Fuso Italian Restaurant

It's been a couple years since I've been to Fuso. In the past my friend called it the healthy Italian place. I guess because the taste is generally lighter/less oily than other Italian places (say Olive Garden). It's right in downtown Vacaville. They have plenty of seating including some outdoor patio seating. For parking I recommend parking at the library lot and walking over. We ordered a mojito, Moscow mule, bacon wrapped shrimp, the lobster ravioli, the filet tips and wild mushroom fettuccine, the affogato, and the creme brûlée. The total before tip came out to $113. Which for all that food really isn't bad. They also gave complimentary bread and butter. The drinks were on point. They tasted exactly as you'd expect. The bacon wrapped shrimp came with a garlic ginger sauce. Honestly I'd skip it next time. Only because I enjoyed the entrees a lot more. They do not skimp when it comes to the mushrooms. I got quite a few filet tips too which were cooked perfectly. The sauce that the pasta came in actually went really well with some bread. The affogato was generous and delicious. I also enjoyed the crème brûlée. You can really taste the lavender flavor in it. Service was very friendly and they tried their best and acknowledged the longer wait (after church lunch rush). Ambiance is just a touch on the fancier side but I still think it's perfectly reasonable as an everyday meal out. I noticed they advertise having a banquet hall. It was a really good meal without feeling sluggish afterwards. I ended up only finishing half the fettuccine and taking the other half home. Fuso over the Americanized chain place any day!

The team at Fuso Restaurant are fantastic! Worked with manager Liling to cater for my wedding on 6/8/2024. Liling was very thorough with explaining the options and process for getting all of my requested entree needs met for the wedding reception dinner. Her wait staff made themselves available during the reception dinner to assist with serving guests and answering any questions that came up which was greatly appreciated. The tri-tip and lamb were a huge hit along with chicken Alfredo and pasta incarcerata with all of our guests. All food was served with attention to detail regarding cleanliness and fresh to the taste. Our wedding was a huge success thanks to the team at Fuso Restaurant. Thank you Fuso for making our big day so special

Food: 3/5 We came for brunch. The menu was good but the food was okay. The eggs were over cooked (on both plates). I'm not a fan of brown eggs.Ambiance: 3/5 Cute, old Italian decor but dated. Service:2/5 They were nice but wasn't very attentive. Waited about 7 minutes to be acknowledged at the hostess area and our server would disappear and forget what we requested.

This place is very cute. Makes you feel like you are in an Italian village. We went on a busy Friday night and were able to get a table right away. The customer service was great. We got the poke tower and it was phenomenal! Super yummy! I got the gnocchi with the cream sauce with prawns and my husband got the spaghetti special. I didn't know what gnocchi was so that's my fault that I didn't like it (I really don't like dumplings) but the sauce was amazing and the shrimp were perfect! The spaghetti was delicious! Great flavor and a little kick!

Julie our server is amazing!Such wonderful attention to detail and knowledge of the food and options to personalize them for her customers. Food is always great. Ambiance is medium to low light for a romantic intimate feel.

We came in here for the special this week and it did not disappoint! They had some crazy good deal because it's restaurant week in town so a salad, main course and sweet treat was $35. I had the house salad with balsamic it was very good.. and then had the filet medallions with potatoes and veggies and then a sampler for dessert. The fillet was very good, I asked for medium rare hold the mushroom... they ended up having to bring out another plate without mushrooms but otherwise it was good. I will say my plate in comparison to the others who ordered the same thing they skimped on the veggies which I was bummed about.... But the steak was tender and delicious! The sauce was also very good. The sampler was ok the cheesecake I'm pretty sure was store bought - everyone got a little sample and I'm fairly sure I've bought the same cheesecake sample packs before. The tiramisu on the other hand was outstanding! If they didn't make it I would love to know where it was from! Lol and the lemon bar was good. Our server was friendly and attentive! And the place was very clean! I will be back for sure!

Full-service restaurant! Delicious gnocchi, salads, fish and seafood with pasta! And the lavender crème brûlée was so delicious! Service is kind, prompt and friendly! And it's an enchanting vibe there as well!

We celebrated my husband birthday last night for the first time in downtown Vacaville. Everybody, from reception to server, is amazing! Our server, Taylor, went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and really honest about the kids food servings! I saw her wash her hands so often (my husband joked she must be in a nursing school program, but kudos to her!!) Everyone's ( including chefs/cooks) said goodbyes and thank yous when we're walking out. Their food was amazing!! Their pasta and food tasted so fresh it was surprising. Only reason why not giving 5 stars is that they were slow to offer drink refills and had to ask for that. Other than that, the experience far exceeded what we were expecting and will definitely be returning again soon.

Decent food and service. Just not what they used to be. Still good for a quick evening getaway.

Great dinner very reasonable price. Service was fine. Noticed several groups of at least 6. We'll visit again.
