Firebrand is a great addition to the offerings in Spirits Alley and super awesome it is right next to Almanac. The fresh bread selection is solid and we really love their sandwiches. All in all a great place to grab a bite for breakfast or lunch.

We arrived at Firebrand Bread cafe around 10:20 AM and encountered a bit of a line, which is always a good sign! After about a 23-minute wait, we were able to place our order. We tried the Pulled Pork with fried potatoes, the Fried Egg with Jam, and the Honey Biscuit (though the croissant was tempting!). While the flavors were enjoyable, I found the pulled pork lacking in seasoning. The Breakfast Pizza was an interesting concept, but the egg yolk was a bit overcooked for my preference. I felt the overall flavor profile was a bit too salty.Despite these minor observations, Firebrand Bread has a fantastic location across from the sports fields, and their outdoor seating area is absolutely lovely! I've heard great things about their croissants, and my son has always been a fan. Perhaps we just had an off day this time around.

Horrible customer service from the staff at the register to the supervisor. it seems nobody cares here. had an unpleasant experience here wont be back. Also , do not order the pico de gallo potato bowl unless your ok with having a pound of potato's for breakfast that is all it is.

Inedibly terrible pizza. Too much cheese, very salty. No distinctive flavor. Made me sad.

The aesthetics of this bakery reminded me of Amsterdam; it was so cute and the interior was beautiful. If you go in the morning the sun shines in and it is just the best place to hangout with friends to grab a pastry in the morning! They have ritual coffee which I really like and I ordered a capp. We also ordered their breakfast pizza which has egg! We also ordered their French toast, a kouign aman, and a couple other pastries. Everything was so good! The texture of the kouign aman was everything I could ask for.. perfect crispness and sweetness. Can't wait to come back and eat the other pastries!

Firebrand is a great addition to Spirits Alley on the old Alameda naval base. It is directly next to a couple breweries and right across from a sports complex/gym. Such a great spot for this business! They have: -Specialty lattes like Buko Pandan, Tumeric Ginger, and Strawberry Matcha; -Lots of different pastries like a bomboloni, chocolate croissant, etc-Bottled drinks: water, apple juiced-Assortment of Numi Teas-A full menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner items, including pizza! If you go to breakfast, I highly recommend the Pico de Gallo Potatoes or the Biscuits and Gravy! So delicious and filling. Their Mushroom Melt toast is also a great go-to if you're looking for something smaller to eat. Other things I love about this place: - you can order food and bring it with you to the breweries right next door! - it's family friendly, with a cool jumbo connect four game and cornhole outside- there is indoor and outdoor seating The only downside is that the wait can be really long if you are there on the weekends and going at the hour mark when soccer classes across the street are done. This usually happens at 9, 10 and 11am so plan accordingly. Sometimes, you could get lucky though and breeze right on through the line. Doesn't stop me from going every Sunday!

This is one of the best lunch spots in Alameda. There's plenty of free parking so it's not a struggle like when you go to places on Park or Webster. There is a nice outdoor area dining area with picnic tables and umbrellas when you want some fresh air and sunshine and a bright indoor dining area for the days it is too cold or wet to be outside.Sometimes the baked goods are a little on the dry side for my liking but I love their hot dishes. Everything is made to order and just tastes clean and healthy. The tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich are my favorite. They are a perfect combo for Alameda because the weather is usually cool enough so you can have this any day of the year. The BLT is also amazing. The bread is toasted just right. The salads are on the expensive side but they are very hearty and big enough to share.Don't skip the soft serve. That's always a fun treat. But if you want to take something for later, grab one of their fabulous espresso cookies.

What a cool place this is tucked amongst the relics of the former Naval base in Alameda. As soon as you open the door, the smell of baked goods hits you. As you approach the counter you are dazzled with the variety of foods ranging from loaves of bread, to cookies, pretzels, croissants, danishes, bombolonis, and kouign amanns. And of course their artisan coffees and meals.Having seen the reviews in the SF Chronicle and being down the street today, how could I pass the opportunity up?I was hungry so the order included a ham and cheese croissant for me, a passion fruit bomboloni for my friend and the chocolate swirl and almond croissant for the hubby.Ham and cheese croissant had baked on cheese and three slices of spiral ham along with a nice slice of cheese. Winner!!The chocolate swirl is beautiful and so light but for us, more chocolate please. The almond croissant is also feather light and needed more of the almond pastry cream is all.I can't wait to come back for more treats!Parking right out the door. Please support this local business.

Some great pastries and foodMatcha croissant - amazing! Very matcha and filled with cheaux cream, so good!! It's like beard papa x croissant. My favorite thing from hereAlmond croissant - large and tasty, it is unique in that it has a hint of a citrus zest. Though not the best almond paste, it does the job and is great!Goat cheese pretzel - underwhelming and dry, not much herb flavor and wouldn't recommendEspresso cookie - super yummy and love the texture. Would recommendKids chicken fingers and fries- low salt, perfect for my almost 2 year old toddler. Chicken was crispy and fries were medium well done but not to crispy. Portion was large and we shared You can sit inside or outside, there is a large connect 4 game to keep your kids busy and self serve water is a blessing on hot daysOverall would return, especially if visiting Almanac next door

3.5: Went on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't too crowded, but it was a very lively location. As someone who indulges in matcha, I don't think it's great. Their coffee is probably better but I can't attest to it as I did not try it.The pastries looked delicious so I got the matcha croissant and the hazelnut kouign aman. The matcha croissant had some matcha cream in it, but it was not as strong as I would like and the kouign aman definitely had to be reheated for proper enjoyment.
