It's kind of wild to think you'd want to spend $70 on a 6 inch Jelly Cat inspired cat, but ya girl did it and have 0 regrets. If you're planning out your events and want to preorder a cake then I'd suggest you do so - they have a ton of tempting options available for preorder but the days seem to get filled up fast so I'd suggest not hesitating and pulling the trigger.Unfortunately, I waited, and all the preorders were taken for the 19th so I opted to try for their same order pick up instead and was able to snag a 6 inch cake with their traditional cream and strawberry filling. Located in Cupertino, they took over the old Egghead location. Parking is abundant as they're in a small lot and free. They require your ID and card used for purchase before handing you your cake. The cake itself was nice and airy, very similar to your classic Asian style fruit cake where it's not too sweet. My parents both really enjoyed the cake and took the rest of it home with them.. which made me sad as I could've totally had a 2nd slice and not feel bad.

The shop is located along the main road on Stevens Creek. There's a small parking lot for cars. When we came here, there weren't any customers, so we could quickly order one mini cake. The cake itself was really good. Not too sweet, as expected of Asian bakeries, with some fresh fruits and clear boba. The flavors aren't very strong, but that's how I like it. I would definitely come here again for their cakes!

Cakes here are adorable! What caught my eye was the jellycat cake but they have different animals as well. Ordering was easy and on their website. Originally they did not have any spots open for my date but I sent them an email and they were so accommodating! The cake was strawberry and cream flavor - not too sweet like American cakes. The fruit was fresh and the frosting was light. They provide free candles as well. Pickup for me was around 12pm and they will text you when it's ready. They also had some cakes ready for purchase when I came in. The shop is small and used to be the egghead store in Cupertino.

Absolutely adorable fluffy cake! If you like Asian sponge cakes with a light layer of whipped cream? This is it. They have adorable designs you can pick in with walk in or you can go to their website and order custom ones. I got this cake walk in for my dad's birthday and they grabbed a new one from the back quick and easy! They also asked if I need a candle and she was very nice! Small little bakery with no sit down so it's a grab and go in a small plaza but not bad at all for a unique cute Asian cake! Definitely will come here again for other birthdays!

Have tried both the sesame mochi bread w cream (14.68) and the golden chicken fluff bun (15.95) a few times now. Both are solid. The sesame mochi bread box contains five with a mix of chocolate cream and matcha cream while the chicken fluff bun box contains four. The sesame mochi bread tastes like a chewier, more moist cream puff that isn't too sweet -- liked both creams but liked the matcha one more. The chicken fluff bun reminds me of pork floss that's a little bit thinner and lighter. I like that the cream used for that was light and that the buns had plenty of fluff added.Prices are a bit more than I would normally pay, but the baked goods are good and worth the splurge every so often.

Small bakery with super cute designs and unique Asian flavors. I pre-ordered a 4 in cake (the Jellycat fruit cake) on their website under their same-day orders. Lots of items were still in stock, and when I visited in store, there were lots to choose from in the case as well. The cake is on the smaller side and cost $40, so this is definitely a splurge. But I would still get this for a special occasion as it's hard to get custom cakes and really cute designs at other local Asian bakeries. If you're looking for something more affordable, they also have box cakes that are around $12. When I picked up the cake, they gave very detailed instructions on transport, refrigeration, shelf-life, and how to best enjoy the cake. It's a good touch so that customers can enjoy the cakes at their best.My parents aren't huge fans of sweets, but they enjoyed this cake a lot, and so did I. The fruits were quite fresh, even underneath the syrup. Everything was also the perfect sweetness level. I like that there are more options in the area for birthdays and special occasions now - will try to revisit when I'm in the area.

Cute & chic Taiwanese(?) bakery. Came here recently to pickup a few items to try including a small cake for nephew's bday. Followed fellow yelpers' guide to check same-day item availability & order online (thanks y'all :-), and got: * 4" Mango Strawberry Naked Cake ($36.68) * Sea Salt Oreo Box Cake ($11.98) * Earl Grey Basque Cheesecake ($11.65) * 4-pack Golden Chicken Fluff Bun ($15.95) Our favorite was the Golden Chicken Fluff Bun - they use a soft chiffon cake for the bun, sandwiched by a light smooth custardy cream, and enrobed by their toasty crispy chicken floss & seaweed pieces. The flavor of the chicken floss & seaweed really came through, and the whole combination was complementary & light = easy to eat a few.Our second favorite was the mini Oreo cake (didn't measure it but estimate it to be approximately 3-3.5 square inches). There were Oreo chunks in the cream and overall it tasted Oreo-y as hoped. The mango strawberry cake is very instagrammable, and appreciate the work & precision put into it. Overall the cake was light & fluffy, and cream light, so overall flavor was light. Besides the light-simple flavor, everyone agreed the chunks of fruit used were very fresh! I believe they change the variety of fruit used in their cakes based on the season. It came in a chic transparent box with ribbon, and came with a single golden candle which was nice. Lastly, the Earl Grey Basque cheesecake had a nice Earl Grey flavor, slightly savory, somewhat creamy. It was not bad, we just didn't love it, and may try another flavor next time.Postscript: they have handmade mooncakes during the Mid-Autumn festival season. We didn't get any, but saw many orders awaiting pickup.

Not too sweet. I tried the box strawberry cake and it was so good! The cake was not dry or overly moist and the frosting had the perfect amount of sweetness. We loved their cake so much that we ordered our wedding cake through them! If there was one complaint, it would be that it's a little pricy. However, since it's not a place I would come too often, it's fine.

Want to splurge on some cute desserts? Horizon Bakery has you covered. You'll get your Chinese style, light and fluffy cakes and pastries here. They also offer ordering custom cakes in advance, as well (like the cute jellycat one). They aren't the cheapest but the quality is definitely there, making it a good value proposition. The aesthetics are very appealing which is especially important with desserts. And as usual, the best compliment you can get for an Asian dessert, it's not too sweet! The flavors are there but they aren't overwhelmed by sweetness. The staff is very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The location is good; it's not too big but it's cutesy and gets the job done. It's pleasant enough for you to enjoy a slide if you want to stay. Overall, if you're looking for Asian style desserts that are also visually appealing, this is good place.
