Honolulu BBQ

My go to spot for lunch. I get the chicken mini which comes with a decent portion of chicken, rice and macaroni salad. Everything is delicious and the prices are great! Even my picky toddler approved the food here ;) It seems that it's a family run business since I always see the same two people working here. Support local and get your food here!

I got the fish and rice plate with the macaroni salad. Overall, the food was just okay. Everything tasted extremely bland. The customer service however, was a 10 out of 10. The lady, taking my order was professional and kind. I sat and ate a small portion of my food before leaving. The restaurant itself is small, but located in a nice location. When I got home, I added seasoning and shredded carrots to my macaroni salad which made me consider giving this restaurant another try. If you didn't grow up, putting a lot of seasoning on your food and/or don't mind seasoning your own food, this place might be a winner for you!

In a desperate need to get dish for a potluck last minute, I reached out to Honolulu to see if they could accommodate an order of a mini chicken katsu pan and Mac salad pan. They did not make me feel bad at all for putting in an order so last minute (like some other places I know ) and they could've easily rejected my order due to the time, but they did it! AND it was ready to go on time with lots of katsu sauce :) It was packaged nicely and service was great. They do want you to pay beforehand, which I totally understand and reasonable, but just in case others want to know. We will definitely come back here for more large platter needs!

I like this place more than other spots around. The prices are very reasonable and the food is fresh. I like getting the bbq chicken bowl and the mixed combos. Portions are perfect too.

Not bad....i was craving food while i was in the area and went in here. I got the spam and egg musubi which was surprisingly cheap and tasted good. Also the spam and egg fried rice was on point. The older lady was soo sweet, didn't know any English but her daughter was there.

Very delicious chicken Katsu plate and very filling. Good price ($15)to get you full. I will definitely be trying other things on the menu soon!Nice and cleanFriendly and helpful staff

I happened to finish my job early, so I dropped by Honolulu BBQ in Marina Village. I asked about BBQ Chicken combo plates, and the lady suggested the "Healthy BBQ Chicken" plate w/ rice and macaroni salad. Uh-oh, healthy.....you know that means, .... boring and bland. Actually it was very good. The chicken was moist and tender, and easy to eat. The white rice was fresh and fluffy. The macaroni salad was fresh. It could of used a splash of BBQ sauce on the chicken. The nice lady at the counter was telling me you get a better deal if you come into the restaurant to order. Healthy BBQ Chicken plate w/ rice and macaroni salad is $12.95.

They take card. Have a bathroom, and a cool self order kisok. I got the katsu regular and it was generous. My bf said he can taste the sesame oil in mac salad. I went for lunch on a Friday not busy at all. Lots of parking

Very reasonable prices. Easily can get a full meal for $10-12. Nothing special or bad about this place. Just your typical Hawaiian BBQ joint. You'll get your money's worth.

I was in the area on a Saturday afternoon and wanted to try this place out. Upon walking inside a lady in the front just told me to go to the kiosk no greeting. I ordered the bbq mix plate w 2 masubis. Rice was pretty soggy. The meats was not as seasoned n flavorful. The mac salad was the worst of the meal, very watery n flavorless. Portion was smaller than most other Hawaiian bbq joints I been to. Definitely would not come back anytime in the future as there's way too many better options available that offer better service, taste n value.
