Full Out Studios

Had such a great experience here. Grew up dancing and was looking for a good class for someone who is not a beginner but also hasn't danced in years, and had such a lovely time. Atmosphere is cool, upbeat and judgment free. Highly recommend for all levels and styles!

We actually came here for a special Heart & Hustle Ball. Here was our experience on a Saturday evening.AMBIANCE:Surroundings - Everything a quarter of a mile is managed and maintained from the streets to the buildings. A little bit further...it could look sketch. Make sure to park close. There may not be any walking distant eatery spots but you're walking distance.Parking - Mainly street parking, good thing you're not in the busy side of Oakland.Customer Service - Good friendly vibes all around!TL;DR OVERALL5 Stars. Solid studio. Spacious for two groups and a pretty neat green room with a ping pong table. The vibes were pleasant, mirrors were helpful, and the people there were positive. Great place to host dance events or connect with other dancers.Advice:* Park close an look into their dance events.

Really loved taking my contemporary dance classes here when I was still in the throes of my dancing kick. I soon found out just how ungraceful I was but the instructors were super encouraging and the environment made me feel hip and like I belonged. Really glad I took their intensive and braved the Spring Showcase the first time around but definitely not a phase I continued running with. Well it was good while it lasted, thanks for the memories Full Out!

Whaaaaaat! Full Out Studios!Full Out Studios is the newest dance studio in The Bay. I have to tell you that I am SO EXCITED that this new space is open. They have hip hop classes, yoga classes, dance workshops (werkshops) and more. There are so many varieties of classes, each day is different and the instructors are so extremely talented. It is super close to West Oakland BART, and finding street parking hasn't been a problem for me. The freeway is literally right around the corner, so driving is a piece a cake.If you haven't checked it out, you should. I have found my new dance home and I'm so excited! I love the dance classes full out offers!! I've taken some heels classes and some non heels classes hip/hop classes they are all awesome! I also love the seasonal skillshop showcases they do! I've participated in one and it's just a great way to grow and show what you've learned! I love that it's a safe space to just go and be yourself and just dance from your heart and grow!! Full out is awesome...Parking though can be a real b word it's all street parking and it can be tough some times I wish they had a lot. But overall fullOut is great!

Super fun spot to dance but unfortunately they make it incredibly difficult to cancel / rebook / receive a refund. The policy previously was unclear and when cancelling you are not reminded of the policy so you need to know to seek it out. They also offer deals at times (e.g., 10 classes for $200) and then the deal classes later only apply to 1/3 of the classes available, which is not clear upfront. When I've looked to clarify in the past, I've never received an email response or a call back. Overall poor customer service.

*Studio : Very beautiful space. It has brick walls and mirror on one side. The room is spacious and the speakers are great. Perfect for dancers. You can hear every beat clearly. Love the texture of the floor (not sure if this matters but it is a thing for me in some ways). You can glide gracefully across the dance floor. *Classes : yasss. I mean... Yassss!!! *Transportation : it is just one and a half block away from West Oakland Bart. Though walking at night could be a little shady, getting there is super easy. *Price : It is $14 for one class or $125 for 10(if I'm not mistaken?) and they have other options which I forgot. *Overall : I love dancing. I love the commUNITY at Full Out. It is super close to my house and I'm excited! See you there!

The look of this studio alone is everything!!Great ambiance when you first walk in to when you leave. You almost wanna stay the night!!After doing my research when I first moved to Oakland; I quickly found out this was the studio for me! I moved back to Az and the connects I met at Full Out studios have further connected with people I know from Az/LA, it's crazy how life works it's wonders! Full Out studios brought back my passion for performance and I met some crazy cool choreographers than I still follow to this day! Thankyou for that

Monday nights w/Mace Trigga aka Mason are the BEST!! He makes you step out of your comfort zone in such an open space & the creativity just flows. The vibes/energy levels are out of this world, would recommend this class to anyone/everyone! Genuinely feel myself growing as a dancer & learning A LOT from him. Thank you Mason!(: ***We need more class from him!!***

I'm new to this studio upon recommendation from a friend, and my first impression is enough to propel me into putting in some time for a Yelp review. Front desk is friendly/helpful when at the studio in-person, and remote email/text communications with management about scheduling changes are all resolved promptly. Moreover, Jess B. is an exemplary teacher on top of being an incredible dancer in that they're so effective at teaching movement to all different levels of students. It's not so much that they're nice and inclusive; lots of people can smile and wave and be nice. It's that they really excel at communication. That, and impeccable technique! I absolutely love watching them demo'ing their own works in class; a solid mix of classical foundation underneath the jazz funk choreo. Pure joy!
