La Plazuela

This is a cute little spot, idk why it was so quiet on a Friday night. I stopped in for a drink and it did not disappoint. I had a pina colada and it was delicious and didn't taste boozey, even though I felt it when I stood up lol.

Food: 3/5I tried the chicken quesadilla from the appetizer menu which comes with a small salad on the side which was refreshing. Overall, I enjoyed the fact that the quesadilla was crispy/toasted well, but the chicken itself did not have much flavor. The margaritas are quite tasty, not too sweet.Service: 4/5The waitress was friendly and helpful. Ambiance: 4/5The restaurant midday was not too packed, and I found the pink exterior of the building quite pleasing (also easy to spot). I was looking forward to playing pool, but the waitress informed it was not working.

They have no idea what a Caldo de Res is!!!, Food is not authentic, lack of flavor and some weird veggies in it like Yucca, this is call a Mexican restaurant!! The meat was hard to find...Worst Caldo the res ever!!! I don't know about the other food but I can imagine how it taste!!

My friend and I decided to try this place out after work, and it was one of the few places open after 10pm. Of our options, this one had the highest reviews so we gave it a chance. The inside of the restaurant was okay. The ordering process was stupid. I ordered a vegetarian burrito (in English) and my friend asked them about the type of beef they offered (in Spanish). The woman didn't know so she asked the cook behind her, then I guess they asked him about chicken...? For the two burritos, my friend paid with $40 and the change didn't make sense. It turns out that she charged us $28 for two burritos because she thought I ordered a shrimp burrito. When we corrected her, she couldn't recalculate the new change so we had to return the change for her to calculate the new change. The food was cold and bland. It had avocados in it even though he had specially requested not to have any. Blegh.

This is an odd spot. Half of the building is a bar, and half is a restaurant. They are pretty much open to each other, so you will definitely hear the LOUD music from the bar. The music from the bar is so loud you can successfully Shazam it while sitting in the restaurant.The food is very good. The menu is not huge, but there is good variety. The ceviche is excellent, the guacamole is fresh and chunky, and the chilaquiles are flavorful. This place will definitely satisfy your Mexican food craving.

I love this place! It's our go to Mexican food restaurant in the neighborhood. They have delicious food and blended margaritas!They have a full bar and pool table if you don't feel like eating. And a small cozy restaurant good atmosphere.

It's a bar -- it's a cafe. Plastic/wood restaurant tables/chairs, just like in the old country. This is THE spot for yummy caldo de res or gorditas or ... whatever your fave *real* Mexican food is! My pal RAVES about the caldo de camaron, too! We met friends there, and since they had margaritas, we ordered them too. My favorite menu item -- gorditas, hands down. Oh, yeah, did I mention -- somtimes the rancheras are playing really loud on the juke box! Go on a day you're in the mood for music, just in case! This is my favorite local place for margaritas. The food is very good also. I've been a semi regular customer for years and I will continue to return.

The wet burrito i had was really good, mellow environment. Highly recommended for mexican food in town.

This place has great food. The ladies in here are very pleasant. Chicken Enchiladas are good, my favorite!!!
