake was incomplete (didn't have the writing I had asked for) and it had a big crack on the side. When I called to let them know I was told that it was incomplete (I had the pickup time at 2pm but was picked up around 3:30pm due to an address mix up). I was given decorations to "help" cover the crack and was given cookies for the writing that I had asked for. I loved ordering from them but will not order again.

Local gem bakery since 1979. First time inside and owned by a very nice Asian woman. Ordered my daughter's preschool graduation red velvet cake and just picked it up. She was nice enough to give us a cake server and candle. Can't wait to taste it. Thank you! We live locally and will be back.

They have 2 locations, I went went to Oakland. Walked through a small glass door and immediately saw the display of variety of cookies and cakes. It looked like the strawberry cake would be their popular item. But I wasn't ready to take home a cake, so I selected 3 small items to try. Pecan pie - it was average but I like how it wasn't overly sweet Almond sandwich cookies - deliciousLemon cream cookies - the crust was too thick but I like the lemon wasn't too tart

Last minute ordered a birthday red velvet cake they had an 6-8 inch $40. Pricier side but it was good. Charged extra $1 for writing and extra $1 for sprinkle. Will order again.

Unassuming little bakery on an extremely busy street, at the intersection of Oakland Avenue and Santa Clara. They don't have a huge selection, some cakes with ladyfingers, carrot cakes, some cookies - but it's a great option in a pinch when you need sweet treats to bring to a dinner party.

I absolutely LOVE their lady fingers, strawberry, and whipped cream cakes! I've had them for years. I most recently ordered a 3/4 sheet cake for my 80th birthday party. It was larger than I needed, but even as left overs it is delicious!I'd like to try their black bottom bake, and some of their small items, but it is named Lady Fingers for a good reason so I come back again and again for their Lady Fingers strawberry cakes.

The carrot cake (comes as both cake form, and as cupcakes) are absolutely delicious. Moist with recognizable bits of carrots and coconut, and an amazing cream cheese frosting.Their black bottom cakes (again available in round cake, sheet cake, as well as 2 sizes of cupcakes are probably the best anywhere. Extremely rich, moist and that cream cheese frosting is perfect. You can taste cream cheese, it's not too sweet, and very very rich. We've also gotten raves from guests about their tiramisu cake--I'd like to speak to it, but by the time I try to cut myself a slice the cake is eaten and gone! The buttercream frosting on their more traditional cakes stands out as well. Our family dislikes 'American' buttercream which tends to be just butter and sugar whipped together, grainy, too sweet and just meh. Safeway cakes have that awful American buttercream so we avoid those. All the buttercream at Ladyfingers is either French or Swiss merengue--and so it taste noticeably better at room temp, so would advice letting you cakes (or cupcakes) warm up to room temp by giving them at least 20 min outside the refrigerated case before serving.
