If you're looking for the best poke experience in San Leandro, Hawaiian Poke Bowl is the place to go! These folks really know about portions--no skimping here like at other spots! The fresh, high-quality ingredients make every bowl a delight and protein packed. Inside there's always plenty of seating and it's very comfortable and well spaced out, and plus the staff is super nice. They've got an efficient system that keeps the line moving quickly, so you won't be waiting long. Hands down, the best poke restaurant in San Leandro!

We drove 15 minutes specifically to arrive 15 minutes before closing because we were craving some poke for dinner. The moment we stepped in, the employee at the counter immediately said, "SORRY, WE'RE CLOSED" with a dismissive attitude and an expression that felt like "Why are you here before closing?" This location has always been a go-to spot for my partner and me when we meet up before he heads back to San Diego. Naturally, my partner asked, "Did you close early today?" and the employee curtly replied, "WE ARE CLOSED ALREADY." As someone who has worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry, I understand how long shifts can be exhausting. However, there's a certain level of professionalism and courtesy that's expected, no matter the circumstances. Unfortunately, the rude and unwelcoming demeanor we experienced tonight was disappointing and unnecessary. ‍I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as it left such a sour impression that we won't be returning anytime soon. It's unfortunate because we've always loved this place with usually accommodating staff members (maybe the night shift staff are exhaustedt and tiredt in many ways). Regardless, that kind of energy just doesn't make anyone feel welcome. So, later, fam. May y'all never get that same experience elsewhere!

I went out of my way to visit this place, only to find they had decided to close 10 minutes early. There were even two customers paying when I arrived. When I approached the front, the lady working there curtly said, "We're closed," in a very rude tone. When I politely asked why they were closing early, she repeated the same phrase with even more attitude. This was disappointing, as I used to recommend this place with pride. It wouldn't have been a big deal for them to make one more bowl, but what really stood out was the lack of basic customer service. A little kindness goes a long way, and this experience left me feeling unwelcome.

I ordered the bowl with no rice and spring mix. Lots of edamame, no spring mix, a little Romain lettuce. The mango was a purée not fresh The service was fast, the price a little high. The place was almost empty besides a little family and angry takeout customer.Not sure if I'll be back.

I come here ALL the time but the last time I was here really ticked me off.It's the day after a holiday (07/05), so the store would like to open later. That is totally okay with me. I decide to wait patiently in the car for opening. But I come back at the posted open time (11:30am) to attempt to open the door... it's still locked? The worker angrily stalked to the door, rips the sign off and crosses off the original time and writes a new open time, slaps it back on the wall, and aggressively points at it! HUUUH?!?!?!? Miss girly pop why tf are you so mad for???? At that point I just decide to stand at the door and wait, as there are others waiting for open as well and at this point, I just want my food!I'm very shocked, sad, and disappointed with this last visit. The food is great, but wooooooow I was so taken back with how rude this staff member was.You can have good days and bad days but that was unnecessarily rude for no reason. She could have easily opened the door and kindly stated "I'm sorry we are running behind, please be patient as our new anticipated open time is 11:40am," fixed the sign, and boom. BETTER and professional communication! There is lots of learn, grasshopper.NGL I'd come back because I like their food, BUT DO BETTER!!! I'm too loyal for this attitude.

I've been here a few times. I've had their poke with tuna and spicy tuna. I've also had their veggie poke bowl. Sometime I just crave all the fresh veggies without the fish. This place gives you pretty good portions. Not my favorite poke place, but gets the job done when I'm craving poke. However, they do add a lot of sauce. So much that the bottom of your bowl is drenched in sauce. I recommend to ask for light sauce.

Hawaiian Poke Bowl is my go to poke spot in the area for a few reasons. 1- They load up on the ingredients, including the fish! I always get a medium bowl with 3 proteins, and it is always massive! I can never finish without getting a massive food coma and recently even started saving half for the next day because it is just that much.2- They have all my fave proteins - salmon, spicy scallop, and yellowtail! Their sauces are not the best or can be overpowering, but I usually just go with spicy mayo and it works out fine and satisfies my poke craving.3- They don't charge an arm and a leg for literally every single topping like some other places. You don't even need to pay extra for avocado! It's like the best bang for your buck considering the portion size too.

I've always enjoyed this poke spot and would come frequently a few years back, but today's experience was a letdown. The hamachi and mango that I had in my bowl were spoiled. It made the whole bowl taste sour and I had to toss it out. It was a disappointing since I feel like the last couple of times I've visited, the quality of ingredients have been going downhill. Please make sure your ingredients are fresh before serving to costumers, especially raw fish!
