Joe's Buffet

Locals favorite. Mountain of meat. The best sellers are definitely the French deep and the Joe's Special which add pastrami to the French dip. Family run, great service. Cafeteria style, order at counter, they make it in front of you, ask if you want to add any sides, pay and find a table in the dining room.

Amazing eastern American Deli style food. I haven't had food like this since buds buffet heartbreakingly closed down in downtown Sacramento, it was a Sacramento institution for hot deli/buffet style food. This place is just as good, with HOT fresh sliced beef, pastrami and other meats and even mashed potatoes and gravy. They have an excellent deep brown gravy filled with pepper and spices, loaded with meaty flavors. You can taste the flavors of the meats and spices within the gravy, it's not some cheap powdered stuff. The people working there are nice, they aren't stingy with the meats. The interior is a cafeteria buffet style, you line up and get your food. They have a lot to choose from and Service is speedy, they'll get you in and out quick so you don't have to wait on that delicious, hearty meal.I drove all the way from Sacramento, it was worth it and I'd do it again. I was on a trip to the Bay Area, this meal kept my family full all day long you can tell it was very nutritious. Fantastic food.

Excellent sandwiches, especially because of their au jus/gravy. It's got an incredibly beefy flavor that you just can't enough of! I slurped up whatever remaining au jus was left after I polished my half of the sandwich because it was that good. And yes, the sandwiches are huge here! We split a Joe's Special which was a mix of thinly sliced roast beef and pastrami, and we stuffed it with mayo, mustard, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and onions inside a French roll. As if that was not enough, we also got an excellent potato salad on the side that was creamy and tangy. It's a very chill, no frills kind of spot and everyone there was super friendly. We'll be back!

Yeah... this is just awesome spot for a very good meaty sandwich. Nothing fancy. No gimmicks. It is more like a "come and get it" type place that serves great bread with hearty piles of meat and a superb au jus that very rich and deep flavored. Joes has to be my new favorite "whatcha havin" place in upstate CA.

This is easily the best place to grab a sandwich in this town. Heaping portions of meat, friendly staff and great service. Joes might not have the prettiest ambiance but it has a classic feel and touch to it. Nothing bad to say about this place. Love their hot turkey sandwiches and some of the best mashed potatoes and gravy ever. Really cant go wrong with this place.

Fairfield staple. Must try. Best French dip you can have today. Place always has positive attitude and great culture.

I haven't ventured to Joe's buffet in many years. I happen to be in the downtown Fairfield area and I thought I would stop and have a sandwich.I ordered the French dip with provolone loaded with everything on it, including pickles mayonnaise mustard . I must say I was a little disappointed with the flavor. I thought the roast beef taste extremely bland. However, the size of the sandwich was enormous. I ate half there took the other half home and put some barbecue sauce on it. Nothing like sweet baby rays to make things taste better. It helped dramatically however after going to Joe's, I probably would not venture there again. Better choices out there now. It's a shame Joe's buffet has been a staple in the Fairfield downtown area for many years.

This was my first time here. The staff at the counter were amazing and very friendly. The food was great. I'll be coming back here for sure.

Joes Buffet is definitely a stop to make when you are in the Fairfield/Suisun area. The sandwiches here is stacked with meat and made the way you like it. I get the pastrami with Swiss cheese, extra pickles, onions , jalapenos and/or pepperoncini. The team is friendly

Have always loved this place since high school, used to go to Armijo and get their student discount. The sandwiches are stuffed with warm meat and delicious. Service is great, the business owner is always so friendly.
