J & M Mississippi BBQ

Came in for rib links and some sweet potato this weekend. Everyone was nice to me while I waited and it was a very nice throw back to when I was down home. I wish I didn't have to rush off because I would have like to have had my links there. I'll come back for lunch some time.

Fridays are usually when I crave bbq...since its close to summertime and I want to support local business during this Covid-19 hiatus... Ive decided to do one new bbq place till I've tried all of them in town.This place has been around for a while...any time I drive down Sonoma blvd it always smells good by the time you get right where J&M is located.That's partly a good sign for finally getting some today!Ended up with a two-way combo...and it was scrump!( scrumptious for those not with the lingo)Cool for takeout...not enough ambiance for sit-down even in normal conditions.

One of these hole in the wall restaurants you never hear much about. Tried the ribs good sauce ribs decent little fatty and chewy 2.5 stars. Links good taste 3.5 stars. Potato salad very good 4 stars. Beans great flavor 4 stars. Pretty decent but since the ribs were not up to speed I couldn't give more than 3 stars. Probably no reason to go back. But decent food if you're in the area.

At least nine years agoI gave this business mybest endorsement.I have not been back in over four years.I have read all the disastrous reviews here on yelp. I am ashamed of the public disappointment.I now admit in all reality the grief precisely documented is definitely true. I love the ownership and Family. Yet this business is no longer worthy of my endorsement.

I was rolling around V town taking care of business. I rolled past J&M and could smell the BBQ. That made me turn my Whip White Rabbit around and pull into J&M . I parked right in front and rolled in .I ordered the Beef Brisket Lunch special for $6.59 which turned out to be $11 dollars after they showed me 3 different price lists lol .Then when I checked my order and my Brisket was cut Razor Thin and there was very few pieces . I said something and they agree to add links in as they had run out of Brisket to finish my order . LOL I will not be back . It was a Disappointing Experience.I like to Support Small businesses but not at the extent of getting ripped off . I really didnt like the 3 different price lists.

Trash!!! BBQ sauce looks like tomato paste tase awful and i ordered a full slab, looks a half of slab not worth the price at all.

Friendly people but terrible food. Expensive. Didn't taste fresh. Even the sides were not good. I got 2 meat combo meal with chicken, ribs, green beans and macaroni salad. Total out the door $22.70 = No bueno.

Wouldn't recommend spent a lot of money for meat that didn't taste smoked taste like it came out the oven terrible but the people were nice

12 bucks for a lunch combo meat and one side The rib meat was falling off the bone. i got hot bbq sauce and it was hot! Not too hot because the sweetness kicked in perfect combo so good. The green beans had the perfect amount of garlic and butter. I saw the meat come right off the grill outside.
