A-FREAKING-MAZING.Line forms before opening, this place is absolutely loved by both locals and adventurers. We were the adventurers in the area for another reason and decided to stop based on reviews and menu. Place did not disappoint. We ordered appetizers, drinks and entrees. Everything was fantastic. Their house made beer batter is perfect on both the fried artichoke hearts and prawns w/chips. The fried picked are a flat pickle, not a spear which was interesting but good too. The whole dungeness crab was phenomenal, that old bay drawn butter was like crack, we were dunking everything in it. Only downside was they were out of the blonde beer we really wanted to try. Cannot wait to go back!

I love the Fishermam's stew. The combination of spices was flawless. The amount of protein was quite generous.Ceviche was a combination of shrimp and fish, tasted so refreshing and delicious.Fosh and chips were good too... but nothing extraordinary.Every seafood that was used for our order tasted fresh, as expected. And I feel the cost was reasonable.

I was on a business trip and stopped at the local brewery and restaurant as I passed through town to my location. Half Moon Bay Brewing didn't disappoint and I'm elated to have given my business to this local stop.We were greeted and seated right upon entering the outdoor patio seating area and were sat with a wonderful outdoor view of the bay. It was a beautiful view from anywhere on the patio on such a perfect weather day. Our waiter was prompt and always had a smile on his face. I started with a Half Moon Bay IPA which was one of the best IPA's I'd had in a while. It was a hazy with some wonderful flavor. I ordered the fresh fish tacos and my colleague ordered the seared Ahi tuna. Both dishes were tasty. I usually don't order fish tacos, but it stayed fresh on the menu and they were spot on. Delicious! This is a great local spot with fairly reasonable prices. The beer, from what I tasted, was delicious. I would recommend this as a stop if you work your way through town. Friendly atmosphere and tasty food and drink. And the view was amazing, too!

Hadn't done anything all weekend, like lazy slobs lol. Thought we'd try to make something of the end by heading over the hill to HMB. It was a beautiful though brisk day. Decided to try the brewery, really glad we did. The wait was accurately called and short, seated with a smile, waiter was very pleasant, food was hot, not greasy, delicious, and served with a smile. Would return, and have - the following weekend lol. GOBHERE! Delicious cocktails, delicious food, wonderful staff :-)

Cute little restaurant close by to the waters in Half Moon Bay. There are plenty of seats inside and outside the establishment.Parking was easy to find in their private lot and located just behind the establishment. There is ample space there. There is also street parking if the parking lot should get full. Food: We ordered the calamari, Fresh Seasonal Oysters, and New England Clam Chowder in a bread bowl. The calamari was crispy, fresh, and delicious. The sauces it came with (traditional marinara and the tartar sauce were good as well. The clam chowder was small, but tasty with a lot of ingredients inside. The bread for the chowder was crispy on the top part.Service: Not sure if it was an off-day because it was during the mid-afternoon during the middle of the week, but it was quite slow and not as attentive than we would have liked- we kept asking for water refills!

We were waitlisted for appox. 30 mins on a beautiful and sunny Sunday afternoon, so we opted for the first available, which was outdoors. I do wish the umbrellas could swivel or the plexiglass has shades,, because the sun was hitting the left side of my face through the glass with aggression. We got 2 beers each, grilled artichokes, and the crispy sampler. Everything was amazing! I oved the calamari, and nothing tasted like old oil, which is a peeve of mine for fried foods. Def give HMB Brewing a try if you're in the area. Service was friendly as well.

HMB Brewing Co is one of our favorite places to go to in Half Moon Bay. The place is big, so we always seem to walk in and get seating right away. The vibe is great, servers are friendly and I just really enjoy sitting outside watching the view and people walk by. It's also very kid friendly. The food is great, we love seafood so I usually go for the crab louie, the clam chowder, crab sandwich, fish tacos, calamari, fries and more. The last time I went, I ordered a salad and added the blackened fish as a protein on top and there was so much of it. I love the food here. We come here quite often, as HMB is one of our favorite drives to take out of the city. This will always be in my top 10 brewery to go to.

We originally aimed for Barbara's FishTrap. But, they had a extremely long line and was closed for dining to change their frying oil. Sad. Hubby said he was hungry and we should try this spot. Right across the street. Glad we did. The food was so yummy! Spacious restaurant and friendly attentive staff. There's outdoor seatings if you have furbabies. I love that. Definitely bringing my Charlie(doggo) when Summer is here.

The joy of turning 21 during the pandemic was interesting. During that time, restaurants and bars were scarce, yet everyone wanted me to experience the fun of finally being legal. My Pop took me here back then for a nice meal, view, and cocktail. After finding ourselves in Half Moon Bay the other day, it was only fitting to pay a visit! My family of three came to Half Moon Bay Brewing Company mid-afternoon on a weekend. We managed to score a seat overlooking the bay thanks to the fantastic hostesses. It was perfect timing as a vast line formed behind us. This hot spot is where tourists and locals gather for food and drinks. The draw for us was the giant outdoor patio, which was spacious, breezy, and dog-friendly. There's also an inside section, but we've never dined there. We appreciated all our interactions with staff--we were checked on, had our dishes bussed almost instantly, and had great back-and-forth convos. We loved the staff coming by to say hi to my pup, too!My family and I started by sharing Artichoke Hearts and Garlic Fries. The fries were crispy and soft, with enough garlic to not overpower. The artichoke was a new dish to me; it was crunchy on the outside but juicy inside. I had the Blackened Fish Sandwich with Coleslaw. The fish was mild, but oh my, it had a kick! I wish there were more aioli as well to balance it. My family enjoyed their dishes--a sandwich and salad. The portions were well-sized, and we all took our food to go. For those going through Half Moon Bay and looking for a scenic restaurant--I suggest Half Moon Bay Brewing Company. It's a casual spot serving popular seafood and other American fare. Find them off Capistrano Road with a vast free private parking lot out front!
