I love it here. I love their Banh Beo (Steam rice cake) and I usually order 2 orders for myself, the Cha Hue (Steam Sausage), Banh Ram It (Shrimp filled chewy mochi on top of crispy fried dough), and if I'm going with my husband he'll get the Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Beef Noodle Soup).I think their BBH here is average at best, but I'm strictly here for the appetizers. HOT TIP: I always order an extra bowl of chicharrones cause I'm a fatty and then as for sate (fried chili in oil) and dunk it in the fish sauce. I let the fried pork skin soak in the sate fish sauce a bit and voila, deliciousness and artery clogging goodness awaits. I always leave a happy kid.

Sunday at 11:45am and it was packed!! Luckily a few groups of people left when we arrived. Got seated within 5 mins. But once we left there was a mob of 20-25 people waiting. The BBH is so yummy! They give plenty of meat. It's my go to place for BBH. I remember coming here when they first opened and it was only half the store. I'm definitely a loyal customer to this place. Their severs were quick and available. Water refills and Togo boxes were grabbed immediately for us!

2nd time here. Food has improved a lot.Very delicious bánh bèo. They came out hot, soft, good fish sauce. The best I've had so far.Bánh ram ít: not as good as I expected. I will skip this next time.Bánh bèo chay same texture as the non-veg version but with tofu. The real version was better.Bún bò Huế chay: great broth, not salty. The noodle was overcooked so I only ate the vegan mock meat and drank the broth.Chạo tôm aka shrimp on sugar cane: good flavor. I wished they grilled it but it was still good being fried.

OG Hue spot for all things Hue. This is my go-to for BBH and Banh Bot Loc/Banh Ram It.You really can't go wrong with anything here. The worst mistake you can make is not coming here to eat! It's all really delicious and very authentic (or so I've heard. I'm not Vietnamese!) I personally love the Bun Bo Hue (BBH) and Banh Ram It, but I think the "correct" answer is to get the Banh Bot Loc for your appetizer. As for ambiance and service - this is a no frills, Vietnamese speaking establishment. Come in, signal with your hand to indicate how many people will need a table, sit down, and order your food by number. When you're done, pay at the counter with your table number, planning out the next time you come back to eat at Hue!

I'm definitely a fan of Hue Restaurant and it's definitely on my list of solid Vietnamese restaurants. Focused on Bun Bo Hue as their specialty, you'll quickly notice that their best sellers are Bun Bo Hue or Bun Bo Hue like and influenced noodle soup dishes. Now to think about it, I don't think they have any "pho" dishes. You'll also want to try their appetizers and they're always enjoyable and go so well with your noodle soup dish. We ordered the Banh Ram It to start and the texture differences and flavors were pretty awesome. My wife ordered the Mi Quang and the ingredients (the protein with the fresh veggies) all melded so well together. I ordered the Bun Rieu and it was solid. Generous with the crab portions, only issue was that mine was missing the pork blood. I asked them about it and they brought out some pork blood. Service was nice. Nothing special, but attentive and quick. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for the anti-pho Vietnamese noodle soup.

Vietnamese restaurant with a large variety of unique Vietnamese street food. They have some very unique Vietnamese appetizers other than the typical spring rolls. The appetizers are all very reasonably priced for its portion size and quite delicious. I saw a table next to us order only appetizers for the table which honestly seems like a great idea. The Bun Thit Nuong is a lighter and more refreshing flavor with its pickled vegetables and tart fish sauce on the side. It could be a little more sour in my opinion but it was delicious nonetheless (side note: there was a mysterious piece of lemon on our table but we did not know which dish it was intended for). The pork itself was delicious too but I lowkey liked the noodles without the pork. Overall, their flavors are light and not overwhelming.

Finally got to try the Banh Ram for the first time and it was tasty! The bottom deep fried portion was nice and crispy and the rice inside was soft and gooey. The dumpling on top held it's shape very well and went well with the sauce! Next I'll need to try the Banh Beo here! The Bun Bo Hue was so delicious here! I paid extra for the pork knuckle which was a decent size, but it was hard to eat the knuckle. I'd likely get just the bun bo hue next time!Luckily, when I got to Hue there happened to be seating for 2 available right away which seemed like the last open table. The location is super busy and hard to get a server if you need anything.

Came here because it was highly recommended by friends and I can see why! I really enjoyed the flavor of the broth here but I don't think it's quite my favorite in San Jose, but it's definitely more authentic than some of the other ones I've had out there. Personally Bun Bo Hue An Nam is my top, this would be a second. Though this place is super affordable so it's a huge plus. ~~Parking: Can be hard to find depending on the time you come. It's located in a super busy plaza and you can spend a while looking for parking if you're arriving at a "rush hour" time for lunch or dinner. ~~Service: Good. It was quick to order and pay. ~~Tips: Get the Banh Beo, it's amazing!! ~~Return: Yes

Probably the best Bún bò Huế I have ever had in a restaurant setting. BBH is Vietnamese spicy beef noodle soup.Outrageously good with clean, crisp flavor highlights you can pick out, and in a great environment with good service.I like that they are pushing recipes too with the mochi appetizer we ordered too. We also had the base herbal tea drink as well and it matched the meal perfect -- not very sweet but had a perfect dry tea flavor.I'd go back in a second... was chaperoned by a Vietnamese friend so they helped order.
