This is a great small business in the Laurel neighborhood of Oakland that we are happy to support. We tried their Farmer's Daughter pizza with bacon, thin shaved Yukon gold potatoes, and farm fresh egg - what an incredible combination. We also lucked out that they had The Pig and Fig on the menu as a special, thanks to a friend in the neighborhood providing freshly picked figs from their tree. With the figs and fig spread it is the perfect combination of sweet and savory. Their mozzarella has an incredible fresh taste and really completes the pizzas. I liked the wood fired touch and if you fold the slices NY style you won't lose your toppings. Staff were friendly and upbeat even after the storefront had been broken into earlier in the week. So many mouthwatering pizza combos on the menu we can't wait to come back and try more!

I ordered through DoorDash, so I can only speak on the food quality. I had a craving for pizza and this place popped up. Normally I don't order through door dash, but the day before I decided to join a softball team, I woke up and could hardly get out of bed. This place popped up and I read through some reviews and decided it was close by and people like it. I ordered the Classico pizza, based of the pictures this looked like exactly want I want. What I got was very disappointing. My pizza looked more like a cheese pizza, hardly any pepperoni or mushrooms. The pieces that did have toppings were great, but overall, I wish my pizza had looked like the other pictures. I will continue my search for an awesome pizza in the Oakland Area.

A friend brought pizzas from Fist of Flour to our Halloween party this year. What a hit!! Crispy classic crust with delicious tangy sauce. I tried the Classico (Pepperoni, Crimini Mushrooms, Chopped Garlic, Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Basil on the side) & Soprano (Sopressata Salami, Shallots, Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Basil on the side)They also have a Vegan pizza (Tomato Sauce, Spinach, Mushroom, Red Onion, Olives, Poblano Peppers, Chopped garlic, Shallots, Arugula, Basil on the side )So tasty and delicious. They are open Thurs-Sun for pick up or delivery.

This thin-crust, oven-baked pizza is outstanding, with a perfect char on the bottom that adds just the right amount of crispness. They offer a great variety of delicious toppings and a selection of different olive oils to elevate the flavors. The vibe inside is relaxed, and the staff are genuinely polite and welcoming. The "pizza crack" topping is a must-try - absolutely delicious!

James and Fist of Flour Pizza Company provided the wood fire pizza oven and AMAZING pizza for a 23d birthday party in Oakland last weekend. James was super responsive in communicating prior to the event, the menu selections were varied and seasonal, and honestly, the pizza was fantastic. James was flexible with the timing during the party, so friendly, and the guests loved standing around the pizza oven and watching it in action. Did I mention I'm an event planner, so I have really high standards! Fist of Flour is now on my list for future events.

We did take out, so I can't speak to the ambiance or service. The pizza was decent, ready fast, and tasty, but the crust was just ok. It might be better fresher (didn't try any until we got home). The blueberry one was the most interesting and unique, but there were a lot of intriguing combinations on the menu, so I'd consider going back to get a fuller picture. The marguerita was perfectly ok. The Caesar salad with classic dressing was kind of boring, I'd try the other version next time.

Fist of Flour catered my parent's surprise birthday party this weekend and I couldn't wait to leave my review. Every detail was seamless. James, the owner, was communicative, reasonable, helpful and creative with some of our unique requests (i.e. waiting down the block with his large mobile oven to not ruin the surprise). His pricing is reasonable for the amount of food provided. The pizza was incredible, came out piping hot fresh from his mobile oven, and salads were the perfect compliment. His team member was also so helpful and efficient. I could not speak more highly of my experience working with Fist of Flour. 10/10.

Love a thin, bubbly crust with ample high quality toppings. That's exactly what your get here. I ordered through door dash and it was ready in the blink of an eye. I got the Clasico and love the addition of roasted garlic bits on top, along with the fact they give you fresh basil leaves with your cheese and peppers!

Fist of Flour Pizza Co Doughjo is a wood fire pizza place in East Oakland. Wood fire pizza usually means you'll get a thin crust pizza, baked really fast. I decided to try the Classico Pizza, which is a pepperoni pizza with tomato sauce, mushrooms, mozzarella, basil, and chopped garlic. The pizza is about 14" wide, with a very thin crust. The pizza had a nice spread of pepperoni and mushrooms. As well as a good sprinkle of chopped garlic. The garlic gave the pizza a nice spicy taste. Why 4-stars? Although leopard-spotting is normal with pizzas made in wood fire ovens, my pizza had a bitter taste from the charring.
