The food is ok. The service is good. The food is a bit salty. The place reminds me of the stalls in SM and Greenhills. The kakanin is ok too.

Ima's Kusina inside Seafood City right acrossthe Southland Mall. Right behind Macy's. It my first time being here. We order Halo Halo, ukoy ukoy and carino. Halo Halo was surprisingly looking delicious but taste was not good. The top part was good until you get to the middle and bottom. It nota traditional Halo Halo. Way different then anotherhalo halo. I ate a mystery piece and end up throwing up the pieces. There halo halo was mysteriously things inside. The same thing with ukoy ukoy it was disappointing and the carino. Not worth the price we paid including tips.

I'll admit that I stopped at Ima's Kusina as "the other place" next to it had a lonnngggg line. So glad I did as they offer a variety of sweet and savory items I never tried and looked so inviting and intriguing! PORK...yeah, I was on a pork kick! :: Cebuchon - Roasted, rolled pork belly - super juicy and flavorful meat, seasoned and stuffed with lemongrass, scallions, bay leaves - with brown, crunchy skin - YUM! :: Lechon Paksiw - this dish is new to me...lechon with crispy skin and tender meat in a sweeter Filipino-adobo sauce with a noticeable oil layer from the pork...This dish is definitely a little goes a long way with some steamed rice! - WOW! :: Chicken Inasal - Filipino-style bbq chicken - leg/thigh meat only - nicely lacquered with sweet and vinegary glaze... smoky, peppery, with a hint of citrus - DELICIOUS! :: Siu Mai - not the traditional Chinese version but has the ground pork with different flavor (addition of carrots, calamansi and seasoning. Texture was more of a paste vs a coarse chopped pork...not bad... SWEETS :: Turon - deep-fried banana with jackfruit and drizzled with a sweet, crackly caramel (depending on the time you get it!) - later in the day its more of a syrup but still delicious. :: Carioca - first time having...the lady standing in front of me bought 3 orders aka 9 pcs and convinced me to get some: "you have to try it its so good!".....and described it as deep-fried coconut flavored mochi with caramel over it....all i heard was deep fried and caramel and was like OK! For someone who isn't a fan of mochi this was wonderful! Crispy on the outside, slight chew on this inside with the flavor of coconut and rich brown sugar glaze - AMAZING!For the items above i would give 4 stars and will definitely stop here again. Pricing on the higher side but still reasonable! Service is friendly enough but sometimes, a little disorganized (4 workers helping one person with their pickup order). Plus, it's hard to get their attention as they have a shelf with food that blocks their view. Hellooo?!Located in Seafood City shopping center. Plenty of lot parking.

Ima's Kusina is in Noodle Street's vacated space in Seafood City. the lunch entrees are in the center. no labels, a variety of meats, veggies, and fish.offerings: lunch combso, Filipino sweets & desserts.eats: 2 item lunch combo (11.50)-the rice is mushy, not firm. don't eat rice often so not an issue.Lechon Bicol?-roast pig chucks in a lot of creamy brown sauce, meat was mostly dry. some of the lechon skin was fresh, crunchy & tasty.Chicken curry-curry had lots of flavor, chicken lacked flavor, many small bone pieces so beware. eat slowly. don't swallow the bones....3.5 stars. good value. better if meat was more tender. sauces were fab!lots of seating inside, parking in lot.

The deserts look delicious. You might sell more of them if your staff did more than stare at customers from the back and didn't acknowledge them. Myself and 3 other customers walked away after waiting a few minutes with no staff greeting us and just looking at us from the back and walking away.

Ordered the pinactbet yesterday it was pretty good as it had all my favorite veggies in it. This was my second time buying their tinapa and I was grossed out the inside was raw even though I fried it it should of been smoked thoroughly! I had bought their tinapa months ago it was their spicy one smaller portions of fish and was delicious. I should of known now that the fish is bigger it did not taste the same but bloody guts inside grossed us out!

The owner/lead really needs to taste every dish and dessert before you place it for people to buy. The service is great, friendly staff , no problem there. The PROBLEM is the food, it's one of those looks good on the outside but taste sooo terrible. I just got ukoy and carioka today, Wow looks so good n fresh.. but the ukoy was hard as a ROCK, not edible, taste like they used old rice as binder and 1 shrimp to top had an odd taste.Yikes!! The carioka tasted like it was cooked yesterday also,it's already hard and stale. Too bad, I wonder why the food here is not as good as the one they have in Milpitas. Been to that one many times and never disappoints, they have a great cook there. Please taste your food before you sell them, I would watch out also in buying the wrapped desserts because I bought one before and it was already panis. Please improve even if your inventory is small and expensive as long as it's good n fresh ,we will still buy because Pinoy's love to eat.

Masyadong mapag samantala sa kasabikan ng mga Filipino sa pagkain nakalakihan. They increased price many times in a year. Though inflation slowed down. Most expensive Filipino food spot in the Bay Area. One meal is like eating in a steak house. Food does not taste good.Servers are rude as if they own the place. don't eat here if you are on a budget because if you will be surprise when you check out. Those rice is obviously not cooked well. Its either not cooked well or cooked too much because os too hard.
