Friendly service. Street parking is problematic.Purchases: 2 green tomatoes, 2 zucchinis, 1 yellow squash for $2.75. Dessert from Fully Belly - strawberry 'n cream cake and brownie cheesecake for $11.00. Pricy, but worth it.This farmer's market is not year round. Open on Saturdays from July 17 through November 13. Hours of operation: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

This is a great farmers market in the Longfellow neighborhood of Oakland. One of the producers has a small farm on the lot next this market. Talk about locally produced food! The community here is really positive. It's on the smaller size but the quality of what they are selling is great. If you're tired of the crowds, you should definitely visit this farmers market.

So, I love farmers markets! I can go to 3 or 4 on the weekend. I life the vibrancy of the markets. I love the sounds of people enjoying the markets. The hustle and bustle. I try and plan my meals for the week and shop accordingly.I was so happy to recently hear about the Freedom Farmers Market on Telegraph. It was easy to find. While there were only a small number of venders, they had everything I needed without the crowds at bigger markets. The people working were awesome! It was a pleasure to shop.Thank you for a great experience. See you Saturday.

Small but sweet little market supporting independent farmers and local businesses. Buy some veggies and try the vegan pesto pizza from Billy's Raw Food - it's unusual and delicious.

Small but really good -- only a few vendors but definitely enough to get your vegetables for the week! And a very sweet woman selling beautiful jams and jellies, among other things. I got some fantastic peppers (there were probably 10 different kinds!), eggplant, onions, greens, herbs, etc. Highly recommended and a fantastic mission, too.

This small market has a surprisingly wide range of affordable organic fruits and veggies, as well as some vegan baked goods and prepared stuff. Not many shoppers, unfortunately it runs at the same time as both Phat Beets (also under-attended) and downtown Berkeley farmers market.
