No natural lighting? Check! Abundance of liquors? Check! All kinds of household goods? Check! Not much can be said about this corner store expect that it delivers when you're craving some highly processed foods. No judgement. P.S. They'll charge you 50 cents if your purchase is under $10 on a credit card.

This is a great neighborhood grocery store for non-perishable goods. Clean, friendly, laid back, best prices in the hood. Several of the household cleaning products are cheaper here or same price as Amazon. So, if you're within 3 blocks, check it out. Hard to see downstairs so look for the sign. Beer, wine and liquor are also cheaper than other small stores and nearly what you get at many grocery stores. I'm very happy to live 1/2 block away.

Gourmet Market it may be, i was focused on the liquor and i wasn't disappointed. certainly lends me creed when i walk into a grocery store and exit with alcohol. the alternative is entering a liquor store, exiting with same in a brown bag. people will think there's another alkie.reminiscient of a line in casablanca "i'm shocked, shocked, that gambling occurs here" uttered by the captain as he pockets his winnings.tight organized store. pricing seem reasonable for beers, average selection. most items priced. polite, courteous, service. beer scanned, not randomly priced.brew: lagunitas maximus IPA(4.49) 8.2%-strong, smooth brew.on draught:-parking difficult. parked in red zone.took a chance few meter people worked saturdays.-literally dashed in and out.

Love that this is 1 block from my apt also it's just 2 blocks from the lake. GREAT wine selection for such a small corner store. They have all of the basics one would need, toilet paper, tampons, wine, frozen pizza, BBQ sauce, milk, mens t-shirts. They are also really kind. Seriously to those of you writing reviews about the lack of food selection or beer selection. Uh this is a corner store. Go to Whole Foods if you are looking for that stuff. OR if it's something you use on the regular - ask! They are normally happy to start carrying what the neighbors request! How can you go wrong with that?

Convenient mini market and liquor store of you live in the area and need to pick something up on your way home. Or Advil extra strength in the morning. Totally easy! Prices are higher on market items, true, but think of how much more time it'd take to go to WF or SM and stand in line there at 6pm just for BBQ sauce...Employees are awesome - always nice and ask how the day went. They rotate stock in bottles and recommend new wines to me :)

What's in a name? Ok so it's not a "gourmet" eatery. It's a mini mart/ liquor store. A very clean, well lit, upscale mini mart. Hence the idea for the name I assume. I've been meaning to right a review about Gourmet Market because I truly adore this little store. To begin with, they have an awesome selection of wines handsomely displayed to the left of the entrance. The wine bottles almost seem as if they were an intended part of the decor of the store. They also have a decent amount of food items, they even carry nonfat milk and soy milk which is rare in a store of their size. They have fresh produce, the quality is consistently good. I know I can always buy an avocado or head of garlic if I need. Also if you need socks, a razor, laundry detergent, or puppy food they have it all.One of the best things about Gourmet Market for dog lovers like me is you are welcome to bring Fido into the store with, leash or not. My dog has been given baggies of treats on several occasions and when I asked, they began carrying puppy chow for me. (They also now carry a certain type of candy I requested). All of these great things aside. Why I finally wrote the review is because of todays visit. I needed cash from my Atm so I made a purchase and asked for 5$ back. The cashier and I were chatting and I guess I never got the cash. Big oops. Bigger oops was not realizing it for 3 hours. So I went in and told him what I thought happened and asked if he was over at the end of the day to remember me. He simply said no problem, I believe you- here's your 5$. Wow. I really felt like an appreciated frequent customer at that moment.I also wanted to say that I really appreciate Steve. I'm not sure what his roll in the business is other than cashier but he's my and especially my puppy's favorite employee. Thank you Steve for always making Madison's tail wag!

This place likely does itself no favors saying it's gourmet. They're a liquor store, essentially, with the attendant random dusty shelves of various food products with yellowed boxes. The signs out front claim they have meat and produce but unless you count some sad, sad tomatoes, a head of iceberg lettuce, and some sausage, I'd have to disagree.I didn't feel scared here though. Just, with Nature's Best nearby, why go here?

It's creepy when your apps stalk you, but I didn't "recently try" this place; I first lived in this neighbourhood back when *MapQuest* was brand new in Ye Olde Dayse of 2005 :) This store and the health food store up the block both way predate that. I know everyone moving into places now probably just let out on Airbnb *clones* because the aforementioned site is one front of many for a problem of apartments posing as hotels all owned by companies that own from here to Greece--and then everyone just blames Asians like they do for anything ever despite where the problem is actually coming from--is expecting 59$/lb raw collard green salad with gluten-free chicken meat cooked in avocado flavoured artisan sourdough over unseasoned 7$/grain quinoa made with non-GMO water and a side of sliced, unseasoned avocado, but look, how many unique corner liquor store names are possible if they have to be short enough for a name but also contain "convenience" or "liquor"? This place has been this way long before hyperinflation of land value and resultant 3000$/mo bunk bed crowd. The people that work here, super chilled out, super honest, and stuff's still a fair price for this day and age at a corner store in the US. You're not getting organic salt here, and you're not gonna. Whole Foods is over past the 7-11 at the lake. But if you're out of disposable razors or paper towels or you read one of the local English newspapers or something, this is a good, solid, enduring place to go as it has been since before I had ever been in this neighbourhood. Their hours became earlier closing back during SIP and remain to close at about 8P.M. most days, it seems. So if you don't wanna leave the block or go to the health food store, make sure you've gotten it by then (and may close earlier on weekend, not sure) It's a convenience store and a solid one. I definitely recommend.
