My rigatoni bolognese was one of the better ones I've had. The sauce was perfect for my version of Italian food. We enjoyed their zucchini flowers appetizer and also their fried calamari.Service and ambience was great!

Love the food! The service is getting better, it is more inline with the price your paying. This time we ordered:Campu (3.5 Stars $15)The salad has shaved Pears, arugula, shaved Parmigiano Reggiano and lemon vinaigrette. Everything was fresh, the only issue was the pear, you could barely tell it was on the salad because it was shaved. I like the idea of balance the bitter arugula with the sweet pear, but it did not because there hardly was any pear. The vinaigrette worked well with everything. It would be great if they added some chopped hazelnut for some texture.2 Sicilian Meatballs (4 Stars $11) The meatball was a good size, soft but held together. They served with the right amount of sauce and cheese on top, not covered in cheese and sauce like other places.Ravioli Porcini Trifolati (4.5 Stars $25) The mushroom ravioli are really good, but the cream is not cooked down... too uncooked if you have lactose problems. If you don't this dish is awesome!Stinco d'agnello (5 Stars $38) Braised Lamb Shanks with crispy polenta. This dish was awesome! The lamb was so tender and full of flavor, the sauce was perfect, carrots, onion, herbs... All good. I liked the polenta but wished it was more traditional, soft with cheese instead of crispy. Tiramisu (5 Stars) one of the best, get some!Until next time...

This place has good food but the space is very loud. It's hard to have a conversation. The wine selection is good. If you are a Sauvignon Blanc person they only have one option and by the glass. Mostly all Chardonnay. Service is slow due to high number of patrons and lower waiters headcount.

Somewhat disappointing experience. My friend made a reservation for inside, yet when we arrived they couldn't seat us inside and offered us outdoor seating instead (and this was on one of those hot summer nights when you'd really rather be inside with the AC). Then, the waiter said they had a full bar; yet they couldn't make several drinks I asked for..And when they finally made me a simple daiquiri, not only did they charge me for a more expensive rum, but they charged extra for the lime juice... are you kidding me? Their only saving grace was that their appetizers were very good. But our main dishes were lack luster.. and our service was just ok.

I love their concept, also the added room padding to make it a bit less loud. Food always yummy, service always very friendly but not intrusive and prices that don't break the bank. The wine menu is decent. My go to Italian!

No need to gate keep on this one! Isola Osteria is already the hot new Sicilian / Italian restaurant in the Tri-Valley. Located in Downtown Danville railroad Ave. Isola has already expanded its hours to accommodate its popularity. Now open for lunch / dinner and happy hour on Tuesday thru Friday. We grabbed a sit outside on the patio a jazz guitarist plays in Friday and Saturdays. My daughter and I got a couple of cocktails and the following appetizers. Arancini Rice ballsBeef carpaccio Grilled VeggiesAhi tunaMusselsAll were excellent but the mussels really stood out. They were large plump and in a saffron sauce. Plenty of parking in the large public lot. Look for the Vespa and the Fiat in the front. Pro Tip go early on a nice day order up a some drinks and appetizers enjoy the music then at 5 pm the dinner menu is available.

Tried the newest Danville rage for lunch. Isolo Osteria, owned and operated by true Sicilians. This place is authentic! From the waiters with attitude to the anchovy pasta. The bread starter with olive oil was really good. A bit salty, but that's how I like it. The mains we ordered were pasta and panini. The quality and freshness was outstanding. Handmade pasta with an anchovy ragu that tasted like it had been simmering all day. Pro-tip. Order the arancini, Italian rice balls. They were right out of the fryer and perfect!! The height of the meal. Excellent!!We'll be back for dinner.

The Dining Roonm is VERY Loud. Not a good place to go if you want to have a conversation. The food was mediocre and not seasoned enough. I was really looking foward to the Frittura Mista appetizer which included calamari, shrimp and artichoke. Unfortunately both the shrimp and calamari were overcooked. The Fiore di Zucca (Stuffed Sqaush Blossom) had a thick batter which made the dish doughy. The pasta entree was ok. Overall, for this type of food, there are better restaurants in the area

I recommend the patio - the indoor space is bright at night (use dimmers!) and loud. Ambiance outside is really really nice when the temperature is good. The pasta here was fantastic and more than big enough to share. Will happily roll this one into our regular rotation.
