Okay, like many, I was disappointed when Manpuku closed (long time fan) - but let me tell you, this place is SO GOOD! I am actually embarrassed that I stop in so often! If I have a night to myself, you can find me eating Tteokbokki and a sushi roll. My husband had the bulgogi Kimbap last night and loved it. The owners are very sweet and the service is always great. I love that they have a combination of Korean dishes and also sushi. If you haven't checked it out yet, this is your sign to grab lunch or dinner today. You won't be disappointed!

Korner's Roll & Bowl opened where Manpuku was. Inside dining only. Though Japanese food is listed, the Korean version is served. Ordered when served. Food came in 10ish minutes. Decor slight.Offerings (Korean): appetizers & sides, desserts, mains (katsu, teriyaki, bibimbap), kimbap, lunch specials, rice bowls, drinks, noodle bowls, drinks.Bites: lunch specials-beef bulgogi (18)-2 piece gyoza: small, crunchy dumplings with tender fillings. Tastes freshly made-1/2 classic kimbap with fresh fillings of burdock, carrots, ham, imitation crab, cucumber, egg, pickled radish. Different flavas layered & distinct. Deliz..-tasty mixed green salad with "orange zest?" dressing, orange sections-beef bulgogi tender juicy slices with sesame oil & other flavas. Generous portion.-small udon noodle soup in soy broth garnished with green onions & fish cake pieces. Yummy!4.5 stars lunch specials worthy. Good choice to experience many aspects of Korean cuisine. Fresh!

Husband and I ordered takeout - two rolls of kimbap & kimchi fried rice. Everything was yummy! The korner's special kimbap was HUGE and each piece is packed with ingredients. Kimchi fried rice was pretty good, quite spicy, slightly mushy. We enjoyed the food & looking forward to trying more :)

YAY finally a Korean restaurant near work. One of my coworkers had brought me some of the spicy pork when they first opened and I was excited to finally make it there for takeout. Place is located in the Safeway parking lot. I was taking my food to go, and it appears that you ordered from the counter and then take a seat. Place is a small family run restaurant with friendly yet reserved folks. The complementary udon soup was simple yet surprisingly good with a broth that tasted like miso soup. I ate my spicy pork with the noodles.When I first had the spicy pork, it had a nice spice to it today it wasn't spicy at all, i'm glad I had asked for some hot sauce, which turned out to be Chinese chili paste. Previously, I haven't been the biggest fan of Bimpap but this bimpap was very good. Lots of crunchy vegetables and a piece of ham along with imitation crab. Salad is spring mix with an orange dressing and the bite sized gyoza seemed homemade. I could've easily eaten half a dozen, make that a dozen! For the lunch specials you get a lot of variety, portion size is on the smaller side and I easily polished off the entire lunch. They're still offering the 10% off opening special. With the discount, the spicy pork lunch came out to $17.

This restaurant replaces Manpuku, an old favorite of our family from the time we lived nearby a decade ago. I visited with our daughters a few weeks ago while their mom was on a work trip, and they were both quite upset that their favorite "cheep cheep noodle" restaurant was no more (the owners, who treated us like family, retired and moved). We decided to stay and give the new place a chance. We ordered udon bowls, kimbop and a couple of appetizers. The food was good and I enjoyed it, especially the fish cake that was served with my kimchi udon bowl. But the girls were not in a good mood and picked at their plates. We didn't linger long. Bill was about $70. Service was efficient but business-like. Likely won't be back with family.

Good food and service. A friend and I went there on the way home. Soup was good. My friend's "bento" was filled with vegetarian choices and a couple of tastes were very good. I will try it again to sample more.

I was looking for a lunch spot with my toddler and was surprised to see a new restaurant had replaced Manpuku. The menu looked interesting so we visited on a weekday during lunch. Our server was very sweet and friendly with us. She was very accommodating and helpful as she saw me by myself with my toddler. I ordered the fried chicken lunch special and the beef bulgogi lunch special. Our server was kind enough to cut up the bulgogi some more for my toddler. The lunch specials were a great way to sample the menu. Everything tasted delicious. There were a couple of other customers when we entered but the place was completely full by the time we left. I believe there were 7-8 tables inside. Some people came by for to go orders as well. This new restaurant is a great addition to Livermore and seems like it'll be a popular lunch spot. Looking forward to trying more of the menu next time.

Been keeping an eye out on this restaurant since I've seen the family late nights setting the restaurant up themselves this year.Happy to say the dedication to open their restaurant translates to their food. Ordered their fried chicken with rice meal. And it was perfect. Can't wait to try the other dishes.

Everything was delicious, especially the hotteok! The kimbap was very fresh and tasty too!
