The remodel is still nice, but the crowd and staff are lowkey wack and it's definitely not worth $20 cover to get in an almost empty club with a dress code that is obviously not strictly enforced. There were people in slides, beanies, hats (when the dress code says no hats), sandals, heels, fancy club dresses, casual dress, etc. Why even have a dress code? The cashier checking Eventbrite tickets was rude AF. She had an attitude and was impatient when there wasn't even a line and the club was definitely empty. The bottle service was odd too, we had 2 bottles but each bottle came like 30 min after each other. The bottle girls were mute and did not display any kind of customer service. Definitely, the worst bottle service I've experienced. Not sure of the protocol for this, but my friend was drinking water in a cocktail cup and the security guard made her either chug it or give it up since it was about 1:45 AM. But it wasn't a cocktail! That was quite a confusing interaction. Anyway, it seems like Holy Cow was more poppin' before the remodel. I try to avoid this place at all costs. The only reason I came this particular night to support a homie.

I am 42 now. Idk why im writting this review. Maybe because i just saw someone get shammes for being fat.It reminded me of this place.Several times in my 20s i went to this location only to be denied because of how big my pants were. I was/still am a fat boy. The shaming was more hurtful.I literally went down 2 doors to the nearest bar/nightclub, they welcomed me with open arms. One patron even bought me a drink. She said she saw the whole thing. Didnt wanna give her business to the cow.Ive never been there since. I do enjoy cafe V next door. Those sandwiches are bomb!Im petty sure i wasnt the only fat boy discriminated at the holy cow.

Are they open anymore? The last time was not worth the cover charge and worst was customer service. Poor Poor Service... Too many negatives and maybe that's why they're closed. What happened? They need better management and staff...I guess they didn't make it through COVID-19.Would I return, Ummm, NO!

What happened to yay area? Apparently ppl in sf don't like hip hop anymore because the DJ here was freaking awesome and played a great mix of 90s, 2000s, and top 40 hip hop yet the club was empty. There were maybe 100 people there on a Sat night, which I thought was really sad because the music was amazing and great for dancing. My friend and I went here because we had first gone to raven but not feeling the vibe, she had suggested holy cow earlier and I put us on the guest list so we had free entry before 11. Drinks here are around $15 each. We stayed till closing and will definitely be back. Great place to come to dance & for hip hop!!

I went to this club a few weeks ago for the first time and showed up at 9:50 pm for the early entrance fee. They started letting people in at 10:30 pm, which was annoying. We only paid $5 for the entrance so not too bad.Cons: -DJ was horrible, his music kept disconnecting and he kept skipping through songs too fast! -Their website says there's a dress code but some people in sweats and sneakers were allowed inside? -It gets super hot and sweaty quickly inside, unless you stand by the entrance you will get some type of air ventilation Pros: -$5 if you go early and get in lineThis is not a nice club but that's what $5 gets you.

Looking for a hiphop club? This is the place . It reminds me of the cellular . Holy cow had great booty bumpn hiphop music ! Not sure if it's a particular night or if they play this type of music every night , but I love it ! We all loved it! We danced the night away :)My friends and I ( first timers ) decided to celebrate our friends bday here . Heard it was nicely remodeled and ratchet AF ! So yes we wanted to TU, the ratcheter the better ! Haha It was a packed Saturday night! Since we got bottle service ( to the right , the first table you see when you walk in ) we got there at 11:30pm and surprisingly there was no line/ wait . As you walked in, you noticed a podium with a stripper pole in the middle of the dance floor and the DJ stage to the left . As you walk down, there's a light background thing and bar to the right , dance floor in the middle and bathroom at the left, end . The club was pretty small and had a diverse crowd . As for the bottle service experience , it was okay. Prob one of the most chill ( good thing ) and lazy service ever . Getting our bottles took forever . fOREVER!! Our pregame drunkness started to fade and we all were waiting impatiently for our bottles. The bottle girls didn't even pass out the drinks after they poured it ! I would solely rate this 3/5 . If we had a better bottle service experience, I probably would give this place 5 stars .In general, I like this place ! I would come back :)

Just left this place, and there are a number of things contributing to the two star review. One bouncer in particular was extremely rude, had some type of superiority complex and would literally just shove people when walking through the crowd. The security staff that I encountered in general were very short with me when I inquired about bottle service. We actually already had bottle service for our party but initially we wanted to spend a little more, but after the attitude we received we decided not to waste our money. As the night progressed so did the piles of trash/beer bottles/ and empty cocktail glasses on the dance floor. The women's restroom ran out of toilet paper and seat covers by 12:00am and were never restocked. We arrived at 11:00pm and at that time the bathroom floor was already covered in toilet paper and water. The DJ was okay... If you were drunk enough you wouldn't notice the sudden tempo changes between songs and that he only played popular songs for a few seconds before switching to something that killed the mood. Sometimes there was even a couple seconds of silence before the next song would play... But hey, maybe he was new? The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the bottle service ladies, and the bartenders. They were professional, helpful, and cheerful. But still, I will not be returning.

Nice venue but drinks are twice what they cost at any other bar and the bartender put 95% mixer and 5% alcohol in my drink. Do not buy drinks here.

Club hopped in the area for the first time in SF, this club has some good ass Latin music to dance to! Can not go wrong with the music BUT the bartenders ... another story. My 2 friends and I were being blatantly ignored for regulars for more than half an hour even with eye contact and everything. Once we were attended to I decided not to tip since I already got a bad vibe. The bartender gave me back my receipt pointed at the tip line and said tip, I wrote a zero down (since I had just put an X) and he snatches the bill and shoos us away with his hand. So unless you're a regular ... good luck!! And tip good if you want some decent human interaction(:

Literally the worst club I've ever been. Don't wAste your 20$. It's so dead once you get past the curtains that are blocking the empty floor. D.J./music is wack. Everyone there is freshly 21 or got in w their fake I.D. Left in 30 mins. Never again!
