La Guerita Taqueria

Got the sopes and they were delicious! Food portion is huge! My husband got the birria plate and he felt like they gave home the whole pot! Service is amazing. This is definitely a hidden gem!

We ordered chicken fajitas, green salsa wet burrito w/carnitas, steak fries, and green enchiladas.All plates were bland. It's unfortunately not authentic. The fajitas looked like they cut random slabs of meat and threw it in the plate. The enchiladas were extremely tiny. The only plate that had some flavor was the steak fries and that's after we drenched it with salsa. Won't be returning. :(

I was excited to go to this local place. I was really disappointed with the food. Al pastor tasted bland and had canned pineapple pieces, torta Cubana was flavorless and tasted like a cheap ham sandwich with hot dogs. The salsas were horrible! Tasted like watered down cholula. Food needs to improve if they want to keep up with places like El Trompudo on SPDR.

If you're in the Hilltop area, support this newly opened, local restaurant. Incredibly friendly staff and good eats. Also LOVED the quick service!I have only been here once and ordered one item. But I'm ready for more in the future. Had a great super carne asada wet burrito. The super comes w/ choice of meat, rice, beans, cheese and sour cream. They also asked upfront (which I really appreciated) if I'd like hot or mild salsa inside the burrito. Had to throw a little California flare by adding guacamole inside the burrito. But to live a little topped off the burrito w/ red enchilada sauce. The burrito was very tasty and loved how the portions were evenly spread out XOXO. Unlike sometimes where you have one big glob of sour cream or guacamole in only one place.There is an inside dining area or the option for takeout. The restaurant is super convenient located right off the Hilltop exit w/ plenty of parking.

The service was good. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. The staff was friendly. Except for a couple of minor misses, the food was good. We ordered:- Tacos de asada (steak) con todo. They were not bad but nothing exciting- Tacos de buche (pig stomach). buche is one of our favorites but here it was too salty. I don't know if I'd get it again. - Tacos de lengua (tongue). Another of our favorite. It wasn't bad.- Tacos al pastor. Al pastor is one of our favorite preparations. We typically judge a place by their al pastor and here it was DELICIOUS!!The two of us initially had four tacos each but the tacos were small (street tacos) so we went back for a second order. We shared a torta de milanesa and got two more tacos al pastor each. The torta was on the smaller side but is was tasty. The bread to meat ratio was good and they come with fresh avocado slices (like gold these days). The tacos and torta are served with a mix of lightly cooked (not quite pickled) cabbage, carrot and cauliflower, a grilled Serrano pepper and some radishes.The salsas here are good but what would really push this taqueria into 5 star territory is if they had a salsa bar, offered chips, toasted the torta bread, and adjusted the seasoning on their meats, especially the buche. I hope they don't mess with the al pastor though. It was perfect.

My friend had big back energy. She suggested we come here because they have really good birria. I decided to get the pozole and 4 street tacos. (Portions were a lot bigger than I anticipated!!) Sisters got the quesbirria and I took a bite of everything. LolI'm not expert but the pozole was amazing. The spice was perfect, lots of meat inside. It was also tender and fall apart in your mouth. They had soft tortilla to serve with, I'm use to eating it with hard shell tortilla chips but it was still good overall. My sister birria consume reminded me of pozole but without the meat inside. Very spicy and rich.Definitely recommended, cashier was also very friendly.

Delicious! Al pastor on the mark! Nice flavors and texture. Not sure if they have a trompo but it was good!!We also had shredded chicken tacos. All delicious. I am lucky to live fairly close by. Kind peeps and clean.

Half Mexican, lived in SoCal for 13 years... had it all while living down there. Ordered an asada taco and grilled chicken super burrito.The taco was good and fresh, and the additional pickled lettuce and veggies were a great touch! The red sauce was so good to add on to it again. Would totally order again.The burrito was very tasty, I asked the cashier what meat to choose and he said the grilled chicken. It was perfectly cooked with that authentic grilled flavor... I couldn't help but do my happy dance while eating this thing! Hands down would order it again.Staff was helpful and I hope these guys stick around! So happy to have La Guerita in the neighborhood!

I ordered a super shrimp burrito to go and wasn't disappointed. It had rice, black beans, salsa, sour cream and cheese. There was enough food there for one with a hearty appetite. This definitely will fill you up. It wasn't cheap costing $. 18.65 but in this new economy this is here to stay. It's worth ordering again, I had it with mild salsa I added on. It's nice to see businesses in this little strip mall location. It had been pretty vacant for too long.

We ordered 4 meals; shrimp and pastor nachos, 2 shrimp burritos and 1 steak fajita. Everything tasted great and fresh. The inside of the restaurant is cutely decorated and clean. The cashier was sweet and fast. Give this place a try!
