Same great tasting gelato at relatively similar pricing about a year ago. Still no samples which is absurd for a gelateria, so try at your own risk!We decided to come visit again after a hiatus from Gelato Classico and were welcomed with a case full of flavors, although some of our favorites were not represented (pistachio). Not much has changed since the last time we visited - it would seem the same social distancing and pandemic practices are still in full effect. There is no indoor seating nor sampling of flavors and staff all wear masks (personally this does not bother me and I welcome a germ free environment where my food is prepared). Their menu is still extensive which includes espresso infused drinks, classic gelato, and sundaes. They also seem to be offering specials on weekdays during the fall/winter (although the discounts aren't much). As we had finished dinner not too long ago, we were simply looking for a dessert to top off the night - a scoop of gelato fit the bill! Due to the fact that there was still no sampling available, it took us all a long while before we made our choices (most of us just got "safe" flavors in fear of not liking what we got). I decided on the Bavarian mint on a waffle cone and although it looked incredibly sad as it was handed to me due to its flat profile, it tasted great! It was melting pretty quick so the napkins helped as I slurped up my treat with haste. As I was devouring my treat, I noticed all the indications of cost reduction and revenue optimization. The absence of sampling of flavors, minimal dine in accommodations, reduced staff, smaller than average cone/scoop sizes, and unexpectedly high priced add-ons like their wafers (just to name a few) give off a sense of being nickeled and dimed as a customer and it just leaves a bad taste despite the delicious goods. The service was decent at best with little to no enthusiasm on a Friday evening so that didn't win them any points in my book. It's a shame that there aren't more gelaterias around this part of the Bay Area that can compare and compete as I think it could push for a better product for the communities served here. Gelato Classico is still a fine place to satisfy that gelato craving but there are definitely areas of improvement to keep them relevant.Overall, Gelato Classico has the product to be great but some elements of their business model may need to evolve to hit that mark. It remains a solid place to get gelato and will certainly satisfy your sweet tooth; I think smoothing out some of the rough edges will elevate this shop to be the cream of the crop.

I took my niece and nephew here because they wanted ice cream. The place is small and it was clean. The worker there was super patient and nice, I say this because my niece and nephew were kinda wilding out. The ice cream was good and the atmosphere was good. The pricing is a little steep, especially for a single scoop. Overall it was a good experience.

Italian Classico Gelato is a staple of Fremont. We have been coming here for more than two decades. And it's always a favorite for us. They changed owners about 6 years ago but the quality has not changed at all.We like to keep this little gem of Fremont a secret but love for this establishment to continue to thrive.Come and try this place out for yourself you won't be disappointed.

This place is great! I came with a relatively large group and the employee took such great care of us one by one! This place offer so many flavors! I got a small cup of tiramisu and half s'mores. Some other noteworthy flavors were crème brûlée, cappuccino, and strawberry cheesecake. They even have ginger, which definitely sounds like an interesting flavor!

Gelato Classico Italian Ice Cream has been here literally for decades. The shop's aged elegance shows, a snapshot of a bygone era. A single Latina manager scoops the era of Italian treat: Italian soda, shakes, ice cream cones, frappes, mangonadas, et al. Licks: pistachio & tiramisu, 2 scoops in cup (6.25)-lst was recommended, 2d my choice of italian desserts.-dense, packed full of nutty flavors, delicate tiramisu textures. Small spoon helps to savor all flavors slowly.-minimal sugar prescence.-other flavors had either bold lychee taste at finish or faint tease of hazelnut...*too busy talking, didn't take pictures inside-no seats.Outside just a few benches**definitely returning to try some specialty treats24 flavors gelato presently with more to come.

I was excited to see a gelato place in Fremont but boy was it a disappointment... half the tubs were empty, coffee gelato was powdery, pistachio was icy and not smooth at all. Also no samples so I couldn't have any idea which flavor is good. Also noticed a sign asking to pay for extra spoons if you got more than 2 spoons Pros: noneCons: look above^ Ambiance: 3/5Taste: 1/5Value: 1/5Service: 3/5

Service was great. But ice cream / Gelato were not as good as we expected. We tried vanilla, cookie & cream, mink chocolate, banana, rum and raisin, the basic flavors are find but the rum and raisin was really dissatisfying. However, I must say that the lady who served us were really nice and kind. Maybe I'll visit again but for now, I'll continue to look for a nice Gelato spot.

I've come here multiple times since I was a little kid and just wanted to pick up a pint of my old favorite. It says open at 12:00pm and the lady at the counter was still prepping the gelato and the doors were locked by 12:35pm. We tried to ask if the hours changed but the lady yelled something then ignored us the rest of the time so we had to head home empty handed. I know this place is good so it sucks to give it a 1 but that was a waste of time.

I've been living in Fremont and never knew that there is a gelato place here. It's a very rainy day today and probably no one comes by there because of it I think, but I decided to come here to try gelato. Not really going to be bothered by the design of this place since most ice cream shops are like that, however, the taste of the gelato matters.I really love the selections of gelatos and how they're displayed. It reminds me of going to Vegas and seeing gelatos being displayed in a way that they take up like 150% of the containers. I want to get Tiramisu since it's my favorite dessert. It tastes really good and got a small size since I just ate at a restaurant.I am hoping that there are more gelato areas around the Fremont area and would to come back here again to try other flavors!

Fantastic gelato! My daughter just returned from Italy and says Gelato Classico in Fremont, CA is just as good as the gelato in Italy. No joke. She's particular about her gelato, too! There was a group of us and we ordered 4 different flavors- mint chip, espresso, coconut macadamia, and tiramisu. All fabulous! Support local businesses and check out Gelato Classico asap! Lovely atmosphere & attention from the owner. I heard their coffees are good as well.
