More yummy news for this amazing little Chinese take out place. Today We started out with potstickers for the first time mmmm mmm mmm,,,, so good! We were Expecting the usual size. Well, There were 6 really big ones , chock full of yummy goodness. I Could actually taste the pork, garlic and ginger in the filling ! The first dish we ordered was the hong kong pan fried noodles , it is our favorite go to dish. It did not disappoint ! It was the best version we have ever had. The key to this dish is having Enough of Flavorful sauce to let the crispy noodles absorb the flavors ! It was perfect! There was No skimping on the sauce! And It was topped off with so many unexpected fresh veggies ... broccoli, celery, mushrooms, snow peas and tons of proteins ....I was truly wowed! Bbq pork, chicken and shrimp ... amazing ! And it was delicious... i can't seem to stop saying that!We had no room to eat the second Dish we ordered . So it will be tonight's dinner ! chicken and mixed veggies ... smelled soooo good! It Had lots of the same fresh veggies as above , and in addition bok choy , zucchini and carrots . We have honestly had take out at least 6 times in the last month . Every dish is a winner. I forgot to mention one if the dishes , the amazing honey coated sesame chicken!!!! somehow it stays totally crisp and yummy even after being refrigerated and warmed up in my add airfryer! The only disappointment is it's hard to figure out what the most recent menu is...and certain items are no longer available... like hot and dour soup and BBQ roast pork snd veggies . Hopefully they have internet and can read these reviews and will post a recent menu ! FYI, no trouble parking ! There are Spots Usually right in front and if not there is shopping center on Potrero right next door!!!!

Food quality is consist and delicious. Staffs are so friendly. Only take out. This place is a hidden gem of restaurant in El Cerrito.

Lori L's review brought this restaurant to my attention. Like her, I had never noticed it as I have driven by over the years. Like Lori, I love mu shu pork. I'm not as fond of egg rolls as she is. I bookmarked it and decided to call for mu sh pork to have for dinner tonight. I called and ordered it for pickup at 6:00. Before I left I prepared some asparagus so they would be ready to cook when I got home and then I drove down to Happy Garden. Thanks to Lori's directions it was easy to find and I was able to park in front. I walked in and rang the bell on the table that serves as the counter and the man who I assume is the owner walked out from the back w/ a bag. He confirmed that my order was mu shu pork. He put a plastic fork wrapped in napkins in the bag. Had I been paying closer attention I would have declined that because I didn't need either the fork or napkins. The fork went into the trash immediately because it wasn't recyclable, which is a waste and a shame.I steamed the asparagus and when they were ready I put out plates for the mu shu, a small one to fill the pancakes, which, as Lori observed, were not in foil. Instead, the six of them were loosely contained in a large single use clear plastic bag which I will reuse. The larger plate was for the asparagus and for the finished mu shu as I ate them. There was a small container of hoisin sauce. I spread some on each pancake before filling it. I thought the mu shu was good and I finished it, using 5 of the 6 pancakes, but I like what Chef's makes better and will return there the next time I have a hankering for it. Lori tells me Happy Garden makes great potstickers and several other dishes she loves, so I may order something else in the future, like the Hong Kong Pan Fried Noodles she raved about tonight, along w/ the potstickers.

Best AUTHENTIC CHINESE food I had in along time. Everything was fresh and still hot by the time I got home.

I've ordered a lot of food here but the standouts include garlic eggplant, Mongolian beef, cashew chicken, sweet and sour pork (the really red stuff - so good), chow fun, and their combo fried rice! Lots of flavor, always served steaming hot, and Texas portions! It's pick-up only but order is ready within 15 minutes. Awesome Chinese food, good service, and fast!

Came in on a Friday evening after finishing some business nearby. There were a few people waiting in the lobby area for their food. Being that it was my first time, I asked them how the food was and they looked at me like I was insane my takeaway was to absolutely try it. Unfortunately for me, they were super busy and weren't taking walk in orders. I was turned away but understandably. I called about an hour later because I really wanted Chinese food and the people in the lobby said I wouldn't be disappointed. I was NOT! Ordered 5-6 items, which were ready in less than 30 minutes. Orange chicken and the chicken and green beans were my favorite. So so good! This is definitely going to be my new go to spot.

we have been customers of happy garden since it's arrival to Albuquerque or at least the Tramway and Central location big orders, small price great food. We have bonus slightly that there. I think they're it's not the same family and they might've maybe sold it. I don't know but prices went up quite a bit and but the food is still good. It was disappointing.

Fast and really good Hunan style Chinese food. One chef that's making your order once you place it... not food sitting under warming lights.
