JARS by Fabio Viviani

I went to JARS for the first time. Ordering was pretty simple there is a kiosk and you order there. The menu has many options which was great to see and the pictures when you order are also helpful. There was a line when I went but staff was really great at getting everyone in and out.I am happy to see a dessert place in Emeryville. It is a great addition and good treat to grab after dinner or a movie or even shopping. I took the dish to go because I wanted to eat it at home and it held up great on the ride back.My tiramisu had great flavor and was a great size for me despite it looking quite small in the picture.I look forward to going back and trying a different flavor

Don't waste your money. This is what the milkshake actually looks like. There's nothing special about it. They have such nice looking items on their menu and this is what they serve you? It's basically a McDonald's quality milkshake.Edit in response to the manager's comment: The lack of a lid was annoying but the most insignificant problem. This was still not an acceptable product to substitute for what you advertised. It was a mediocre milkshake and nothing like what was advertised on your menu.

I got the Nutella flavor jar cake. Easy ordering process - either order on the iPads on your own, or go up to the cash register. Ordering it to-do just means they'll put it on a plastic take-out container which is quite sturdy so the plastic jar doesn't wobble around. Employees are friendly here. The cake was good but not sure if it was worth $8+. However, it is a nice quick treat to have.

I went here on a Saturday around 7pm and there was no wait! However, there was a crowd a little AFTER I arrived. Anyways, I always love getting desserts after dinner so I decided to try this place and the cute ambiance outside the store was what drew me in!I saw their ad for their new Fall Flights line outside in front of their store. Since they have so many different flavors here and it was my first time trying this place, I decided to get it anyways. That flight came with Memphis Mafia (Peanuts), Carrot Cake, Apple Struesel, Raspberry Double Chocolate, Pumpkin Cheesecake, and also a Banana Cream Pie jar since they ran out of the Spooktacular Halloween flavor. I also tried the Red Velvet Cake Shake and Oreo Cake Shakes. Anyways, both of those shakes tasted very similar, but I still enjoyed the taste of those shakes.My top 2 favorite jar flavors from the Fall Flights were the Carrot Cake and Memphis Mafia (Peanuts) jars. I loved how the Carrot Cake wasn't too sweet and had cake pieces, which made it a nice treat. The Memphis Mafia was my other favorite since it reminded me of my favorite chocolate candy because of the crushed peanuts.I'd recommend this place! The staff are nice and helpful and I like how they wanted to know what my favorite jar flavors were. Everything tasted good too and I love how much variety they have.

Cute little place around Bay Street!This is my first time trying this place out but it did not disappoint! It was pretty ok, but i felt like the pumpkin cheesecake cup wasn't as sweet as I would have hoped. It does get pretty busy inside, so i wouldn't recommend walking in for any big orders. It took about 10 minutes for my order to come out for one cup. The staff were pretty nice and attentive to everyone and tried to get orders out as fast as possible even if they were pretty busy. It is a pretty small space inside, most people just grab and go with their orders. If you're looking for a sweet treat around Bay Street definitely worth the try if you're in the area :)

Finally made it to jars. Nice clean well kept lobby area..the staff was nice and very helpful.. I couldn't decide if I wanted the Oreo or read velvet so I ended up with both flavors and the banana.. the banana was the best one hands down.. these desserts are definitely ment to eat with in the first day.. I haves the red velvet and Oreo for the next day bad ideas.. the red velvet was fine but the Oreo didn't hold up well.. the cake was too mushy.. I'd definitely come back again

First things first, their employees were doing a great job promoting this new dessert shop on Bay Street! If they didn't approach us first, we wouldn't have gone in. They were also very helpful!I think they provide a great array of different cake jar flavors! Even cooler how you can make any of the cake flavors into a cake shake!This is how I would rate what we ordered:- Tres Leches Cake Shake 4/5: overall good flavor! My only gripe is how sweet and small it was. A tad bit too sweet for me (just a personal preference! My partner didn't mind the sweetness). I also found it quite small for the price, but Jars does seem like a specialty dessert shop. However, despite all of that, I kept taking sips because I loved the flavor LOL- Mango Passion Fruit Refresher 4/5: sweetness was perfect! More mango forward than passion fruit, but still yummy! They include some fresh mango chunks as well! The only downside is that the chunks were too large to fit through the straw, so either a larger straw or smaller chunks might help with that.Like the concept of the these cake and custard jars and how changing flavors every 3 months! It's different from what's out there right now. We ordered drinks because we were on the go, but next time, I hope to try a Jar cake!

Food: I only tried the banana cream pudding jar but I thoroughly enjoyed it! Presentation was clean, ratio of Nila wafers and pudding was balanced, the yellow cake was a nice addition, I would have loved some fresh bananas in there as well but the banana flavor was definitely present. I also appreciated the size. This is a very sweet treat and anything larger would have been too much. Service: Staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. My order was out promptly even with a line out of the door. Ambiance: Small, cute, and clean. A grab and go set up. I appreciated the decorative neon sign shown in my photos.

Tried some of their desserts at a party I went to.Oreo: tastes like Oreo. DceentGerman double chocolate: standard chocolate cake, had coconut on top. decent.Mexican hot chocolate: cinnamon hot chocolate with a kick, pretty tastyred velvet: deliiiiiicious. The vanilla pudding was on point and the red velvet cake parts were awesome, moist, and flavorfulIt was just ok for me as I'm not a fan of sweets that much.
