My new boyfriend brought me here for Valentine's Day dinner shortly after we became official. We had such a wonderful dinner, and enjoyed delicious udon! When we came in on Thursday evening after work, we were pleased that we had the restaurant to ourselves for a bit. By the time we left, the restaurant was full. The customer service was very kind and welcoming. They were chill with the giant bouquet of roses and gifts that my boyfriend and I exchanged, and even helped us take photos together. Thanks Judoku Sushi for our first Valentine's Day dinner!

Came to Judoku Sushi on a Thursday night for a mini High School Reunion slash catch up session with three other friends.Note that Judoku Sushi has another location off College/Berkeley and to make super sure when making plans to come here.As other folks have mentioned, the area can be super sketchy and parking can be hard to find. I ended up suggesting to have the others park at the parking lot across the street in the plaza where Sprouts/Starbucks/Chipotle resides due to the difficulty of finding street parking. Luckily nothing bad happened around there.Once you enter the inside of the restaurant, Judoku is a pretty hip place. They have an indoor dining section and an outdoor patio area. Since it was around the Christmas holiday, the patio was adorned with a lit up tree adding to the ambiance.Service was good and prompt. Our waters were always refilled and the staff made a note to come get us when we waved them down. Among the four of us, we ordered 3 ramens, a Toro Bowl, and 4 rolls that we split. We did notice that the cost was pretty steep, although understood that it was Oakland pricing, as each of the rolls were just a dollar or two short of $20. Thing to note was that the rolls came out to be a decent size with 8 pieces for each of those rolls. In the end, it averaged to about $46 per person, which isn't horrible for Japanese. Would definitely be checking out the other location next time.

Hands down one of my favorite spots in Oakland, this sushi restaurant (and more) is such a vibe! Very close to Piedmont Ave. and Kaiser Oakland, Judoku is the perfect spot to dine outdoors with friends, a date, or just playing catch-up with a girlfriend. The staff is so accommodating and friendly, the interior inviting, but the outdoor area..unlike any other sushi spot in the East Bay with fun art, instagrammable backdrops, and just a cool essence. Well done! The menu is massive ~ we ordered the Kakiage Tempura and Bento Boxes for an afternoon lunch and omg what a deal! You can choose 2 or 3 items, so naturally we chose 3 ~ the avocado roll, teriyaki chicken, and pork gyoza accompanied by miso soup, edamame, and rice. Add a salad for a couple bucks if you're dining in! The Kakiage Tempura is so unique, crispy, and one of the most delicious appetizers in the East Bay..I said it! Delicate fried squares of shrimp, sweet potato, yellow onion, shitake and other root veggies combined into one bite. Glorious! And the value of what you can get in the bento box has me coming back for more. I only did the avocado roll this time, but can't wait to try more of their specialty rolls soon. Delicious and clean pieces of teriyaki meat, and super yummy gyoza, not too greasy at all. If you're in the area, coming from an appointment, or looking for a unique yet vibrant change to your typical sushi experience, Judoku hits the mark every time.

Okayyyy underrated gem here! It was bae's turn to pick the restaurant and I was not disappointed. We enjoyed some beef udon, and a couple rolls. The rolls were giving high quality, with fatty tuna and truffle pâté like boujie how I like it. They also had plenty of nigiri to choose from which I'd like to try in the future. The service was efficient and we didn't wait long for our food. I didn't take a look af the back patio because it was cold but I'll be back with bae fasho to enjoy that as well.

We got DoorDash for sushi tonight so I can't really comment on the restaurant itself, but wow! Can we talk about fresh! The rolls do not fall apart because they are made to order and the fish is super tender and fresh. This place deserves lots of love!

The quality of the Nigeria was fine The miso soup was flavorful but only had two little chunks of tofu and one small very small piece of spinach. Maybe I needed to read the fine print but the order came with no wasabi Ginger or soy sauce including chopsticks. Not even a napkin. Now I can live without having chopsticks in my delivery Even soy sauce as I have lots of it all the time I generally have wasabi unfortunately I have been on an extended trip and I cleaned the refrigerator out and there was just a little bit left and so I put it on my order list for groceries unfortunately I am not yet been to the grocery store. So nigiri without wasabi Ginger probably the first time I've ever eaten it that way. Wish I had known in advance if this is their policy I will go to another place even though they're food is ok.

Sushi spot located in Oakland off of Broadway close to Kaiser. Parking can be a little hard but there's street parking but it's Oakland so always we aware and don't leave anything valuable in your car. This was my second time here for a large post work gathering, the first time we sat inside and the inside front is a little tiny but it opens up to a large outside covered patio with warmers, def huge outside. We had a part of about 12 people and took a huge order. Here is what we ordered: Appetizerssake- Kurosawa 1 and 2 hot sakesBeerGarlic edamameHamachi carpaccioChicken karaageSquid tentacles (geso karaage)Mango salmon saladCombo tempurahot teasRollsblue finJudokulion kingGSWScallop infernoSexy CasanovaNinja hot 2Dragon rollMealsChicken katsuunagi don -- for someone that doesn't eat raw fish Chicken teriyaki Korean chirashiWe ordered about 3 more rolls and I think another one of the meal dishes but we did really well and pretty much finished everything. We all had waters and miso soup too. Service was great, the staff was very accommodating especially with our large group and our food came out in a timely manner. We made a reservation less than a week in advance for a Monday evening around 6pm in November.

Smelled like cleaning supplies and the salmon undercooked in bento box while the chicken Katsu way over cooked! To be fair, haven't tried the sushi but not a good start so won't be going there.

This place is definitely good for foodtography! Cute entrance and seating area. We ordered the Salmon Sashimi, Sexy Casanova Roll and Fresh Fish Rolls. I didn't care for any of the items we ordered, they all tasted low quality and not fresh. I was highly disappointed, we were very excited to try this place for the first time. There's several better sushi restaurants in the area, so I would probably not give this place another try. Especially considering the risk of eating raw fish, it's critical that the quality is high. I wouldn't want to get sick over sushi.
