I was lucky enough to receive my very first Kitchen Doula surprise delivery as a baby shower gift right before heading off for maternity leave...what a gem this local small business is! I was so impressed with the delivery service, and my kit arrived in a nice insulated reusable Kitchen Doula bag. The hearty soups and stews came in so clutch for me during those early newborn days and long nights at 3am, when feeding time for baby came around and I was starvvvvinggg (and cold scurrying down to my kitchen in the odd hours of the night). I loved the nourishing cock-a-leek soup paired with a side of the plain biscuits...my husband and I were practically rushing to beat the other to the last serving of it because it was so nourishing and yummy (of course, I always got the seconds). We had a variety of the other staple soups, and I appreciate how diverse the options are on their site...you can't get bored with the selections. A couple years later, I have found myself riding the waves of the cold/flu season (which seems to keep cycling back in our household especially with a toddler in preschool passing germs back and forth), and I am needing to have nourishing, fresh, and warming soups to help bring comfort...and Kitchen Doula, we meet again! This is now my go-to recommendation for new mamas, parents, or peeps, just needing to find some relief in the food they eat, in a way that feels good to put into your body and to spend your money on. So happy for this service!

I lost my baby at 20 weeks and kitchen doula nursed me back to health when I couldn't even think about cooking. The prices are so reasonable and it's the best prepared food in the Bay Area. So easy, so delicious. Thank you.

Kitchen Doula has been a lifesaver during both of my post-partum journeys! Tali is great and quick to answer the questions I had about delivery to Concord. Delivery is every week and so seamless, there is even an app to track the status of the delivery. The soups and stews were all so flavorful - I didn't have to season them at all! My favorites are the cauliflower potato soup, ginger chicken soup and the oatmeal white chocolate chip cookies (seriously, so good!). Having access to quick and healthy food is so important, especially during the 4th trimester when I'm in full zombie mode. And I'm so thankful for Kitchen Doula!

It was an amazing gift to receive postpartum. Nutritious and delicious. I couldn't have asked for better. So impressed with the delivery from another state too. Dont hesitate to do this for a loved one. About to order now for a relative going through cancer treatment.

I ordered the Healing & Recovery package of soups and stews for the first time after having severe stomach issues over the last few weeks. Even after just a few days, my stomach is feeling SO much better and I'm feeling more like my normal self.Not only are the soups/stews nourishing and hearty, but they are so delicious that my husband keeps sneaking bites of my meals! Thank you, Tali, for helping me with my gut reset with your beautiful food.

This was the most amazing gift as a new mom. My only complaint is that the food was so good my partner wanted to eat lots of it. Delivery was wonderful as I was a little outside the delivery area. Sad they are closed for a bit since I came to order this for my SIL, who I know would enjoy this too.

Kitchen Doula was such an amazing support for dear friends who had experienced a tragic and life-altering loss. We sent an Extra Healing Package to them and have heard over and over how yummy, comforting, and (truly) healing the food has been. It's clear that the food, and the company, is infused with a lot of homemade care and love. We experienced a delivery challenge (not at all connected to Kitchen Doula), and Tali was super responsive, helpful, and incredibly kind and generous throughout the shipping frustrations. All of her communication was thoughtful and so appreciated. We look forward to continuing to sample the nourishing meals offered by Kitchen Doula, and share with other friends, as well!
