Jay's Coffee Teas and Treats

My nephew and I were having such a good visit in Alameda, we needed more time together. So we swung by Jay's and had an iced latte coffee, sitting in comfy chairs by the window. Tasty! Refreshing!

My husband and I are at it again on our coffee adventures! Upon entry, you give your order at the counter top. Good seating, peaceful work space, large tables, plugs available for computers. I ordered a Cortado. First sign of trouble was, the barista did not know what a Cortado was. For those that don't know, it's 1/2 espresso to equal parts warm milk. The Cortado was too milky, however the coffee bean had a great good roast. My husband ordered the Vanilla latte. It was on the sweeter side, giving hot chocolate vibes. We ordered another shot of espresso to settle the sugar down. Food wise, we ordered the Roast beef Panini. The chipotle sauce was yummy! Veggie bagel included regular bagel, cream cheese, cucumber, salad and tomato. I would have liked a choice of bagel type. The signature Cowboy cookie was soft with crunchy edges, made of chocolate chip, oatmeal and nut variations. I'm going to go back- overall, things were good.

Outdoor seating, coffee cake and coffee greatly enjoyed. Bring your own mug, help out the earth some. Kind proprietors. Thank you.

This was a perfect place for my friend and I to catch up. The owners/staff were very hospitable. Our salads (Katy's Country Salad) were so tastey, very fresh, and visually appealing. Their house made viniagerette was so delicious. They serve a generous portion of their salads. I enjoyed every single bite. My cappuccino was made perfectly with the right amount of foam. My friend enjoyed her iced tea (I forgot the type of tea and flavor). The chocolate chip cookies made in house were the perfect conclusion to our meal. They were so yummy with the right amount of sweetness. I don't live close by, but I plan to return. If I lived close by, this would be my regular spot. Also, the atmosphere is so relaxing. Loved the chill vibe.

Such a cute spot, friendly service, variety of drink options. I came to do some studying and it was great. I thought I was taking up space bc of the seating but they have another room area for seating and some outdoor seating as well! I wanted to try the milky way latte but got the black & white mocha which was good.

Best cafe mocha in town! Also love their homemade pastries, especially their scones and morning buns. It's not super rich and buttery but really gives that homemade taste that I prefer.Service is a bit off sometimes. The younger gal was so friendly and helpful. But the others have barely managed a smile when I come in.

I tried this place for the first time in a couple of years. I was really disappointed. Their prices are really excessive. I paid $15 for an extremely small sandwich. I don't mind the price, I mind the lack of value. That sandwich should have cost $8-9. It's looks like most of their menu is overpriced.

hidden gem! tried a few items from here so far and they have all been wonderful. very simple sandwiches but i cant get enough. i love the btla and chicken avocado! the sourdough and focaccia bread omggggg so good!!! parking can be tough but if you're lucky you'll get a spot right in front. i usually doordash from here but today i decided to stop by after work and it was a perfect lunch like always
