La Strada

Incredibly amazing! I absolutely love this restaurant! Stopped by after reading a couple reviews. I figured why not, I'm so happy I did too. Everything was wonderful from the time I walked through the door. Greeting, seating, ambiance, decorum, and waiting service -all was spot on! All of that in place before we even get to the food. I went with the Chicken Masala! Everything was perfectly cooked seasoned and presented. Chefs Kiss! ‍ ‍ ‍ I went with the Tiramisu, do I even have to say... yup, it was pour delite in every bite! This place is amazing and it is my new favorite restaurant in the Bay Area! Bravo and thank you to the entire team of Professional at La Strada!!!

I really dislike leaving bad reviews, but my experience here was truly disappointing.1. Customer ServiceI made a reservation over the phone and was informed there might be a slight wait, that we might end up being seated between 8-8:30pm but that complimentary champagne would be provided. Our reservation was at 8:00 PM, yet we ended up waiting over an hour to be seated--without any champagne in sight.2. The Food & Wait TimeThe service was painfully slow. After finally ordering, it took another 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Unfortunately, the quality didn't make up for the wait. * The garlic fries were cold and dense in the middle--clearly frozen. * The garlic bread was burnt. * The stuffed pork chop was underwhelming. * To make matters worse, my husband's pork chop plate was served a full 25 minutes before mine, so he had to start eating without me.3. No Dessert, No PatienceBy the time we finished our entrées, it was already 10:30 PM. We decided to skip dessert because we didn't want to endure another long wait.4. Cleanliness IssuesTo top it all off, two out of the four forks at our table had food residue on them.Overall, this was an incredibly disappointing experience. I expected much better, and unfortunately, I won't be returning. I give this review two stars because the drinks were ok, we had some wine and beer.

Ambiance: 4 starsService: 4 starsFood: 2 - 3 starsI'll get right to the point and start with the food which was a bid disappointment overall. Overall, everything was very bland. The best part of the meal was the complementary bread and oil dip which we really enjoyed.Bread basket and seasoned oil: 5 starsCaprese salad: 2 stars - 4 slices of tomato, 3 and quarter slices of mozzarella and one basil leaf in between. The salad came with a few drops of balsamic, no olive oil, or salt but they did put some chopped lettuce under the tomato. It had to be the works caprese we've ever had. When the pasta dishes came out we both looked at each other, and my partner asked: "Who ate the rest of it?" I had to laugh because I was thinking the same thing. There were six overcooked prawns (rubbery) in each dish but the pasta was a child's portion. Fettuccini Alfredo with Prawns: 2.5 stars - Flavorless!! the alfredo sauce was so blans that we had to douse it with salt and pepper to extract any flavorLinguini Gamberetti with Prawn: 2.5 stars - I asked to a spicy version. They delivered on the spice but again it needed salt and seasonings. If we return, we will avoid the pasta dishes and caprese (unless they improve their recipes or retrain their line cooks).The restaurant setting and ambiance is old school Italian stereotype: wood window shutters, painted brick walls, old Italian paintings, fake grape vines on the walls kind of thing. It's got a family vibe.

I hadn't been to La Strafa in a long time, but it was amazing! The staff were friendly, the food was excellent, & the place was comfortable: not loud or crowded. I had the beet salad & crab ravioli. Delicious!! I'd order both again. They were that good! I accidentally forgot my leftover box & circled back to see if it was still there & the waitress had put it by the front podium for me (just in case I came back!) sweet! We will definitely be coming back more often.

Jose!!!!!! He is the best! Love his energy and attention he gave to everyone. We had the pleasure to have him serve us again with our return coming back to La Strada. Super loved the Christmas vibes of the place. Excellent food delivered to our table. Everyone enjoyed the food and Jose made us feel so welcomed. Thank you Jose!!! You made our dinner for our dad's birthday wonderful!

Fast seating. Excellent service. Delicious meal. I chose the Veal LaStrada. Excellent flavor and amount. The vegetables were perfect. My husband had the Gnocci with meatballs and took home the leftovers, there was so much. Great food and atmosphere.

I've been here in the past for a couple of events (Christmas party & Retirement party) but this time it was just four of us for dinner on a Thursday. We were greeted warmly when we walked in, only waited a minute the table to be ready. Our server told us the specials for the day & gave us a minute to decide.Drinks: San Francisco Sunset & Blue Moon beerAppetizers: Pizza Margherita & BruschettaEntrees: Crab Louie (shared by 2), Lasagna de carne, Linguine w/clams & musselsEverything arrived piping hot and delicious. For the linguine that I ordered, I think next time I would just request for clams only, the mussels had a slight grittiness & "ocean taste" more than my liking (if that makes any sense. LOL)Everyone was very attentive, glasses of water refilled quickly, checked on us to make sure we were doing well. Great spot!

Nothing like an old fashioned Italian restaurant that matches quality meals and service. We came here for a family Christmas Eve dinner and thoroughly enjoyed our quality time with family. We opened bottles of wine ate until we squeezed some dessert and took a few table side pictures. Nothing like a Christmas Eve tradition before the New Year.

Poor service- reservation was at 8, but by the time they served us it was 9:30! Plus, we were seated before a guest beside us but they were served first. Waiter was rough around the edges, made us feel rushed... kinda like herding cattle. Not coming back. Food was so-so, ciapino was not fresh, tasted old.

Place is dusty table was wobbly fake candles red drapes They brought bread and oil first just some oil and spongy breadPlace was empty but it took them forever to get us drinks then they kept asking if we wanted to finish our wines for another glass we waited long time for food I think they tried getting us to drink more Our pasta was cold came back tasting microwaved after we had mentioned that our treatment went from below average to non existent
