The food was pretty good in my opinion, but with highlights :- Truffle Shrimp/Scallop Dumplings - very juicy and flavorful (but one scallop per dumpling)- Taro Puff Shrimp - jumbo shrimp, very good- Crab Claw Shrimp - juicy and flavorful, shrimp and crab were tasty- 6 Color XLB - beautifully presented and delicious - Mango fried milk - jumbo sized with a good hint of mango flavor.- Brown Sugar Mala Sponge Cake - not too sweet, approved by my middle aged mom :)Some things that let me down:- surf clam congee - didn't come with a full plate of yau tiew but only a few pieces. surf clam was a bit tough and hard to chew but not the end of the world- Beef Siu Mai - tasty but it's like a beef ball in dumpling skinambiance: very lively, not too noisy, able to have a nice conversation. Decoration was lovely, with the Koi fish dancing on the TV.Service: extremely attentive and thorough. Offered and check in on tea levels, very warm and receptive. Best part is not intrusive, but professional.

Dublin has seen a surge of new and delicious Chinese restaurants, but with increasing competition, it's unfortunate to see some of my favorite spots disappear. KOI Place Restaurant hasn't been around for too long, but a few years ago, this location was home to a Japanese sushi buffet. Now, it's competing with the wave of new eateries in the area.Fortunately, KOI's dim sum is flavorful and remains popular among customers. While they don't serve dim sum from traditional carts, the menu is well-organized with detailed descriptions and photos, making it easy for first-time visitors to order.Their Xiaolongbao (Shanghai Soup Dumplings) lean slightly on the sweeter side but are still quite tasty. The restaurant is clean, including the restrooms, and the service is attentive.Be prepared to wait on weekends, as the place tends to get busy. Definitely worth a visit for dim sum lovers!

Koi Palace Dim Sum offers a great overall dining experience with plenty of space and excellent service. One of the highlights is the ample parking, which makes it convenient to visit, especially on busy days. The restaurant itself is spacious and well-designed, ensuring a comfortable atmosphere. When it comes to the food, the dim sum is definitely on the higher end in terms of quality. The siu mai is a standout--tender, flavorful, and filled with a perfect mix of pork and shrimp, making it a must-try. The shrimp rolls are also a favorite, with crispy, golden wrappers and a generous portion of plump shrimp inside. That said, the prices are a bit on the steeper side, so be prepared to pay more than you might at other dim sum spots. While the food is delicious, the cost may be a factor for some.Overall, if you're in the mood for a more upscale dim sum experience with great service and ample seating, Koi Palace is definitely worth a visit. Just be ready for a bit of a splurge!

They have a new tea situation that prevents over-seeping. Yay!! Note that many of the low reviews here are for koi palace EXPRESS which is not the same!!Others give low stars for the 18% tip? Come on. They are working hard Still great shrimp dishes, sweet tofu FAVORITE, baked pork buns Try them!!

Excellent as always. Prompt service, your teapot will never be empty or cold. Food always comes to the table piping hot. People who come to Koi Palace and give it bad reviews are ones who have never had good dim sum in their lives. I have been to tons of dim sum places across the bay, plus been to several in China, and koi palace is great.

Service was quick.Quality of food was ro notched.Ambiance is classy, comfortable, "fine" dining style (comparing to casual Chinese food).I especially like the Taro Pot: very tasty and there was meat and other ingredients as well. Will order again.

3.5 stars. Koi Palace is located in Dublin Ulferts Center Plaza on the second floor. There is a parking lot available with fair amount of spaces, but can be challenging at times during peak hours. This is also true for wait times, particularly in the morning and early afternoon on weekends; reservations are best for large parties if you do not want to wait.Overall, their dim sum is pretty solid and food has been fairly consistent over the years. Service is quick, but the quality of service can be a hit or miss. Lastly, pricing is on the higher end for dim sum, especially with the automatic 18% service charge.

My friends loves this place, but I thought it was just OKTheir food items were just mid so what can I sayAlright, just to be fair, true Chinese folks might love this placeSo don't throw pie in my faceThey did have a lot of space and the place was definitely BUSYSo don't look at my review and go into a tizzySo this place ain't my taste. But I know that's just a preference thing. We got the Shu mai, rice noodle BBQ pork (which was actually not bad), congee, spinach, and sticky rice. However, most of the items were just mid to me. Again, my Chinese friends gives this place a 5-star rating, so I know that it's just probably me, so don't take my word for it.

Koi palace is one of the very few go to dimsum spots in the tri-valley and east bay. It's always a gem to be able to eat here with family. Food is delicious but little pricey. Service is quick and they have plenty of tables and rooms since they take up half of the second floor of the plaza center. There's also plenty of parking around the plaza if you don't mind parking behind the Ulfert Center. Overall recommend if you want to go to a nice dimsum spot once in a while
