Randomly wanted sweets after lunch and we found this place. It's in a small plaza with plenty of parking. We had the sheeryakh and it was AMAZING! It was my first time having it and it was so good.My sister and I wanted to just share a small serving but after we finished that one quickly, we ordered another serving! lolAll the flavors from the milk, ice cream, pistachio, and the rose combined were perfect. There is a kiosk where you can order from or you can also order at the counter. The ice cream was not super sweet which was great because this made the dessert refreshing and not heavy.I would like to come back here again and bring my family and friends.

This was my first time trying Afghan ice cream, and it was such a sweet surprise after enjoying an incredible full-course Afghan lunch. It served as an excellent culinary introduction to the culture. Kabul Icy Treats did not disappoint!Inside, you can place your order at one of the kiosks near the counter. There are booths to sit and enjoy your treat, complete with TVs and lively, colorful decor. The ice cream is light and creamy, featuring floral and fragrant flavors. I believe we tried the "ZHALA," which is their authentic handmade Afghan ice cream made with milky cream, sweet noodles, shaved ice, cardamom, pistachio, almond, rose water, and rose petals. Although I'm not usually a fan of rose-flavored treats, I absolutely loved this one. It is very different from American ice cream and Italian gelato; this was a delicately floral, sweet treat with a variety of textures.Definitely have to try this if you never had Afghani ice cream.

Ice cream after 9pm, especially important when almost nothing else is open! Walk in to 8 booths for 4, a mom and pop place that serves afghan desserts and for some reason, a yummy sausage "burrito"! Great traditional ice cream with that hint of cardamum and seeing the bits of pistachio is nice work to be eaten quickly! Gets very busy for post meal visits from the local afghans. Would come back if in union city or Fremont.

This was my first-time trying Afghan ice cream and Kabul Icy Treats does NOT disappoint! Also added bonus is that it's opened relatively late in comparison to other businesses in the area. Perfect for if you want a sweet treat after dinner. You order at either of the 2 kiosk stations near the counter and pick up your order after. There was a couple families and groups of people there too, so you can tell that this is a community favorite as well. We got the large ZHALA which is their authentic handmade Afghan ice cream made with milky cream, sweet noodles, shaved ice, cardamom, pistachio, almond, rose water and rose petals. I enjoy rose flavored things (teas, macarons, etc.) so this was a delicately floral, sweet treat that didn't taste grossly artificial. The nuts also added a textural bonus to it. The large was enough to share between 3 full adults after dinner. Good stuff would love to come back to sample more of their menu. PS. The stock images with the watermark on them in their establishment is good for a laugh lol.

The entire shop was cute with bright colors and fun lights strung around. They had the TV playing a show the whole time we were there; it definitely made the spot feel homey and casual.I believe there's an option to order at the counter, but I opted to use the self-serve kiosk, which worked well too. There were a few typos on the order screen, but they were minor enough that you could still understand what it was supposed to say. But the absolute star of the show was the sheeryakh! I also tried the zahla, but the noodles in the zahla don't do much for me. The sheeryakh on the other hand tastes identical without the noodles, and it was yummm. The rose medals and cardamom added a lot to make the dessert fragrant, and the milky cream helped to dilute the sweetness of the ice cream.

This is my first time having Zhala. I liked the ice cream in milky cream. The sweetness is just perfect. I am still quite unsure on how I feel about the noodles, but it does add a good texture. Daughter ordered Sheeryakh, almost simikar to Zhala, but with almonds and without the noodles. She said it was good.
