My first time experiencing Gregory's Gourmet Desserts was a pleasant one. I like and respect his process. One party enters at a time, chooses their treats, and exits. I was a party of one so I was able to take my time to choose the goodies I wanted. I chose Gregory's signature peach cobbler, a cheese cake, and a chocolate chip cookie for my drive home. The desserts were delicious. Oakland needs more places like Gregory's, and less like Ediths Pies,( which is in the same neighborhood, but over priced and not as good). I wish Gregory great success. I had high hopes when coming, as I saw this bakery on my Instagram reels. I was met with a line and a bakery that only allows one group at a time. It took awhile until it was my turn, so be prepared to wait. The man that got our items was quite nice. We got the sweet potato, carrot cake, and peach cobbler cheesecake. For the cheesecake, eat it asap or keep it refrigerated, because it WILL melt! We ate our stuff a few hours after purchasing, so it may have affected the original taste but here is what we thought.Note : most of us have a "traditional" Asian palate The carrot cake and sweet potato cake were quite nice, but the sweet potato cake didn't taste like much. The two had quite a lot of frosting which were a little too sweet for us, but the layers of cake were thick which made up for it. The peach cobbler cheesecake was good, and the topping was perfectly seasoned and sweet. The cheesecake crust was also made very nicely.Unfortunately, (with our Asian palates) it was too sweet for us. So if you prefer desserts on the lighter side, I wouldn't recommend. Otherwise, it was a great stop for a reasonable price.

I heard of Gregory!s from instagram and had to give them a try. When I drove there, I knew I found the place as it had a line 8 people deep. It's a tiny establishment able to fit two customers at a time. The lady and gentleman working there were friendly and helpful. I got the sweet potato cake and was torn on which cheesecake to try. The gentleman said the apple strudel cheesecake started it all and I was sold. Both were delicious:) I also got a dozen and a half cookies ranging from chocolate chip to oatmeal raisin to snickerdoodle to bring back to my wife and friends in Santa Rosa. I'll definitely be back :)

Truly is Oakland's best kept secret. You may walk right past this delicious bakery as it is located behind a gate, down some stairs, and behind another door. Recently it has been growing in popularity so there may be a line, especially on weekends. They only allow one party in at a time, and it's like walking into your own personal bakery closet ha! Small, cute, and clean. The staff is friendly and efficient. The key lime is delicious though I personally like mine with a touch more lime. The cheesecake is phenomenal. They also do to go orders way past the time their store front closes.

Stopped by this morning before the line started forming. Of course, we always take forever when we order stuff so by the time we left there was 5 people waiting. My bad lol. Great customer service by the lady helping us today. She was so funny and didn't rush us out the store. Food is really good. Anybody who says the food is overly sweet must have some taste buds missing. . Sweetness is perfect. Never had a pecan pie like the ones served here. Not overly sweet at all. Key lime pie 5 stars love the crust. Cookies cooked perfectly. I hate cookies that aren't cooked thru in the middle, Gregory's cooked just right. Thank you for the great customer service and good food. We will be back.

I needed cookies for a work event and Monica went above and beyond to accommodate our order! Gregory's is consistently delicious. I love the red velvet cake, the key lime pie, and the croissants! It's such a sweet and homey hidden treasure!

If heaven has a flavor, Gregory's Gourmet Bakery has bottled it and baked it into their peach cobbler and lemon bars. Let me tell you, this is not just dessert--it's an otherworldly experience. The peach cobbler? Oh, it's a masterpiece. Each bite is like the juiciest, most perfectly ripened peach was kissed by angels and tucked into a buttery, golden crust. The cinnamon-sugar topping? It had the audacity to be both crisp and melt-in-your-mouth soft at the same time. Honestly, I had to close my eyes to savor it fully because it was a spiritual moment. And don't even get me started on the lemon bars. Tangy, sweet, and utterly divine, they're a balance of bold citrus zest and a buttery shortbread crust that somehow feels like sunshine on your tongue. They didn't just melt in my mouth; they orchestrated a full symphony of flavor that left me speechless (and I never stop talking about dessert).Gregory's isn't just a bakery it's a temple of taste, a church of confection, a shrine to sweets. If you haven't been yet, what are you even doing with your life? Go. Right now. Your taste buds deserve this kind of happiness.

I stumbled upon this place on my first visit to Oakland. I had heard about it but on this day I literally walked on it and hollered here's the place. The inside in very small but organized. You let them know what you want and it's prepared for you. Because of the size you kinda can have two at a time come in but it's not a long wait unless you're in the crowd but it's so worth it. I purchased an orange cranberry scone and the best eight it up pound cake slice! I couldn't make it to my hotel before it was devoured and I went back for another slice! If I knew how to package an entire cake and carry it on the plane I would. Whenever I visit Oakland, this place is a must for me. I can't wait to come back.

5* for the Key Lime Pie, 3* for the peach cobbler, 5* ease of ordering and pickup. If you know how to bake your own at home, the prices may seem a bit steep. I ordered these because we were flying in from out of town and baking was not on our agenda. The consensus among five adult was that the peach was too syrupy and sweet. Everyone loved the Keylime pie unequivocally. That was just our take. I don't know, you may love the peach, but ours was way too runny. Staff was incredibly efficient and wonderful.I would totally order from them again ! Just not the peach cobbler
