Always great experience, specially for a quick shop before dinner or after the gym. Great service when ordering beef and at the counter. I order this beef for my dog and it's one of the only things that work well for his sensitive stomach (yes we tried kibble, but no luck). Great for healthy options and even the sushi and salsa that are made somewhere close locally are good.

Good neighborhood market. Often with no lines.Nice selection of produce, meat etc. Not as large as the other location at MacArthur & Fruitvale, but often has what I'm looking for and much closer

I love this little grocery store. A smaller version of the larger one on Fruitvale but the same quality food and produce. The bigger store does have more selection and this one does not sell alcohol. Earlier this week I went to the bigger one and wow was I happy to be back to my regular store. The cashiers are always searching for stickers for my kiddo. The aisles are small so pick the smallest cart option. Based on the set up you may have to double back for something you forgot. Pay attention to where the organic vs conventional veggies and fruit are located. If you stay to the right towards the butcher that first aisle is non organic. Overall, a lovely shopping experience.

I'm all for the survival of local mom and pop stores but the line to pay is sooooo long here all the time. They should do something about it. It's nuts.

This Farmer Joe's is smaller than Farmer Joe's Marketplace located in Fruitvale, which is just a few minutes away. They have their own parking lot. It is quite small but it was easy to find parking. Shopping carts are outside in the lot, with no sanitation area in site. Once entering the store, it's kind of dark and has a weird smell. It might've been from the meat/seafood section that's in the front. The aisles seems a bit narrow. It gets difficult to push your cart through when it's busy. The store was pretty empty with a few other customers when I went and I still had to wait until they were finish getting their items before I was able to get through. Their selection was decent. I was able to grab everything from my to buy list under ten minutes. It was pleasant shopping here.

Excellent huge selection of local, organic, nit-organic (but no chemicals) vegetables & fruits. Great staff. Family owned.

It's my go to for convenience, but I have bought bad fruit before, opened chips (didn't realize till I got home), and the service is beyond lacking (and sometimes borderline rude).

It will do if I need a quick grocery run for dinner. I buy what I have to and pay. Just make sure you check the fruit twice cuz they can be sitting there for awhile.

This the older Farmer Joes. It is a corner store with fresh meats and vegetables. When I go early in the morning (9 am) there aren't many people there (which I particularly like during Covid times). When I went there today, I wasn't able to get what I wanted--bones for making bone broth. The friendly butcher explained to me that they don't have a saw to cut meat there. They do have fresh fish, meats, and some pretty cool sausages. The thing that I don't like is they don't wipe down shopping carts between uses, or have supplies for customers. I did see some unlabeled hand sanitizer as you enter and exit.

At the checkout today, the cashier started to bag my groceries into a single bag. I asked for a double, as I had several pounds of bananas and at least 2 pounds of green beans, as well as numerous other items. She wouldn't do that, told me the bag was light and would be fine. sure enough, as i handed over the bag and receipt to the security guard, it broke and everything tumbled to the floor. when i went back to her station for another bag, she refused to apologize and told me it was my fault for asking for a single bag. whatever happened to apologizing when making a mistake? this is not good customer service.
