La Note is one of my favorite brunch spots and always the first place I suggest to friends visiting or where to go on any given day where one is craving some good brunch! This classic Berkeley establishment serves consistently delicious food, from the fluffy scrambled eggs, to the decadent and beautifully plated pancakes, you really can't go wrong with their whole menu! Two of my favorite things to order from the breakfast menu are the Cote Nord or the Cote Est, where you kinda get a little bit of everything. For lunch I love the ham & Gruyère baguette or the ratatouille. Can't forget about their glorious lattes too. The dining room inside gives a classic, French feel and their back patio is so beautiful and inviting, especially on a sunny day.

food?* cote est (4.6/5): eggs were yummy and soft, but just normal. the pancake (I chose creme fraiche) was good with the syrup, and on the thicker side. the potatoes were very crispy and well-seasoned.* les oeufs maison: with chicken apple sausage! my friend seemed to enjoy it!vibes?so so pretty! gives cottage core vibes, with vibrant discussions and a sunny outdoor patio. we sat outside, and it was the best lighting for pictures.come back?yes! I would love to try their bread next time.

This was really cozy place. With quite a few tables indoor. We here for brunch on a weekend , and as a table of two we were seated pretty quickly. As vegetarians we tried the following :Ratatouille: 3/5. This was simple and decent.Pancakes : 3/5. These were just okay. They seemed to be a little floury. Freshly squeezed orange juice: 4/5.Overall , the food was okay. But service was good.

Berkeley classic! I love bringing any visitors to the Bay Area to this quaint brunch spot. Service is always super friendly but be warned that there is always a wait. I got the Cote Nord - the levain toast was great and the eggs were deliciously creamy with the knobs of cream cheese. The tomatoes were also good, but definitely cold compared to the other parts of the dish. Due to the egg shortage, there is a .50 surcharge per egg, so take that into account. I also love their pancake dishes (particularly the blueberry one!)

La Note is always a winner in my book!! Excellent food and service. Can't go wrong with the Cote Nord with a side of sausage and we ALWAYS share the Brioche Pain Per Du French toast!! Still my happy place, even with the $.50 surcharge per egg!

The minute you walk in the door, you feel like you have walked into a lovely French cafe. The warm feel of the space, the music, and the welcoming staff take you away from the outside world. The food was wonderful, and they even have gluten-free toast!

This is a classic brunch place in Berkeley, the interior is really cute and cozy and they have a lot of great options. We really love their cinnamon pear pancakes as it is a unique flavor. Expect a wait on the weekends as it gets quite busy.

We were seated immediately and the food came out pretty quick. Absolutely loved everything. It was so yummy. I didn't even know they had a backyard area but highly recommend to check it out. They do have space heaters in the back too. Ambience is great perfect for hanging out or a date. I recommend getting their spicy sausage. It's so yummy. The eggs were also cooked perfectly House potatoes very well seasoned too. I also tried a mimosa, which was the perfect mix of champagne and juice. I tried the raspberry one very late and very yummy.

What a cute place.Very busy on a Sunday morning. But very kind and friendly host. Besides the busy part it has inside and outside sitting.Everyone is very friendly and seems happy to be there.. which is difficult to see now days. Our waiter was a fall gentleman and was so nice and patient with us ordering. We first order our drinks and he came back super nice to give them to us. Then we order our food and I asked for the spicy sausage (not spicy, I was bummed about that) There are two restrooms inside, very clean!! But very busy but very clean!! everything else was great! The coffee late was on point! Great service and very well kept clean and neat! Thank you for a great experience!

I asked the waitress Justus her favorite plate which she said she eats several times a week for past few years and brought over the one with eggs mixed with goat cheese and chives/oven-roasted tomatoes (AMAZING)/and sourdough bread with side of butter. It was something I'd def get again. For drinks I got hot chocolate with whip cream. I added more of the sugar cubes on the table to the hot chocolate as I like it more sweet. I also ordered OJ. OJ was good but not something that left an impression given it was fresh squeezed.Arrived at 9:30am and sat in outside patio. Love the nature aspect where felt like I was eating in someone's backyard so very nice ambiance. It's a good place to go with family where I feel most people will be satisfied with their plate.
