Chicken and waffles, very good. Waffles so sweet, syrup was unnecessary.
Mascarpone Stuffed Deep Fried French Toast the outside was more crunchy than expected. Was a bit tough to chew.

Delish. Highly recommend everything I ordered. Especially the Benedict. That Millionaire bacon is something else and I would've ordered just a side of all that. Iced Cinnamon Latte literally tastes like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. So damn good. Service is quick and food came out quickly. So much outdoor seating but indoor is pretty cool too. They have a full bar. Make reservations for brunch, gets really busy. Would return here in a heartbeat!

This was a fun spot to meet an old friend. It was a beautiful but cold winter morning, so they left the doors open. Despite a reservation, they seated us at a tiny two-top smack in the middle of the restaurant, where both the servers and us had to keep our jackets on to stay warm. Service was excellent, and if you appreciate delicious brewed coffee over coffee "drinks," you will appreciate the effort. The food is original and spectacularly presented, not so easy to do with breakfast eats, although I'm not sure I understand the excitement over the millionaire bacon. Definitely a do-again for a warmer day

The vibes here are so cute!! They have both upstairs and downstairs seating, and the food does take a bit to come out. The servers are incredibly friendly! Liked the tornado galbi omurice and how pretty it was, but could've been more salted/seasoned. Egg was perfectly runny tho. The kfc with waffles has the juiciest chicken ever, but also lacked flavor. Rating this high mostly for the aesthetic!

I am always amazed all the different flavors that are packed in their myriad of dishes. It's worth the drive to Oakland to experience a great brunch.

Went around 2pm on a Saturday and got seated right away! We also got moved to a booth a couple minutes after already sitting, which we appreciated. For drinks, we had a caramel macchiato, a green tea latte, and an espresso martini. To eat, we tried the Franciscan Scramble w/ Millionaire Bacon, Mascarpone Stuffed Deep Fried French Toast, and Jjapaguri. The flavors and portions for everything was great, and ended up taking leftovers home. The only thing was that we did wait a while to get our order taken, but we kind of expected that for the weekend. Overall, an 8/10!

One of our favorite brunch spots in the East Bay! There's always a wait, so make a reservation on Yelp. Been here three times now, and our favorites are their millionaires bacon and Korean FC & Waffles. Restaurant is cozy and staff are always attentive. We love taking our friends/guests to Kitchen Story!

Was in the mood for a new breakfast spot and yelped away. Kitchen Story Oakland is located in the heart of Rockridge right on College Avenue. Love that Kitchen Story has a Yelp waitlist/reservations as the restaurant is tiny and wait times can be long, especially if you have a big party. The food is fantastic, think Californian Asian fusion. The Millionaire's Bacon is an absolute must try!Chicken and waffles is usually my go to at any breakfast place-- yes boring. Lol But Kitchen Story does a Korean FC and it's amazing. The waffles are actually crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside- some places will have a great fried chicken but the waffle is soggy or the opposite Kitchen Story gets it right. Every dish is always beautifully presented and photo worthy if that's your thing and service has been consistently friendly. They're pretty fast as they try and turn over tables quickly since the space is so small. Posting a few photos from the last few times we've been in. If you're looking for a new breakfast/brunch spot, Kitchen Story is a great option. Happy Breakfast Brunching!

This was my second time at this location & it didn't disappoint! Like always, it was pretty busy, but we were able to be seated quickly at the bar. It was a little cramped, but we didn't have to wait long so it worked for us!We ordered bottomless mimosas, which were quickly refilled by the staff. The service was fast, food was delicious, & clearly others thought so too since it's typically packed on weekends! For a "brunch appetizer", we ordered the Tater Poutine without bacon (curry, tater tots, fried egg, cotija, green onion). Then for our meals, we got the Primavera Scramble (egg whites, roasted tomato, arugula, mushroom) & Sprout Bibimbap (red cabbage, onion, apple, wakame, mushroom, romaine, spinach, fried egg, gochujang sauce, rice). Everything had such amazing flavors & was so filling! I brought home half of my scramble because it was so much food! Definitely plan to visit again soon.

When you want some breakfast with pizazz stop by the Kitchen Story. Yelp helped me find this charm. I was in the area and I am glad I stopped by.We ordered a variety of dishes including the french toast and Jjapaguri. Every item was flavorful and delightful. We enjoyed the outdoor seating but they have plenty indoors as well. The wait time was not bad considering we had a group of 8.
