Amazing dining experience! Quick service, delicious ramen, and tasty takoyaki!I had the spicy miso and the takoyaki. Both were fantastic! I would definitely come back again and I can't recommend this place enough. The staff were also so nice and I really enjoyed the ambiance. This place really exceeded my expectations! Please check it out!

This is ramen for people who have only had Top Ramen in their house, and then fancy it up with their own veggies and proteins. That's fine, don't get me wrong, I've done that myself at home! But if I'm going out for ramen, i want knock-my-socks-off-all-the-flavors-and-umami-i-can-get-ramen. Not i-can-make-this-in-my-kitchen-ramen. (tho tbh i've made better ramen than this in my kitchen)I had the house ramen. The noodles were really bland and plain, and there really wasn't any bite to them. The broth was fine really... but it was missing a depth that good ramen usually has. The pork was, again, fine. There was a bit too much green onion for my taste, and the spinach was an interesting touch but not one I'd like to repeat. Really all I could smell from the ramen was the spinach. The bamboo shoots were... cold, which somewhat surprised me, not the end of the world, i could have used more of them tbh. I got mine with no spice (I did like how you can specify your spice level) and i feel like this might be the type of place where the spice carries the flavor, which to me is not what spice should do. If you have not a lot of flavor and all you have is spice... something is wrong. The gyoza was also fine, not great but fine. I did appreciate that it is pan-fried and not deep fried. The sake flight was pretty good. We also had edamame which like.. if you mess that up you've seriously done something wrong. yes, the edamame was fine.It also felt a little... impersonal. We were given a table by the staff, placed our order and paid on the app, staff brought out the food and... that was it. No checking in, no seeing how things were. The decor is fairly generic; you could retheme the restaurant into something else in an afternoon and you'd never know it had been a ramen shop. Also because you prepay, it also means that you generally pre-tip and for the service we got... which again was fine but not spectacular, i feel like I overtipped. At any rate... it was fine. It wasn't awful. It wasn't amazing. It was fine. I most likely won't make an effort to go back. If i'm with others who want to go, I'll go and not raise a fuss, but I'll definitely recommend some better ramen places around the area instead.

Hinodeya Ramen in San Jose absolutely deserves a glowing 5-star review! From the moment you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. Their broth is rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced--truly the star of the show. The noodles are cooked to perfection with just the right chewiness, and the toppings are always fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The Hinodeya Deluxe Ramen is a must-try, with its generous portions of chashu, egg, and seaweed blending seamlessly with the umami-packed broth. Their appetizers, like the karaage and gyoza, are equally impressive and make the perfect start to the meal.On top of the outstanding food, the service is exceptional. The staff are friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about delivering a great experience. Whether you're a ramen enthusiast or trying it for the first time, Hinodeya Ramen in San Jose will leave you craving more. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic and delicious ramen!

Food was decent with possibility to up their game for the bowls. Ramen was good but the broth was little salty. Service was good . Casual ambiance and can get crowded during the week.

I've been to Hinodeya on a few occasions and it's always been quite pleasant. Around lunchtime, it isn't too crowded. I've been able to walk-in and get seated immediately. You order through the QR code at the table, and they bring the food to you when it's ready. My favorite is the butter corn ramen. Very comforting on a cold day! Would definitely come back again.

3.5I was excited to try the Sukiyaki ramen since I hadn't seen that on a menu before. It was just ok and I don't know if the broth had the richness I'm used to. I'll go back and try a different ramen.

My friends and I decided to eat some ramen on a cold, gloomy day. I've been to the Campbell location before and remembered it was good. There is only street parking or a nearby garage next to San Pedro Square. I ordered the Spicy Miso Butter Corn ramen and added spice. I don't remember which level of spice, but I think 3? It costs extra if you want added spice btw. The spice level I got wasn't spicy to me. The ramen was good and flavorful though. It was a pretty good bowl of ramen. I would come back to try their other bowls of ramen.

My bowl of ramen was OK. I wouldn't call it great, but it's not bad, so it's OK.Spicy Miso Ramen:The broth was rich but it was close to being too salty. Although I got the spicy miso ramen, it wasn't overwhelmingly spicy (think Flaming Hot Cheetos after 10 chips). As for the noodles, they were closer to the soft side and weren't as chewy as I'd like them to be. The serving size was adequate as I left not feeling too full but had room for dessert. (3.5/5)Service:We scanned a QR code to order (party of 6) and the food was out in a time that's reasonable for 6 people. Service was attentive when needed but otherwise they did not come up to us.Ambiance:The space is low-lit and small, so expect noise levels to be high. If you're going with a larger party, the seating can be awkward (we were placed in the middle of the restaurant). Otherwise, seating is along the walls and seems like the ideal party size would be 4 people.I wouldn't go out of my way for this ramen, but I wouldn't be upset to have it again.

I came with a group of coworkers on Wednesday for lunch. There were 6 of us in total and we had no issues being seated when we arrived at noon. We walked from our office, but there is either metered street parking or a parking garage nearby with free 90-minute parking. Upon being seated, you scan the QR code at the table and can order/pay individually via the phone. I ordered the Aburi Cheese Spicy Miso Ramen with Level 3 spice ($21.50). I also ordered a sparkling water ($4) - Perrier. Note, you do need to pay for extra spice. I had to pay an extra $1.50 for Level 3 and I liked that level of spice. The bowl comes out piping hot, the noodles are nice and chewy, and the broth is extremely rich and flavorful. I only wish they gave a full egg rather than just half.Service is non-existent except for when they first bring your bowl of ramen. That doesn't bother me as I like to be left alone when eating. The restaurant is clean and fills up quickly during the lunch rush.

Amazing dashi ramen! Was pleasantly surprised to find out there's a location closer to home. Parking tip: the Market & San Pedro garage has free parking for the first 90 minutes! It's a short walk to the restaurant (within the same block). The menu is QR on the table and you order on your device as well. We didn't get to interact with the staff too much. The restaurant is nice and open inside with plenty of tables. Minimally decorated but still has nice touches of Japanese decor.Would recommend :)We got 3 appetizers to share: edamame, kaarage, and fried oysters. I wish the fried oysters were more flavorful but they're definitely juicy and fresh. Kaarage were good, crispy outside moist inside. Edamame was up to standard as well.We both have had Hinodeya before so I'm glad that this visit/location met our expectations! We both got the House ramen with all the toppings. The dashi broth was wonderfully flavorful and so so great on a cold rainy day. Highly recommend the tabera - chili garlic crisp! It adds very nice texture and flavors to your bites. Not too spicy either, about mild-medium level.
