Definition of hole in the wall hidden gem. I've tried this place a few times now and they never disappoint. The pork and corn dumplings and pork, shrimp,and chive dumplings are my go to. The salt and pepper fried tofu is a must have; crispy on the outside and soft inside - doesn't get soggy! Last but not least, the green beans. Super addicting and goes great with any main dish. ( warning, might be better than the main dish)The owner and workers are super nice and friendly and the great value for quality of food. They even sell the dumplings and buns in bulk if you want to bring it home for a rainy day. A must try 10/10.

House of Dumplings is located in a small strip mall. The parking lot is small as well. So the parking can be challenging. Small mom and pop store. The service was ok. Shanghai Soup Dumplings - the meat portion was small. Tianjin Pork Buns - good, bready, doughy.Beef Noodle Soup - flavorful. The beef was tender and the noodles were elastic and chewy.

OH MY GOD DO I THINK DIN DING HAS COMPETITION WITH BEST SOUP DUMPLINGS!!They were immaculate! And the beef noodles and fried beef pancakes! Yes! Absolutely yes! We didn't get much pictures because the food was just too good and we definitely ordered with our stomach. The service was great and Sooo nice. Definitely recommend this spot! The cutest whole in the wall spot. So glad i listened to our married friend's recommendation.

Absolutely love the won ton soup, perfect on a cold day (or any day really). Services is always friendly and fast. No dine in options FYI so to go only

Mom and pop little dumpling restaurant. Only a few tables. They had a steady stream of take out and doordash orders. We ordered soup dumplings, pork and green bean dumplings, and lamb and vegetable dumpling. Soup dumplings were juicy but could have used a little more flavor. I think it would have been better if the green beans were chopped up instead of mixed with the pork. Lamb and vegetable dumpling as you would expect.

This is where I get my orders of frozen dumplings to enjoy at home. Having a stash in the freezer is an absolute must! Yum! The restaurant is small, and the tables fill up quickly, but the service is very relaxed and authentic. No pretenses - just delicious dumplings at a great price.

Haven't been able to come for a while and man, still delicious little nuggets of joy! Love these dumplings and the multilayer green onion pancake. Even my girls (7&9) loved the multilayer green onion pancake and the chicken and corn dumplings. They ate the whole dozen of them between them and a piece of the pancake each. I ordered the 3 flavor dumplings (pork shrimp and chives) and my mom got the fish and chives.The service was fine, though with only one person working the front she was super busy. We are patient though and got everything we ordered and ate while we were there at one of the 5 small tables. Ambiance isn't amazing because it's so small and a little cramped but the dumplings are definitely worth it. The multilayer pancake is delicious and crispy as well.I wish we lived closer but sadly I live in Knoxville so I can only come when I visit family. If you love dumplings, you need to visit the House of Dumplings. They sell frozen dumplings you can cook at home too.

Great food and great service. Small family run spot with good food for a good price. One of those local gems next to a liquor store and dog park across the street. Love this place and will keep coming for the dumplings

Kind of surprised by the rating here because the food tasted average/below average. Maybe an off day?I ordered through DoorDash: honey walnut shrimp, XLB, custard buns, and bean noodles. I love shrimp but the shrimp meat wasn't juicy and I don't know, it tasted overcooked? I didn't like the batter either.- The filling in the custard buns weren't thoroughly mixed and I think there were visible sugar granules. Tasted fine otherwise.- The XLB didn't have much soup- The bean (glass) noodles were the best thing out of the four. I felt like there was a lot of soy sauce/vinegar liquid with then noodles. Overall, the food was mostly disappointing and we ordered classic Chinese/dim sum dishes.

I have been coming here regularly for 2 years. I've tried a lot of restaurants in the Fremont-Newark-Union City area, but this is one I come back to time and time again for scrumptious home cooking. Now there does appear to be some slight changes so ownership may have changed, but for the most part the food is constantly the same. For example, the Tianjin pork buns seem to have more breading now, which is my only complaint. The buns are huge, tasty and affordable. Kids love these!We consistently order the pork napa cabbage dumplings, Tianjin pork buns, salt and pepper tofu, soup dumplings, and wonton soup. Sometimes we order the noodles, green beans, and sesame pancakes with marinated beef. Let me tell you about their wonton soup! If you're sick or it's cold and rainy, or you simply had a bad day and want a hug in the form of food, order their wonton soup! Their broth is fantastic. They put plenty of baby bok choy and wontons. It's comfort food made from the heart. I always order to go and it's never over cooked. The food is wholesome, tasty and kid-approved. My kids will go on a hike with me if I order this food for them!
